AF started June 20.......so my Femara journey begins...

So today the wicked witch showed :(
Now I have to fill my Femara RX. This will be my first round of Femara. I O on my own, but my RE says to try Femara for 2 rounds with just BD & then we will move on to IUI. I hope we get preggo this time. We have been TTC for 3 YEARS!!! & no explanation as to why I have never been preggo. I do not have a lot of faith in Femara because I do not see how it will help me.....but I guess it's the next step. Wish me luck

Hey sunny!! I know how you feel!! It's very frustrating. I have unexplained infertilty...it's been about 18 months of trying with no baby. I just had the HSG test 2 weeks ago and tubes were open. Doc wants me to wait 2-3 cycles and then try IUI. I pray you will be blessed with a positive Prego test very soon!! *****BABY DUST YOUR WAY*********** :) Don't ever give up!!!
Hey Girls! I had the trigger (ovidrel) yesterday morning & IUI 24 hours later, & I am having another IUI tomorrow AM as well....
This has been the most aggressive I have been in 3 years...only my 2nd round of Femara & my first IUI in all the 3 years that I have been TTC.
I hope it works this time.
When I had my U/S yesterday the tech said I have 5 cysts that look suspicious, so if this IUI does not work, I may have a LAP done to see if I have endo or scar tissue. Although my RE thinks that endo is not the case since I have zero symptoms, we may have to take a look or move straight to IVF
We'll see....I hope I don;t have to go that far :)
I know how hard this TTC journey is for EVERYONE....it's so damn frustrating but it feels good to finally be doing something new & maybe making progress towards a diagnosis instead of "Unexplained" I hate not knowing!
Hope you all keep your chin up & don't give up.

sunny - i had 4 or 5 large cysts after a round of injectables and IUI and they sucked! i knew something was up and weird about that cycle!!
have you used clomid - probly a dumb question - just wondering if you got cysts on that as well. I will be starting with clomid soon and i O on my own and wonder if i will be getting cysts.
i wont be monitored at all during the cycles tho.

No I have never used Clomid....
I'm not even sure if the Femara caused the cysts, but either way there were 5 of them & 3 were over 16mm, the other 2 were under 11mm but one was "complex" Not sure what that means. The tech called them endometriomas, but then my RE said that they cannot diagnose endometriomas without seeing them via Lap. SO I'm really confused. I decided not to use any meds this cycle & I've been praying a lot. I'm pretty down in the dumps lately. I hope you have better luck!!! You have been through a lot as well.

Hey Fran, I am doing well. I will be starting clomid next cycle to see if it brings me more luck.
I had my gyno appt on Thursday & he did an U/S & only saw 2 small cysts left from the 5 cysts seen 2 months ago. So they were functional cysts that are shrinking now & hopefully by the time I start Clomid, they will be gone.
Everything else looked great on u/s & I will be praying that clomid does the trick...it will be my first time using it :P

Hi everyone..I just finished ovulation well today and starting out for my 2WW yippy. This cycle was my 2nd round of femara. Doc said not to test progestrone becasue last month is was good so he is assuming it is fine this month. I will keep you all posted if I get prego. If anyone wants to read and claim psalms 113 gives praise to God and having babies is a gift to women from God and its a promise. Keep praying and baby glitter to all
