Multiple miscarriage and successful pregnancies-what can you advise

May 21, 2008

Hi Everyone

Some of you may be aware of my tragic journey of multiple miscarriages, there are some of you who are now carrying nearing full term like SBF (great!!!so happy for you hon), can you ladies tell me what you did differently, what medications and treatment you have undergone that might have helped your baby stick. I am sooooo frustrated!! My docs (have changed 2) have never recommended baby aspirin (as they think I have 'no clotting' disorder) but some of you seem to have been taking it, were you on Metformin/clomid as well if so what dose? Any of you are insulin resistant and on diet/exercise regime? after my last miscarriage (3 weeks ago) I have been told I am insulin resistant and need to continue metformin and lose 5-10% of body weight. This is so hard...Dr Q can I start taking baby aspirin 100 even if my doc doesn't advise it as I hear it helps with pregnancy for PCOS women?? am not TTC-ING this month but only in August but want to know what I can do in advance to prevent another miscarriage. SBF i would llove to hear your story...

hi. ive lost my babies in 4th month of my preg. i also have pcos and have no clotting prob but m suggested by a doc to have baby aspirin for few months before i start to plan again.i dont really know how helpful it is until i try to conceive again hopefully next month...my question is that do i have to carry on the aspirin even after i get my results that i am preg?

In am taking baby aspirin and have no clotting issues either. My doctor told me it was to help increase blood flow to the uterus to help support/sustain the baby. I am also taking progesterone suppositories and things are going ok so far. I am currently 9 weeks 6 days today.

is this progesterone for hormones ? i usually am told by docs to take folic acid but my vomiting is too much during preg and i end up gettin drips every two days of glucose.. cuz i get dehydrated..
