Aww...best of luck to you and your hubby!!! Did you have a HSG test done??? How long did you try to get pregnant your first time?? Sorry to hear about your loss!! How expensive are IUI's?? Is that like artifical insemination??? Sorry for all the questions...Lots of baby dust your way as well!!!!!!!! ;)

Hi everyone!!! I'm a 31 year old female. I'm so glad I found this forum!! I got off birth control right after I got married 4 years ago. I was real careful and would not have intercourse the week I was ovulating and use the pull out method the other weeks. I did this because I was not trying to get pregnant because i wanted to finish nursing school first. Anyways in January of 06 I started to try and have intercourse when I ovulated. I could always tell when I ovulated by the cervical mucus. I have never missed a period in my whole life and and my cyle is always 29-30 days. Well after 6 months of trying I told my gyno. She said to keep trying for 6 more months and to use a OPK to see what day I get my LH surge. Well I did that for 6 months and I got a positive OPK on day 12 every month. So I knew I was ovulating. After the 6 months I had my husband get tested and everything was fine. Well, I decided to wait 4 more more months to see if anything happened and no baby!! :( Finally in june of this year my gyno tested my progestorne level and it was nice and high. She did a post coil test and my cervical mucus was thin and strecthy (which is good) and sperm were moving foward. Then I just had an HSG test (where they flush your tubes) and my tubes were not blocked. I am praying that this month I will get pregnant following the HSG test. It's just so frustrating to know that everything is fine but I still can't get pregnant. I've been so depressed about it that I can't get out of bed on the days I don't work and just seeing children puts tears to my eyes!! Thank you for your stories! hope to hear from someone soon!!
Hello Jules...welcome to the website. I am also pretty new but I have really learned a lot and saw how close and supportive everyone seems to be. We have been ttc for about a year and half too. I also had a dr tell me to keep trying with out giving me any sort of help. I switched drs and found out a lot more and had an hsg done. Babydust to you Jules. I know EXACTLY what you are going through. DH & I are in the same position & we've had all testing to show that we are healthy including an HSG....we have been TTC for over 3 years. It is unexplained infertility.
I am moving on to IUI this cycle & then to IVF.

Sorry for the delayed response.
I have had HSG test done, all clear and okay. We only tried 10 months before we fall preg, but lost at 7weeks. Becuase of that my doc kept saying we knowyou can fall so just wait and it will happen. After 1 1/2 yrs i got sick of this and changed doctors.
I live in Australia and IUI are $1000.00 each try, but we can claim some of this back through our health system. My IUI, they did ultrasounds to check follicles, had blood tests everyday and when your body is ready they insert the sperm directly into you.
But 3 lots of that have failed so starting IVF in about 6 weeks.

Hi! Welcome to the site. I am not sure what is worse, having no issues or having medical issues (I guess both are equal). I hope all works out for you! And that we can all be happy with children on this site! Dont give up, I did for a year and now an back into the game again. If you have any ??? just ask, I have (as well as many others on the site) have been through IVF, IUI and pregnancy, so we want to help you! Its a GREAT support site! Just great
Hi Jules! I just read one of your posts on another thread, then read your story. This sucks doesn't it??!! You do everything right and nothing seems to work. Sometimes it just makes you wonder-what is the plan in all this madness!?
Our stories seem pretty similar so far. I went off birth control in Jan 07 and just tried to time bd around ovulation. Then we started to ttc in June 07. We tried for a year and got nothing. We just saw a doc at the beginning of Aug. We've done bw, sa, hsg, and those have all been fine. So there's nothing wrong here either...except the fact that we're not preggo yet!!
I'm also a nurse and I really think that that is half of our problem! I used to work in a big ER-so that was stressful, but I loved it. But now we live in a different state, in a tiny town and I work in a tiny ER. It's not nearly as stressful, but I work nights 4 days a week and DH works a 7-5pm job, so timing is a factor. I'm really not enjoying my job and haven't made a lot of friends here, so I'm also wondering if down in the dumps moods could be a problem too? It's just crazy, we people that don't have physical problems start looking at all these different factors to find an explanation.

aww sweety we are all here for you trust me its a long hard road and you learn so much about yourself during ttc. ive been ttc my first lil miracle since october of 2005. 3 years this month, just saying that makes me want to cry. you are not alone. trust in god and know that everything happens when its best for us. we may not be able to see it now, but one day we will look back on it all, and realize he picked the perfect time for us to have a child. Good luck in your journey Im always here if you need to talk. =) well recently I havent been on as much Im trying not to let ttc consume my life. Im forcing myself to relax and take it "easy" lol. but when I do get on I'll be sure to check in on you!
Hi Jules and wecome 2 ft i have not been a member for very long either but i am glad i found this site bcause u really do get alot of support from friends that have the same familiar problems as u and comfort u b glad u did 2 as u go along you will find some helpful info.Enough about that it is nice 2 meet u me and my dh have been tryin for a long time to concieve ourselves and like the ladys here say it's not easy we have tried everything except going to the doc.bcause it is so expensive and we cannot afford it so we do the next best thing the over the counter options like the male infertility thing in a box it was a light color but was still a positive i have done the opk's many times and that didn't even work like i said we tried many things and NOTHING happens i am ready to quit trying again it has gotten so depressing for me.I cannot understand it neither.Just know ur not alone u have friends like us for support keep in touch let us know when u have a break through til we talk again i will b rooting for ya lots of love and baby dust beeing sent your way have a blessed day.Good luck hun.

Just wanted to let u know there is hope with IUI, just hang in there! Our fertility issues are unexplained as well and everything is normal.

Hi Jules. I saw one of your posts on another thread too and just read your story. I'm also 31 and still trying after 12 months and a miscarriage in between. I have all the same feelings you have. I can't look at kids or babies without crying.
I'm now on my first round of Clomid for un-explained infertility. Have you been to an RE or taken Clomid before?

welcome to the site. I am the same as you - 34 yrs old and trying for nearly 3 years. I had lost 1 baby at 7 weeks - 2 years ago, since then nothing.
No problems with me or hubby and i am in 6 weeks going to start IVF.
Don't give up, It is not easy, but the main thing I would say to you is follow through, and keep pushing your doctor for help. I changed doctors as mine kept saying just wait. I have done 3 IUI's and that didnt work so now onto IVF.
Reading this site makes me know that I am not alone.
