Hi Josikim and welcome to the site. We have loads of women on this site that are taking clomid to help them ovulate. Wishing you the best of luck and ***babydust*** again. Do you have PCOS?

June 08, 2008

Hi and thanku for your kind welcome. It makes me feel better already hearing that many women on this site are using clomid, no I don't have pcos I've had a few ultrasounds and everything came back perfect which put my mind at ease. I've always had very irregular periods thogh and was put on the pill very early to get a cycle occuring.

Have they checked your hormone levels? That is very helpful to know and your tyorid (sp)....

June 08, 2008

yes all blood tests were done before my dr started me on clomid and everything came back normal, thyroid was normal too.... It's crazy how emotional the whole rollercoaster is, i'm getting used to needles now though he he....

interesting how long are your periods...what do you mean by irregular?

June 08, 2008

From the day I started my period age 14 i bled for almost 3weeks of course my mum was concerned and took me to the drs, who then put me on the pill aand i've been on it ever since, well until december. On the pill they were very regular now that i'm on the progesterone they are to and last for between 3-7 days.

June 08, 2008

Yes the periods are very long too long in fact. Putting you on the pill does cause your ovaries in a "sleep" mode and those periods you have are not real periods. Do you have painful periods and have they checked you for endo?

June 08, 2008

yeah, my dr explained the "sleep" mode so to speak and the fact that i'd been having synthetic periods for so long. Been checked for endo and got the all clear.

June 08, 2008

how long is your cycle for example the start of your period from one mth to another mth....for example I have a 28 day cycle so my period started this past Monday, June 2 and I'm due for my next period on Sunday, June 29...which would mean that I would have ovualted 14 days before the 29th....

June 08, 2008

also are you dealing with a regular gypo or a RE

June 08, 2008

I'm Seeing my gyno on a regular basis and also my normal gp is a gyno too.Roughly 28 days as i've never had a period off the pill they have been withdrawal bleeds from the progesterone, i"m not sure I have a regular cycle.

How old are you and are you trying to get preggo now? How long have you been ttc?

If you don't have regular periods you are not ovulating and that is why he placed you on clomid. You might want to look into seeing a specialist....RE to help you.
