I am 29 years old, married, and have one wonderfully cute son Dominic who is 8.
When our son was 4 we decided we wanted to add to the family. We soon found out that I had a condition called PCOS. It basically causes you to not ovulate, raise your insulin, grow unwanted hair, gain weight around your stomach, and get acne. It's a real joy.
Anyway....4 years later after several rounds, pauses, and increases of clomid we made it happen. We found out we were due March 20, 2009. We had every reason to believe we were expecting a vibrant healthy kid. At 13 weeks we had an utlrasound that revealed an active baby with an excellent heartbeat. At 15 weeks and 3 days we went to determine the sex of the baby at the 4d ultrasound place here in town. Well with my parents, his parents, and our little boy we all stare in shock as the baby is not moving or has a heartbeat. We headed to the hospital where 2 doctors confirmed there was no movement. The next day my ob confirmed yet again that there was no heartbeat. I had a DNC surgery on September 30, 2009.
My doctor said the baby measured to the day so he thought it had only happened a day or two before we found out. We are waiting from pathology to see if there is any further insight to why this happened.
