Hello, to all the ladies on this site, I am so elated to find a website with women going through the infertility journey. I pray that I will find women who can share their stories with me and give me advice, vice versa. Well, I have been married to my hubby for two years now, together 7. We have been ttc for five years on our own when we finally realized or rather got out of denial that something was wrong. To out surprise everything checked out fine and we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. So, for two years we we have endured fertility treatments with 6 rounds of clomid therapy, 3 IUI's with clomid and next month we will start IUI's with injectables. I even started seeing an acupuncturist 3 months ago due to stress, I found out I was diabetic and had to be hospitalized (sugar over 700). So, if anyone can help with any advice especially anyone who is diabetic please do not hestitate to leave me a message and I will be more than happy to help anyone with what I know. God bless and baby dust to all!

Thanks Angelfish, really appreciate all the love that has been shown thus far and I am so glad I found this web site because going through this journey causes you to feel lonely, isolated, and down right depress, just glad that all of u understand and that we can be a support to each other. How is your journey going...........
yes it is and that is what this site is good for you have all of the support no matter what is going on with your life.
Our journey is going good we are finding out with what is going on with my dh and so far it looks good...cancer is out of the picture now for him. So hoping we will get good results with his sa next week if not there is stuff that can be done. Now I'm getting worried about my age but nothing can be done with that. Right now I have put ttc on the back burner until I can lose more weight and get his stuff taken care of:)))

Angel, I have faith that everything will check out good with the hubby and noticed you said you are losing weight, what are you doin to lose weight? I found out that I was diabetic back in Sept and since then I have been following a strict diabetic diet (I indulge in Dove Beyond Vanilla at least once every 2 weeks!) and the metformin has also help me to lose 35 pounds! So, I know it's hard trying to lose weight, but u can do it! God luck and keep me posted on your progress!
Yes I am and so far within a week I have lost 11.1 lbs by watching what I eat and decreasing the sweets and diet coke and water water water
My mother was a diabetic and she was able to have another baby but her weight was an issue. Are you working with a RE that specialists in diabetic women...now that is a great key to it is a great dr.

Yes, I am, I was so bummed because of course I could not resume fertility treatments until my hemoglobin levels were under 6.5, in October they were 11.6 and by December they were 6.3. Looking back, I am so glad that my doctor stopped me,told me what to do, made sure I was healthy so I could give my babies a shot because the complications with women with out of control sugars during pregnancy are horrible. But, I could see past what I wanted and the fear that I would never conceive scared me so bad. But, things are looking up and I start injectables in February! So, it was worth the wait and hard work! My prayers was delayed but not denied!
Danielle, it looks like you got a great dr that is looking after you and that is a blessing. I really do think that losing weight and getting in the good rage of weight and getting healthy is the best thing to do. Your health is the most important thing and with having your sugar levels in control will be a win/win situation for your body and the lil one that you will be blessed with...I just know it dear!!! There are so many woman on this site and I have spoken where I live that has taken years I mean years to get preggo.
Well, ladies just wanted to keep u guys updated. Af came Saturday and my nurse instructed me to come in Monday for bloodwork and an ultrascan. Everyday looked ok and I had my first injection of follistim last night(50 units) If there are anyone who are taken or have tooken them and had sucess please share with me. Babydust and stickyglue to all!
Hey ladies, just keeping everyone updated with my progress. I was really bummed on Friday because the ultrasound showed that my follicles was not responding to the meds, but because of my diabetes and "potenial" of producing too many follicles, he kept my dose of 50 units(my estrogen was also low). A little annoyed I just continued with the dosage and when in this morning for more bloodwork and to check on my "potenial babies", well 2 of the 10 small follicles were growing bigger than the others on my left side and he couldn't get a clear view of my right side, so needless to say I'm glued to my cell phone waiting for the nurse to call and tell me to increase or keep my dose to 50 units. If anyone had this issue with injectables please share your experience because I feel like my body is just not doing what it should. Good luck ladies and babydust to all!
Danielle please do not ge frustrated...they say that the first cycle on the injectables can be harder because they have to find the right dose for you to avoid the over stimulation...keep your head up girl..i am sure that it will happen this time and maybe it will do the trick and the famera will hit the spot for me and we will be posting our BFPS together...keep me posted...
Hey ladies just wanted to keep you all updated, on Wednesday my two follicles measured 15/19, he then up my dosage from 50 to 75 on Wednesday night and this moring when he measured my follicles, they measured 18/22 and then I was given my HSG shot, so needless to say, insemination is tommorrow! WOW, I didn't thank it would come so fast, I will be sure to keep everyone posted, please remember me in your prayers tonight!
