Is acyclovir for genital herpes safe during pregnancy?

I was just wondering how safe acyclovir (zovirax) is during the last month of pregnancy? I had to have a c-section with my last pregnancy because of an outbreak that came right before my due date. My doctor wants to put my on this med the last month to prevent any outbreaks. Everything I have read tells me that it is not safe during pregnancy. Is this what is typically done with patients with herpes?

prometruim and getting pregnant.

Ok so I posted here before my prolactin levels were really high and it was because of my risperdal (bipolar medication) Now my prolactin level is back to normal. but I am still on prometruim 10 pills at the beggining of each month. I have been very sexually active while one this prometruim. Is it possible for me to become pregnant if I don't get my period? this is my second round of prometrium, the first time I just got alittle bleeding. nothing big. This time no bleeding yet but I've only been off it two days. Anyways how likely is it that I could be pregnant?...I've been very sexually active while on prometruim. and If I don't get my period and don't know if I'm pregnant or not is it ok for me to start my next round of prometruim next month? will that make me have a misscarige if I am pregnant?

Is it ok to eat cheesecake while pregnant? I am craving the cheesecake like you can buy at wal-mart out of the freezer section or like what you can buy in the backery section. Would it be ok to eat those?

Ovarian Cysts

I'm 37 and have a history of ovarian cysts on and off since age 12. I have a 14yr old DD who I conceived without difficulty after serval months of trying. I'm remarried and have been ttc for 2+ yrs. Just started seeing an RE. Have had problems w/cysts again the last several months. Just got the results of my 9/22 u/s and would like help understanding what this means to me and my fertility and what next steps might be. Also, I'm waiting for AF to arrive so I can get my baseline blood work done with the RE and start the clomid challenge but I've heard clomid is BAD for people with cysts because it can make them worse.

I had both a pelvic and transvaginal u/s, results say:

Uterus measures 8.4 x 4.5 x 5.7 cm in longitudinal, AP and transverse dimensions. The endometrial stripe measures 6mm. No intrauterine masses or fluid collections identified. (ARE THESE MEASUREMENTS "NORMAL"?)

There is no free fluid within the pelvis. The left ovary measures 2.7 x 3.0 x 3.2 cm and contains a simple cyst measuring 2.3 x 2.0 x 2.2 cm. (NOTE: Last time there was NO CYST ON MY LEFT OVARY :-( The right ovary measures 4.8 x 4.2 x 4.0 cm (IS IT NORMAL TO HAVE ONE OVARY LARGER THEN THE OTHER OR IS IT BECUASE OF THE CYSTS?) and contains a simple cyst measuring 3.5 x 4.2 x 2.6 cm. There is a hypoechoic mass measuring 2.4 x 1.4 x 2.3 cm probably a hemorrhagic cyst.

PREVIOUSLY there was a simple cyst measuring 2.1 x 3.0 x 2.1 cm and a hypoechoic mass measuring 1.9 x 1.9 x 1.9 cm suggestive of a hemmorhagic cyst on the right ovary.

Any previous experience or suggestiosn of what to ask my GYN or RE would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so very much!

Painting While Pregnant!

Ok its the question I have to have an answer to, as some say its ok as long as its a well ventilated area, with a mask and a low fume paint (olympic paint is very low in fumes). Is it safe to paint during pregnant?

Im 26weeks pregnant today, and of course im not getting on ladders or anything, but I will have all the windows open in the house and be wearing a white mask like doctors wear. I just cant take not being able to do a thing around the house, and we just moved into a brand new house and one thing I wanted badly was all the rooms painted.

Thanks in advance, hubby was doing this for me and still will, he is very hesitant to let me until he sees its basically safe!

Thanks so much!

Uterine Lining while taking Clomid

My doc prescribed Clomid for me to take whenever I am ready on CD5-9. I have heard that Clomid messes with the lining of the uterus. I forgot to ask if there is anything I can take to help with the lining when I take Clomid. Is there anything over the counter I can take to help with it?

FYI, normally I ovulate on my own but the past 2 cycles I have not. I do not have PCOS. My doc is trying Clomid to give me a boost and to get me back on track.

Discharge while preggo?

Im aout 6 weeks preggo. I have had alot of discharge the past few weeks that is creamy and sticky. Kinda like lotion looking. Anyway I woke up this morning with a couple of spots of yellowish discharge on my panties. The prenatle vit that I take turnes my pee really yellow. I havent had any more discharge than those 2 lil spots. Could it be from the vits, infection, or possible miscarriege?

Salads during pregnancy...

...i just ate a salad that was made fresh (what it said on the lable) at the grocery store. It had blue cheese and some chopped turkey on it which i immediately took out. Is this ok? I may have eaten a few tiny pieces of the turkey. I sure hope so cuz its already in my belly.....
