is it safe to discontinue loprin 75 around 35th week?

Hi Doc,

My Doctor checked for anti-Nuclear Anti-Bodies and the result is weak positive. Also seen cyto-plasmic granularity suggestive of Jo-1. The pattern is SS-A/SS-B.As you are aware that i had a missed abortion(june 07) and chemical pregnancy(march 08). It is with this regard that the above test was done. My gynac has suggested that i take Loprin 75 (as it is weak positive) till that end of june 08. But i got pregnany naturally in may 08. And now i am 7 months pregnant. I had scan done yesterday (ie. 31st week scan) and it was all normal. My due date is 29th jan 09. My lmp date is 24th april 08. My gynac wishes to discontinue loprin 75 by the 35th week. She says that it is not safe to take it till the end of pregnancy. Is it safe to discontinue it at that time? Will i stay pregnant after discontinuing it and deliver around my due date?

Extreme large ovaries and OHSS (Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome)

When I went in for my 7th week ultrasound (no heartbeat detected) my ovaries seemed rather large...the lengths measuring 56 and 39 (was too shocked to pay attention to other numbers)

Is this severe/critical OHSS? could this scar my ovaries? I am unable to conceive mostly because of a severe male factor issue and have never had cysts..will OHSS scar my ovaries?

How long do u think i may have to wait before starting another cycle, fresh or frozen..

thank you

Yet another 2WW

So whether you go by the OPK's I did shown here:

Or you go by the fact that the Microscope showed FULL FERNING on Saturday...

I O'd somewhere between cycle day 7 and 9

So I am officially in the 2WW yet again. The glorious part about it is I feel like we have a REAL chance this month. Everything has gone well so far.

The only thing we did differently this cycle was using Egg whites on cycle day 6,8 & 9 along with my supplements.

We have BD'd cycle day 5am, Day 6pm, Day 8am, Day 9pm and will again today and thru the week as we see fit...Then starting Friday we will have a wonderful 10 days in Paradise for me (us) to rest and hopefully Implant!!

Just wondering if anyone would like to join this new wait with me ??

PS...

Yes, This is normal for me with a no med cycle to O so early

What can the doctors tell you at a 7 week ultrasound?

I will go in to my first doctors appointment and I am going to be 6 weeks and 6 days since lmp and they will do an ultrasound I am curious as to what they can tell me so soon! Like will I be able to hear a heartbeat? will I be able to see a HB? Will they be able to tell if there are multiples in there? Just curious hoping someone can help! lol

thanks!

My 37week Appt

Everything is still the same, 1CM dialated (now for 3 weeks), and still thinning out. He is @ Station -2 like before, I didnt gain any weight from last appointment to this appointment. I have gained a total of 25pounds.

They said Noah is full term and is welcome to come out whenever he would like.

Still having MAJOR pelvic pain, I was in so much pain shopping today, I thought at times I wasnt going to make it ,especially when I tried to speed up my walking to get the shopping done faster.

Im having more CM then normal, well more CM then the past 2 weeks. It totally slowed down a TON for 2 weeks straight, and is now back in full force again as of yesterday and today.

Umm...I think thats about it.

Today is 3weeks from induction date, so either way not long.

I got his christmas outfits today and they are so darn cute. I ended up getting like 4. 2 for Christmas Eve, and 2 for Christmas day, but im hoping that he can wear the Christmas day one all day, its soo darn cute, and got the cutest booties to go with it. But if not I will have to change him.

Cant wait to get him all dressed up :)

Alright thats it, hope all is well with everyone :)

28 Week Dr. Appointment : )

Hello ladies :)

Sorry I havn't really been on here a whole lot lately! I've been super busy with work and stuff with the house building. I had my 28 week check up yesterday- that went well! I did the glucose test which came back normal (YAY!!!) and all my other lab work came back great too! The only thing that is a little "off" is my iron level :( My doctor does not want me to take an iron supplement because she said that often times an iron pill with not work correctly with my thyroid medication. So it looks like I will have to try to eat MORE green veggies and red meat...

One thing that was a bit of concern was that my UA came back 1+ for protein- well atleast when they did some sort of "dip test"- but the general UA did not show protein... so as a precaution they did a liver function test and some other test - both of which came back perfectly normal :) Just thought I'd give you guys a lil update :)

Problem I faced at the 21 st week of my last pregnancy!! please help me

There was a problem during my last pregnancy at the 21 st week. Due to some abnormal with gain the doctors told me to do a USG..I did not do any USG before 21 st week. The USG report showed uncreased amniotic fluid with gross foetal oedema with foetal ascites and bilateral pleural effusion with cystic hygroma around foetal neck I did another test: it showd foetal skin endema, hydrothorax and ascites along with limb shortening. Mild polyhydramnious with increased placental thickness- hydros foetalis..I had to terminate. The doctors suggested TORCH test.

the result:Toxoplasma IgG antibody 0.20 IU/ml, Toxoplasma IgM antibody 0.180 index,

Rubella IgG antibody 65.30 IU/ml,Rubella IgM antibody: 0.058 index

Cytomegalovirus IgG antibody 112.40 Au/mL,

Cytomegalovirus IgM antibody 0.261 Index

Herpes Simplex (1+2) IgG antibody 0.28

Herpes Simplex (1+2) IgM antibody 0.50 AiV

Can you please tell me why did this happen. Actually I am looking for a next pregnancy. Before that I want to be sure that this does not happen again. Please help me and suggest me what should I do as precaution for next pregnancy

37 week doctor's check up

hi ladies. went to a late dr.'s appointment. i'm only about 60% effaced (she first said 80%) and NO dilation. well she said, so little she wouldn't even say it's 1cm. she also said (with no prompting from me) that by end of week 38 that if i don't deliver AND i have any dilation, that she would induce me??? i don't know why. i guess it could be she worries the baby will get too big for me to deliver vaginally???

but then, there's that increased risk of having an emergency c-section so i don't know what to do. do you ladies have any opinions or suggestions? thanks! oh and i'll post another baby bump pic soon!

I need some Advice on what YOU would do?

Ok as lots of you know Noah dropped @ 33weeks 3days, then again around 34weeks. At my 33week 6days (34week), appointment I was already 1CM dialated but no thinning out, so they had me come back in on Monday 34weeks 2days, and then I was still right at 1CM and starting to thin out. I had 2 different doctors, one is a new doctor I had on Friday who I have been seeing the past 5 visits, and Mondays was my doctor. First doctor pulled me from work and all activity basically, and Monday my doctor said go doing what you would normally do, if labor is going to come its going to come. He also said if Noah is born now then he will be fine, if we catch it in time there are things that can be done. THE SHOT thing! I already knew this.

The more and more I think about it the more and more I wonder if I should go ahead and do the shot to help mature his lungs JUST INCASE HE COMES EARLY?

I keep getting more and more lower back pain, and more and more cramping here and there. Last night while trying to fall asleep after my bath, I started to get some lower back pain and some cramping that would come and go, but it was minor, so im not sure if it was normal or not.

Also my pelvic bone area, I feel like I have been excersising for HOURS and its sooo sore when I get up at times. I know its probably his head resting down there, but its just weird. It doesnt always happen but more and more its been happening.

Anyways should I call and request this shot, or not? I know how active I will be this weekend, with standing and sitting. My brothers wedding is this weekend and lots of family is here. I will be 35weeks on Saturday, but I would feel so much more comfortable if I got this shot today and tomorrow, and if something were to happen over the weekend I did everything that I could.

What do yall think?

Thanks soo much, I just want my little Noah to be healthy :)

34 week and 5 Day check up!! C section scheduled..YEAH!!!

Well today went great. fluid and babies are looking great. I am still 1 cm and 50 % effaced. The Doctor said that she is going to schedule the c section tentatively for October 10 which is 37 weeks. The nurse wil call the hospital today to make sure that day is avaible if not then it will most likely be the early part of the following week which will be 37 weeks and like 3 days. She said that if the baby has turned that I can choose an induction. They will do an U/s before the c sections. So within the next two weeks and a couple of days the babies will be here..Today my stomach was measuring 42 weeks and i feel like it is measuring 65...lol..But we will do growth again next week just a week before they are born..So i am excited nervous and anxious all in one..

Anyone doing IUI this week?

I had my first follie check today for this cycle. 17mm on the left. I'm right on track for where I've been for the last two cycles with Clomid+IUI.

So, I have another follie check on Wednesday. If I do not LH surge on Wednesday, then I'll take Ovidrel that night for an insemination on Friday morning.

Anyone else gonna have and IUI this week?

Why have a 20 week ultrasound?

There is no situation in which I would terminate. I don't want to know the baby's gender before he/she is born. I had an ultrasound between 7 and 8 weeks to verify my due date. I will deliver in a university hospital so there will be plenty of specialists available should the baby need emergency care right after birth.

So is there any reason for me to have a 20 week ultrasound?

A couple of people I have talked with thought there were some problems that could be diagnosed by ultrasound and treated in utero, but no one knew anything specific.

Docs, do you know anything about that?

Thanks!

30week Appointment

Everything went well, the doctor said that the pain im having is more then likely round ligament which is what i thought, and she said it should lighten up here very soon since its been lasting for 2 weeks now. She said if it doesnt stop in the next week or 2 then to def. let them know. Im ready for it to go away since just doing simple and basic things brings it on and it hurts soo badly.

Im measuring right on, actually she did mention I was 29weeks (since Im 29weeks 6days today), so im wondering if I was measuring 29weeks, and not 30weeks...hmmm, anyways its all good.

I didnt gain any weight from my last appointment 2weeks 4days ago, so im only up 12 pounds total so far.

His heartrate was 140 and it took her a good 2-3 minutes to find it, scared the crap out of me at first.

I think thats it, so far soo good, blood preasure was great as always and yeah thats it :)

8 dpo and AF arrived???

Hello. I am 8 dpo and AF arrived today in full force with bad cramping. I know when I ovulated for sure because I got a positive OPK on digital OPK and had ovulation cramping same day. I am only 8dpo today and AF arrived. I had HSG done on CD 8 this month could this be why AF is a week early? Any other reasons? So dissapointed :( Thanks!
