I'm finally preggers

I couldn't be happier. The day I never thought would come finally has and its still unbelievable to me. It took us a little over 2yrs to get here. I was originally diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Not until I had a laparoscopy this past Jan. did I learn the reason for my infertility. They found stage 3 endometriosis and removed it. The first cycle of injectables after my surgery I fell pregnant! I'm 4wks pregnant today.

IUI #4, the journey continues...

I have been ttc for 23 cycles with no luck. I am diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility. My dh is fine, good counts and such. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism last february but it has been corrected and shouldn't be part of the problem, but I suspect that it still is...

My treatments...6 months of clomid, 2 with IUI

1 month- follistim, orvidrel and IUI- BFN

1 month break due to cysts

and currently I am 1 day past my second injectable cycle with back to back IUIs...

I have had so many months of disappointment that I am not sure how much more I can take. The 2 ww seem to get longer and longer and the disappointment greater each time. Part of me wants to take a break, but then I feel guilty to do so because I am going to be 37 and time is not on my side. So, I keep pushing forward and hope that my BFP is just a couple of weeks away...

Trying to Get Pregnant!!

Hello ladies,

I have been married to the same man for almist 10 years (4 months shy of 10 years). I have a child from a prior engagement, but have not been able to concieve one with my husband.

We have undergone a number of exams, from sperm count to checking my tubes with a painful red dye to determine if they were not clogged up. All tests have come back normal or good!! we have under gone two IUI's and have take clomid in differnt doseages for awhile. We have just about given up. We have given up. We have adopted 3 beautiful children in which we love evry much and one biological child of mine makes it 4 children, but not matter how many we are in the family, my husband and I would very much want a biological child of our own. We can not afford IVF, and doctor's will not work on payment plans, I will be 37 this year and I was hoping to conceive befor my 40th birthday.... Can any one provide any tips or ideas as to what I can do? At this point I am willing to try anything, inspite the fact that everything else has failed.. Desprerately hoping for a miracle!! :(

When do you need to have a Laparoscopy done?

Please Doctors answer this for me? Or anyone who went through a similar experience.

I am 28 years old, have been trying actively to get pregnant for 1.5 years.. and still nothing.

I went to many doctors.. had many ultra sounds and evrything looks great.

I have had my hormones checked, and they are fine.

Had HSG done and my tubes are clear.

My period is on time everything month to the extent that I always get it on a sunday.. every 28 days! I ovulate evry month.

I get really bad period pains on the 2nd and part of the third day.. I take voltaren suppositories to kill the pain, and it works.I also have blood clots during period.. not very big.

I don't have any pain during intercourse or any other time.

Does this mean that I could have endo that could be stopping me from getting pregnant? Does this mean that I need laproscopy? I really want to avoid that!

PS: my husband had a semen test done last year and had very good results, but had one this year and found out he had zero % active sperm.. but he had moderately active ones. He's taking vitamins now.

what should be the next step to do? I took clomid for 2 cycles but nothing.

secondary infertility

Hi I am being treated for unexplained secondary infertility and was wondering if all tests show clear to make it unexplained. and have had puregon and iui completed with 4 follicles and high sperm count.Does this look like a good cycle and what would be the chance on a multiple birth?

My Journey....

I'm 23 years old and my hubby is 24. We have a 2 1/2 year old little boy which took us about a year on and off of trying to get prego with him, he was a high risk baby because he had a two vessel cord and i was induced with him at 36 weeks, he came out healthy and weighted 5lb 2oz, and is completly healthy little boy now! and we have been trying for #2 since july '07. I got pregnant in july '08 found out in september but then had a mc sept. 17, switched doctors and new one put me on clomid 50mg Nov, and nothing so Dec i did 100mg clomid and now in the waiting process. We both are healthy and young and know it will happen for us when the time is right! We hope this time we will get prego with twins so we dont have to go through this again, i have some twins in my family, but more likely i would just get twins cause the clomid...fingures crossed...but one will be just as nice!

IUI and IVF success rates with unexplained infertility

Hello,

I just read on another post that "unexplained infertility" couples have 6% chance. Is it 6% chance without IUI or meds? I didn't realize it was so low!!!!

DH and I are trying to decided the next step now after 3 IUIs, IVF and clear Lap/ hysteroscopy. All other tests were clear too and DH is good. I know that IVF gives the highest results but how much higher (age 37)? Insurance doesn't help with anymore cycles of anything. We were thinking of doing IUI again with either clomid and follistim or just follistim.

3rd iui, low sperm count after washing, follicle were 16 mm

I jsut finished my 3rd iui, now am on the 2ww. The RE said my husbands sperm was a 2 for motility and there were only 4.5 million. Usually those nubers were better. Also, i had several follicles. But,t eh two dominant ones were only 16 mm when i took my ovidril. Does that seem small? Do i have any chance? and, does it seem like my doctor is being conservative and not letting my follicles get big enough to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies? should i move to IVF, we have unexplained infertility.

What could possibly be wrong with me?

Hubby and I have been trying to conceive for exactly 2 yrs this month.

Jan this year we approached a RE and we got our tests done.

HSG was fine. Hubby's semen analysis was normal. Day 3 test which indicates ovarian reserve was fine.

I however was diagnosed with hypothyroid and am still under medication and it is still not under control.

My RE checked if I ovulate by conducting blood tests before and after I tested positive on my OPK and confirmed that I do ovulate.

2 months back my doc checked my cervical fluid for candida and it did come out positive. She gave me a vaginal cream for the same.

I'm due for my periods tomorrow and I know that it didnt happen for me this cycle.

Next cycle, am planning to get an IUI done.

Ok...now my question is, if almost everyone of my tests seemed to look ok...why am I not conceiving?

And, is IUI gonna help me at all?
