Wishing for One

Hi me and my husband have been married for 6 years and ttc for 5. I never wanted to go to a specialist for some reason I wanted it to happen naturally. Well Mar 07 we got a BFP! and at 5 weeks we MC. So I put everything on hold for a while. I finally grew impatient and went to a specialist. He is wonderful. He did blood work and I had an HSG....Which hum wasnt that bad? Anyways he prescibed me Clomid 50 mg cd 3-7 and I just finished my last pill on Nov 14. I am very nervous and really have no one else to talk to because I am so wrapped up in ttc. So I figured I would try this

Depression

Is it normal to feel depressed when one is TTC , lately I have been feeling really depressed, DH and I both lost our jobs, so I am feeling real guilty about even TTC, I feel like if you can't buy the medication why should you be trying, anyway, DH told me that shouldn't stop us because he's sure he'll be working in the next months, we don't have to buy anything for a new baby now, since we already have all the stuff from the baby we was expecting but lost last year, I am at the point where I have been harboring suicidal thoughts, sometimes I wonder what it will be like to Hang myself, no 1 know what I am going through, I have never told my DH about my thoughts, I feel guilty every time he talk about him wanting us to have a child, everyone around us who got married around the same time,or after have 1 or more kids, so what I will like to know. Is it normal to feel this way in circumstances like this?

Uping dose of clomid.?

Me and my partner have been trying for 23+months now we had all the tests and we know its was mianly due to me not ovulating that we were unable to get pregnant, We were offered 6months of clomid... I am currently on 50mg's of clomid been on it for 3 months now and i have ovulate but not got pregnant they have given me 30 tablets to last me the next three months ??? what would be benefits of going up to 100mg be? and is it work trying? the plan was 100mgs for cycles 4-5 and then cycle 6 would be 150mgs? is this worth trying or could it cause more problems than solve?

after the 6months if this doesn't work what are our options other than IUI and IVF?

TTC Baby #2 after losing a baby to Potters Syndrome

I was wondering if anyone has had a child after losing one to Potters syndrome. I recently gave birth to my first child, a boy, after he was diagnosed with Potters Syndrome. It is when the kidneys fail to form and as of now there is no chance of survival once born. We delivered him at 21 weeks and he lived for 10 minutes. We know we have to grieve his death, but we also want to try again. We are fearful that this may happen again even though we have less than a 1% chance.

Any insights would be helpful!

Can i change the days i take the Progesterone pill?

I need to know if taking the prgesterone pill my dr has put me on to "regulate my cycles' (which really arent that irregular, im just not ovulating!!) for less days is OK?

This cycle is a wasted cycle in my eyes - the follicle was very small and my lining was thin, so very little chance of pregnancy. Ive started the progesterone today (cycle day 16, and have been told to take it for 10 days. But i REALLY want to start this next cycle quickly, so is it ok if i take it for less days? What would be a reasonable amount? And how long after stopping taking the pills should i expect my period to come??

Sorry for all the Qs, but you know, when you're TTC, its just one of those things i cant be patient with! S,is there any harm in making this cycle shorter by a few days?

How soon after giving birth is safe to TTC again?

Drs.

I gave birth to my son 12 weeks ago tomorrow. He was conceived much to my RE shock via IUI using injectibles. I have low antral follicles and am now 36. When we first conceived my RE said if you want anymore children I would recommend that you don't wait more than 6 months to TTC with help due to my issues. My DH and I would really like another baby and are not sure what to do. We thought maybe trying "naturally" for a few months and then if unsuccessful then we may move onto IVF or just stop. We have not "actively" tried yet.

My question is- is my RE right that we should not wait?

Should we try naturally?

Should we skip natural and go straight to IUI with injections again?

Than you Drs. for your time.

Ladies your thoughts?

Here we go again... another 2ww - symptoms??

Hey everyone.... so this is my 6 month ttc #1 after mc (twins) in may and (singleton) july.

The past few months have been a bit crazy cos my cycles went a bit haywire, going from 28 days to 45 then 53.

Im hoping that this month is normal and I'm pretty sure I o'd around cd13 or 14 cos I hade some light brown spotting and then one wipe of bright pink on the 14th. I'm now on cd 20.

We bd on cd 10, 13, 15 & 17 (just incase hehe)

So far I've had funny pain (more uncomfort than pain) in my lower tummy just above my pelvic bone. I've had it on both sides and its kinda been constant for the past few days.

The only other thing has been that I felt really sickly yesterday and today and have been a bit off my food.

I keep checking my bbs to see if they are sore but nothing as yet.

I'm really hoping this is my month!!!!

WHat do you guys think???

Will progesterone help me get pregnant?

My OB has prescribed progesterone (Duphaston - dydrogesterone - sp?) for me to take 10mg daily after the 15th day of my cycle (or whenever i ovulate). Will this help me in getting pregnant, or is it to help regulate my cycles? I had 9 days of period bleeding this cycle (am now cycle day 12), so is this why she prescribed the progesterone?

is implantation bleeding with twins any different from a single pregnancy?

Today I'm 12 dpo I had counted incorrectly before. And I had cramping that only lasted like TWO hours. Then came blood not enough to cover a pad it only left 2 dots and I had it on for about 4 hours until I used the bathroom again. I wiped and there was blood with clear cervical mucus. It took like 2 to 3 wipes for all of it to not be visible anymore. I know its not my period because I usually have BAD cramps for the 1st two days. Can it be twins Or something else

ttc after miscarraige

Hi, I had 2 miscarraiges, one in end of March 09 and one in Mid Oct 09. Both i were 6 weeks pregnant. the Dr. seems not worried, but they'll do some test for me by begining of Dec. one Dr. told me to wait 3 months and the other told me 6 months, and honestly I don't feel i want to wait, i wish i get pregnant soon and have a healthy one. So how long do you advise i should wait?

PS. didn't get my first period yet.

Thanks alot

Hello Ladies,

I found this site from a friend in the CafeMom group for Ectopic Pregnancies. I am sooo happy I found it. It's nice to be able to read everyone's stories and know that I am not alone in TTC. Here's my story.

I met my husband in January 2006, and we got married July 21st 2006. We work quickly! :) By September 22nd 2006 I had gotten a positive sign pregnancy test! We were pregnant with our son Julius who is now 2 1/2. That pregnancy went good aside from high b/p. He was a VERY healthy 8lb 12oz baby boy. I decided to get the Mirena IUD placed 6 weeks after delivery and we kept it in from June 07 to Sep. 08. when we decided we wanted another baby. We tried for months until I found out I was pregnant again on 07/08/09. We were ecstatic. We had been trying for almost a year to get pregnant with this baby and my periods had been messed up ever I had the IUD removed.

On Aug. 6th 2009 I went in for my standard u/s at 12 weeks and found out I was carrying an ectopic pregnancy. I was rushed into surgery and the doctors ended up taking my left fallopian tube because it was damaged from being on the verge of bursting. It was absolutely devastating and it still has been very hard to get over a few months later. I miss that baby so much.

Now I am here I have had 2 periods pretty regularly and we are hoping to begin TTC around the beginning of 2010. I am very nervous, but at the same time I don't think it'll take much more time for me to feel really ready to continue our journey. I think my son would make an amazing big brother. He loves other kids and babies.

Thanks for reading ladies. I look forward to making lots of friends through this site and hope to read lots of success stories from everyone. Having a baby is absolutely wonderful. I would give anything to go through pregnancy again. Thanks for reading! <3

Could a miscarriage cause conception problems?

Hi,

I am 24 years old, and have a 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son. I fell pregnant in May unexpectedly (i am not a fan of oral BCP as they make me whacky), but went on to miscarry - the cause was a subchorionic bleed. I was 7w4 days pregnant. I had a D&C on the 2nd June (day after i had the miscarriage) as there was still tissue and my cervix had closed - i just wanted it over with.

I went home and bled for 14 days, quite heavily, stopped for 10 days, then bled again for another 9 days. I assumed this was my period, but later learned it was most probably still miscarriage bleeding.

Since then i have had 4 cycles, slowly getting shorter in length (before that pregnancy my normal periods were 35 days long, they are now 29). I have much shorter bleeding time (5 days now compared to 8 before), very bad PMS symptoms a few days before my period and bad cramps.

The last cycle, i am sure of when i ovulated and dh and I had intercourse the 2 days before O. I did not conceive though.

Could there be a problem? With my last children, i conceived within 2 cycles - but have now been having unprotected intercourse for 5 months with no pregnancy.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Safiyah

No bleeding and sex after a D&C?

I found out I was pregnant 9-25-09, but was bleeding since 9-21-09. I had my first Prenatal appointment on 9-29-09 and had a transvaginal ultrasound. I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant (LMP:August 18), but ultrasound was showing baby at 8 weeks and 4 days 2.04cm. So my NP said I probably got pregnant around August 12th. She couldn't find a heartbeat, but wanted me to return in 1 week for another ultrasound. The next week...still no heartbeat and the baby was at 8 weeks 1 day. She gave me Cytotec to take 3 tablets 3 times. I returned to her for another follow up ultrasound on 10-22-09 to show the pills didn't do anything!! And baby still showing 8 weeks 1 day. So she said we should do a D&C. I would be awake and have them suction instead of scrape. I took Vicodin, Serax, a shot of toradol, and a shot of anesthetic twice into my cervix. I had the D&C procedure done Monday 10-26-09. Immediatly after the procedure all the bleeding stopped. (i was bleeding for 5 weeks prior to the D&C) So today is 2 days after the D&C and still no bleeding...not even a spot.

NP told me I could resume sex after all bleeding stopped. But if I never was bleeding when can I start?

And when can we start trying to conceive?

My follow up appt. isnt for 4 weeks. I sent a email to my NP. I probably won't hear back until tomorrow. Would like some advice before tho.

Thanks.
