I went to the Dr and Dec dx with PCOS and they didn't see anything wrong in the u/s they performed or the blood work everything was good. He gave me # to a specialist I've start taken folic acid pills and Geritol tonic before I make a appt in hopes it will work before I have to spend the big bucks AGAIN because the meds didn't work trying to get AF to come and the last time af came was aug 09 do you think this will work?

Dee & Rich are TTC their first family member......

UPDATE:~

20/Jan/2010

Appointment confirmed with Gynecologist for Feb 4th @ 9am. And so I find myself in yet another 2ww. Joy!! I'll fill you in when I have more news :)

UPDATE:~

18/Jan/2010

My Dr. suspects that I have blocked tubes and has referred me to a gynecologist and fertility clinic. He suspects that a laproscopy will be required and we'll go from there.

DH and I weren't overjoyed with this news as you can imagine but at least we're moving on now.

I've contacted 3 hospitals, 2 public and 1 private, I am waiting for them to call me with their earliest appointments. And the journey continues..... :(

15/Jan/2010

And so the story goes...... DH and I are TTC#1.

We were then living in Australia, I was on BC for 10 years and came off it in November 2008. By February 2009 there was still no sign of AF and HPT's were showing BFN's. I went and had every test under the sun done. Everything came back "Normal". I use that term loosley as there is nothing normal about not having a cycle. The doctor told me to wait it out and if AF hadn't arrived in another 4 months go back to her. By the time 4 months had come around we had moved back to Ireland.

I went to a doctor over here, bringing my test results and explaining everything. She said sometimes it just takes a while for your body to get back into sync and that really, I could ovulate at anytime. She recommended I do OPK's to try and pin point my 'O' time. So from May till August I kept the OPK business ticking over. Until one day a line appeared, it was so unexpected that I actually thought the test was broken so did another one, same thing. RESULT!! The problem was it was 2 and a half weeks before our wedding! Well! AF arrives 3 days before our wedding in August 2009 (relief in one sense but timing was a bummer!)

I had regular cycles 3 times since (all 32 days apart) but then the next AF was 6 days late, I was so excited and tested but BFN :( Tested again BFN and then AF arrived :(

We're still trying though. It's so hard to monitor your 'O' day when AF is messing you around. I'm currently on day 40 of this cycle and 22dpo with 4 BFN's and no AF. DH and I have an appointment with the Dr. this evening and will keep you all posted. Thank you for taking the time to read my story :)

CK's Journey

I'm updating my journey because I feel ready to.

As most of you know already, I am 28 years old, recently married to DH 24. We TTC naturally (used OPK's) for 3 months and got pregnant this November. I was really excited & nervous. I work in a lab at a hospital, so I was able to test my pee & blood hCG which I did on a weekly basis. At 8 weeks, my hCG level suddenly stopped raising like it should. 5 days earlier it had been about 20,000 and then it was 23,000. I instantly knew something was wrong.

That morning when I got off work I called around to all the ultrasound places in town trying to get an appt to see the baby & the heartbeat. I was having insurance complications at the time so I hadn't had my first doctor's visit.

Eventually I went to the doctor's office and walked in, handed the nurse my lab results and she scheduled me for an transvaginal u/s. The baby measured only 6 weeks 1 day & there was no fetal heartbeat. This was 3 days before Christmas. And I was scheduled to fly home (Ohio) 4 days later.

The nurse said since it was a "missed miscarriage" that I should probably have a D&C. Plus, I couldn't bear the thought of miscarrying while I was 900 miles away from my home & staying with my family for Christmas.

I had the surgery 2 days before Christmas, with no complications. In fact, that time is rather blurry because of the emotional pain and disbelief I was going through.

Today I feel good, hopeful. I remembered back to when I was in college to an elective course I had while doing my clnicals. I remembered them running a thrombosis panel (clotting) on my blood and them saying a couple things were abnormal, but it wasn't major. But that I MAY have problems carrying a baby when the time came. I believe God really spoke to me and made me remember that from over 5 years ago as a sign to help to understand why we lost the baby. The mutations were MTHFR 1298 and PAI-1.

My doctor appt is Thursday 1-7, and I plan to bring up this information then. I'd rather be aggresive than wait around to see if I miscarry a bunch more times, because I don't know if I could withstand it.

This site has helped me so much & the ladies I've talked with on here, and I hope it can continue.
