Doxycycline after HSG test

Doctor,

I have been taking Doxycycline since the HSG test. I have only 1 tablet left on the course, but I just wanted to be reassured that it is ok. A day after the test was my ovulation day, so we ttc. On the packaging, it says not to take it while ttc. But I also was told to finish the course to not get the infection back.

Will I be ok?

Test Result

Hi Dr Q

I had an IUI 14 days ago with injectibles. I believed 100% I was pregnant as I had all the symptoms I had with my last pregnancy. I decided to take a home pregnancy test as my doc is not testing me until Thursday - the test was negative. Could I still be pregnant? Until I took that test - I was absolutely certain, now I am doubting myself.

Ovulation testing

I stoped taking Clomid on 10/1, I started checking my Ovulations on 10/2. Its 10/8 and I still have not ovulated yet. its been 14 days since I started my period and I have not ovulated yet. Does it normally take it this long? I have ran out of my stix's in my ovulation kit, it says on the box that you should ovulate before you run out of stix's and I havent. What should I do???

cramps post ivf and positive pregnancy test

I had a 3 day embryo transfer on 9/14 and a positive pregnancy test on 9/26 (92) and 9/29 (302). I have been having cramping ever since the transfer -- it's intermittent and can be on one side or the other or in the middle. I have also been having low back aches. All of this is the same as my period cramps. I also was vomiting by now when I was pregnant before. Should I be worried about an ectopic or miscarriage or is this in the realm of normal? I do not have an ultrasound until next week -- should i call my doctor and do it sooner?

After Hsg test...

I had my first hsg test done this morning at 9am. And I felt cramps during the procedure, but was fine for about 2 hours afterwards. Then I started to get pain on my stomach(like period pain) and fever.

So.. After about 6 hours, doctor prescribed me antibiotics.

After 12 hours (now), I took paracetamol because of more pain. Crossing my fingers that nothing too serious is happening to me. I was warned of 3 negative symptoms before the test : 1. Smelly discharge 2. infection 3. too much bleeding. I guess mine is the second one..

Has anyone experienced fever after hsg test like me?

beta

Dear Dr,

I have done my IUI on 14CD, just done my beta test on my 15dpo and the results is 9. The Dr said is a bit low and asked to do another beta test again on 22dpo. Although the number is low, am I still consider pregnant? on 15dpo night and 16dpo, I have some spotting, is it mean that implantation occurred or the symptom of my AF? I am very confuse as some of the post mentioned it might be implantation, some said it might be AF. Please advise

Should I have a blood test done?

My cycle is 38 days long and I have it regularly due to metformin. I have also been on clomid all year. I started my period on 8/12 and I think I may have ovulated in Aug., but I had 5 positive OPKs. On Sept 19, day 39 I had my period with cramping and sore breasts for at least a week prior to that. There was red blood and clots and the period lasted about 4 days. For the past week I have been extremely nauseous for about three hours during the middle of the day. I can't eat, smell food or even think about it without feeling the need to vomit. Now today I have been cramping, feels exactly like period cramping. I took 150mg clomid days 5-9, finishing on Saturday. I had a negative HPT on Friday. Is there a chance I still could be pregnant or could it be something else? I know it's not me "wishing" the symptoms on myself, I have just never had this situation before. Thanks for your thoughts.

Desperately trying to conceive HELP!!

Hi Ladies, I have a silly question to ask, how accurate is a pregnancy test done at home? Will all pregnancy tests show a pos or neg every time on your due date? I’m told that some women don’t produce enough hormone for sometime, is this true? And how many days / weeks will it take for some women to produce enough hormone for a home pregnancy test to pic up?

If it takes a long time to produce the pregnancy hormone, does this mean that its not going to be a successful pregnancy?
