Morphology question

Dr's have you ever had a patient who had low morphology but great counts and motility one month and a few months later, the morphology be normal? I am wondering what kind of luck I have. My hubby has to do another S/A. 5 months ago his morph was 1% but counts and motility were great. What are the chances that it could have been a fluke or a one time thing?

fertility supplement

So, will the fertlity supplement by fertility ties be used by men and women, the same pill. And, could it take the place of a prenatal...?

should i wait for it to be ready or buy one on the market? If i should buy one that is on the market, which? and will it take a prenatals place?

also, any thoughts on preseed?

Thanks

trying to conceive

I am having normal periods now after the depo shot. i was on it for 9 months and now off for 7 months. the shot never really affected my cycle though it did mess with my hormones which is the reason i stopped. since i am regular with my cycle now and we've been trying to get pregnant but its not working what would be the best way to try to get pregnant after the depo? is there anyway to check to see if its still in my system?

Follistim and supplements?

I am going to start Follistim next cycle. I have also read about taking a supplement to help you mature an egg - soy isoflavins. Supposedly, it could work in a way similar to clomid. I am wondering if I could do these together, or if that would be a bad idea. Thanks.

which supllement will best help?

I am on my second round of clomid, 100mg this month, I had to take a progesterone tablets for the first cycle for five days to induce a period! Then I got spotting and very light bleeding cycle two on my own

I am on cd14 so should be ovulating soon, but because my periods stopped or became irregular I am not sure when I am ovulating. I am going to have bloods done on cd21., my gynaecologist did not want to do follicular scans until next month, as he wants my periods to start again. I just want to get pregnant, i have a child of 18mths and wanted one straight after, but nothing has happened! so frustrating, my periods stoppedbecausee I lost alot of weight and though I have gained weight and am the same weight I conceived my first child, last month was the first period I have had.

I am taking evening primrose oil tablets, agnas castus at the moment, is their anything else I could take to help me conceive or even regulate my periods.

thin lining can anything be done to help?

During U/S today nurse told me that my lining was a little thin but I didn't ask for any numbers, silly me!! Then when I spoke to the dr. forgot to ask. I took clomid so I'm sure that was one of the reasons. Can anything be done to help with this, maybe thicken the lining? I am taking a baby asprin each day. THANKS!!

4th IUI, not so great

Friday's follicle study showed that my 3 follies from Wednesday at 13R, 13L, 15L had become 12R, 14L, 20L. So, effectively, just one follicle. I took my trigger at 11pm on Friday night and IUI was this morning at 11am.

IUI was not so great today. We had only 5 million sperm post-wash.

We're taking the next 2-3 months off from IUI's in order for hub to see a urologist who specializes in infertility. He's also going to start taking a fertility supplement. We're also going to ask about blood tests for various hormones. DH has ED as well and I can't help but wonder if his sub-par s/a results and the ED are linked.

We also got the results of his s/a from last week: Volume: 1.3ml, concentration: 38 M/mL, motility: 8%, mophology 28%, WBC: insignificant. This is new since we thought that white bloodcells were causing low motility. But we now know that what was suspected to be WBC's is actually immature/misshappen sperm.

We're also discussing the potential of using donor sperm, though we have not arrived at a decision.... hubby is initially opposed to it, but he seems to be opening up to the possibility.

Male Fertility Supplements

Today at the IUI, hub had only 5 million sperm post-wash. So, we're looking at male fertility supplements. We're taking the next 2 months off from doing IUI, so hopefully that'd give some time for a supplement to work. At his last analysis, he had 28% morphology and 8% motility.

If your hub has taken a supplement and seen improvment from it, could you please share?

Docs, can you give a suggestion about what we should look for in a supplement to help improve upon these statistics?

Omega 3 Supplements-ok for DH before SA or after?

Dr's: my DH will begin taking an Omega3 fish oil supplement to aid in lowering his triglicerides. I asked the nurse at my Dr's office today if there was any reason he should not take it yet & she sd I may need to check to see if the uroligist will want him to wait till after his SA. Any reason that you know if that this would effect his SA?

I read somewhere that DHA supplements help the baby's neural development. Do I need to take this in addition to prenatal vitamins? Also, I got a regular drug store brand for my prenatals. Should I get any other brand? What would you recommend?

Should I take progesterone supplements

I always start spotting at 12DPO and AF comes at 13DPO. Isn't that kinda short for a luteal phase?
fertility supplements

Doctor u mentioned about fertility supplements. Long back I also heard that fertilityties is developing its own product. Could you plz specify any fertility supplements. I truly beleive in food alterations can be a way to successful IVF. I heard Asians do not have such high success rate in IVF when compared to westeners. Is it true? If so does it have something to do with their food habits? I know Asians take a lot of carbohydrate i their diet. Does it have something to do with IVF success???

Folic Acid

I am taking a prenatal vitamin. My doctor (at the fertility center) just told me to take something OTC. I think what I am taking is One A Day Women's Prenatal Vitamin. The package also included a bottle of DHA Gelcap as well. She said that these are fine. The prenatal has 800 mcg of folic acid.

When I talked to my regular OB about the pregnancy, all he said was "make sure you take your folic acid." Is 800 mcg of Folic Acid enough, or should I be taking a separate folic acid in addition to the regular prenatal vitamin?
