Flutters Wedding Pics/Story

As so many of you know the 23rd of May 2009 was not just any normal Saturday for me. It was the day I married my true love, my best friend; it was the day I went from being "Miss" to "Mrs". It was the day I married the best husband I could of ever hoped for - Shane.

From the very start of our relationship we did things differently (we met of the internet) and our wedding was to be no exception. As with any wedding it had its far share of mishaps right at the last minute, like:

* My dress being lost by the dress maker - it was found but only after many tears and shane and I going in to demand she find it and standing in the shop till she did

* My cake order going missing - once again found but only after I stood in the shop and spoke my mind

* Cake decorations that I had specially made where broken a wk out frm the wedding and needed to be remade and flown frm interstate - they arrived the late the day before the wedding

* One of my bridesmaids possibly having swine flu - she was cleared to fly and to come to the wedding with it jst being a cold/flu

* CD's going missing - replacement ones being made by whoeva got a spare second to do them

* Guests getting sick and pulling out

* etc etc etc

But the thing that had me most concerned was that there had been a whole wk of wet weather and the chances of rain where 70% and our wedding was planned to be out doors by a lake. We tried contacting the pastor but it was unsuccessful, so we couldnt even relocate the wedding to some place indoors. All we could do was pray that some how God would hear all our prayers and let the weather clear up for our special day.

The morning of the wedding I woke up next to my husband to be with the sun streaming in thru our window on to our faces. Somehow God had managed to erase the grey clouds and replace it with blue sky.

We spent the morning running around picking up flowers, helium tanks and seeting up the hall for the reception etc

At 1pm Shanes brother arrived to take him to the lake to set up there and to meet the pastor and guests. Thats right about whn My bridesmaids and I went into over drive to get dressed and ready.

Instead of being fussed over and pampered I spent my time doing other ppls hair and makeup and then was left to do my own. One of my bridesmaids was going to help with my hair and she set up the curling iron to help me put curls into my hair. But when we went to pick it up to use it some one had turned it off so we ended up getting every person in the house into my room to twist hair around their fingers and spray with hair spray to get at least a lose wave through my hair. Never would of guessed that 7 adults (including myself) and 3 kids would fit all our hands on my head with fingers covered in twisted hair, I think Im also responsible for the ozone layer getting another hole in it from all the hair spray we used. Oh I should also mention in this time shane continuelly kept ringing me worried about 100 little things so that delayed me that little bit more

I ended up getting to the lake 40mins late and along with my arrival the rain also came. So as I walked towards the man of my dreams I got soaked. By the rtime I got to him I had a fit od the giggles coz I jst couldnt believe my biggest fear was coming true.

But it didnt end there with disastors for the service.

*My hair had been curled into my eyes so I kept blicking coz I couldnt see

* My mum hit me in the head half way thru the service with our umbrella

* Some random lite our memorial candle for our babies which we where ment to lite together

* I fogot my vows, which I knew by heart, coz all I could thing of was how the rain was running down my back between my legs and I felt like I was wetting myself lol

* The pastor kept joining our hands together around the wrong way

*Instead of exchanging rings we only exchanged my ring coz the pastor forgot about shanes

*Oh and the pastor forgot our Kiss, it wasnt till he said to give my mum a kiss to say thanx that he relised and lifted my veil and said "well you better kiss him"

Our reception had its own bunch of mishaps as well with our memorial bears being used as footballs by our flowergirl and pageboy. That was my breaking point where I stood on a hill in my new husbands arms and morend for our angels babies wishing they had been there to celebrate mummy and daddys special day.

But even with all that went wrong, none of that means anything to me. What means the most to me and the thing I always remeber is that our family and friends stood in the pouring rain to witness shane and I commit our lives to one another and to vow to forever love one another regardless of what life has in stall for us. That was the day I became ONE with the man I love and adore that was the day I became the happiest girl on earth because I was FINALLY married to my Mr Perfect.

I will forever treasure that day and hold it so very close to my heart as it was a day like no other and I just know that God is going to bless our marriage in EVERY single way. Even with a baby that we have been trying so very hard for, for the past 3 yrs almost. We are both determined to stick by one anothers side and be each others strength when things get to hard. Our love is strong and we will put up the best fight of all to keep it EXACTLY that way =0)

Im in love with my Mr Perfect FOREVER and FOREVER has NO END!!!

Hope you like the pics

Sorry its so long

Jolenes COMPLETE Journey (TTC, Pregnancy and NOAH)

This is LOOONG! Read what you want or read the whole thing, its complete with slideshows from OPKS, HPTs, Belly Shots all the way till the end, Ultrasounds, and Pictures of Noah and some videos. Hope you enjoy and hope the whole thing posts, it was 11pages on word! Thanks again for reading, and hope this helps you in some way or another!

IN THE BEGINNING:

Im 23 and was TTC (Trying to Conceive) #1 from March 2007 - March 2008 found out I was pregnant on March 13th, 2008 (conceived on March 1st, 2008), after miscarrying on January 31st 2008 @ 5 weeks pregnant.

Found out I have PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome) August 20th, 2007, and found out I wasnt ovulating from March till I got put on Clomid in September, so about 6 months of trying and couldnt have gotten pregnant. I had to take Prometrium to start all this out and induce my period, because when I went back to the doctor after telling me to wait a few weeks and see what happens I was CD45 (CD=cycle day) and nothing, so they induced my period.

Round 1 Clomid @ 50mgs Taken CD4-8, cycle started September 22nd(CD1). Ovulated CD15, didnt get pregnant.

Round 2 Clomid @ 50mgs taken CD4-8, cycle started October 20th (CD1). Ovulated CD17, didnt get pregnant, but Progesterone level was awesome, 22.2 on 7DPO

Round 3 Clomid @ 50mgs taken CD4-8, cycle started November 19th, did NOT ovulate that cycle, and started Prometrium to induce my period December 14th CD26.

Round 4 Clomid @ 100mgs taken CD3-7, cycle started December 27th. Ovulated CD17, GOT PREGNANT, progesterone was 24.3 on 7DPO, lost the baby @ 5weeks pregnant on January 31st.

SYMPTOMS: Well when my BBT Temp shot up on 12DPO when usually it drops, I knew something was up, so I tested and got my very faint BFP. Went in for blood test and it came back negative. Kept testing each day and still got positives. Couldn’t go back in because we went on a ski trip, and the miscarriage happened the day we got back. Other then my temp spiking my Boobs were VERY sore, and usually after 10DPO or so they stop being sore, but they continued, which was another sign. I started to get a nasty cold as well, other then that was fine.

Round 5 Clomid @ 100mgs taken CD5-9, cycle started January 31st. Ovulated super late CD31, because of the miscarriage from Round 4, and starting Clomid immediately after the miscarriage probably is what caused my cycle to be messed up, as usually after a miscarriage the following cycle is usually irregular.

Progesterone level was 14.3 on 6DPO, which they had me start Prometrium as soon as I got my BFP and took until 12weeks pregnant.

Good thing I waited to ovulate, because I was going to start Prometrium to induce my period on CD30 if I didn’t get a positive OPK that day, and guess what 1 my doctor was out of the office so they wouldn’t prescribe it to me until that Monday, which would have been CD33, but I got a POSITIVE OPK that afternoon of CD30, I couldn’t believe it. I for sure ovulated on CD31 as I had all the MAJOR ovulation pains, and I had a bad cough, and everytime I coughed I felt like my ovaries were going to pop out.

We got Pregnant Round 5, finally with one that wants to hold on. We found out on Thursday March 13th that indeed I was pregnant. I was 12DPO that day we found out, and was still cautious as to what happened last time, but had a great feeling about the whole thing.

SYMPTOMS: Temp shot up on 12DPO like it did the last round, which up until that happened I thought this isn’t it, how could it be, then I woke up on 12DPO took my temp and it was a big rise, and I started shaking. Went and tested and faint but there BFP. I also started to get a cold AGAIN just like the last time, was sneezing a lot. Boobs were extremely sore, which they were of course after ovulation until about 6DPO, and then stopped, and picked back up again around 9DPO, but once they continued and got worse I had a feeling something might be up. I didn’t want to eat lots of chicken anymore, or steak just didn’t taste right to me. Other then that nothing really until I was 6-7weeks when I started to feel sick in the mornings or all day and getting headaches and all that, but that’s about it.

Here is the link to my BBT Chart from the months I got pregnant, since now they only allow you to put up 2 charts, used to be 5. The first one is the overlay from all the months after ovulation, then the other 2 are the rounds I got pregnant

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1c03f3

OPK and CHART SLIDESHOW

HPT SLIDESHOW

PREGNANCY DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS

Went to our 1st doctor appointment on April 3rd, 6weeks 5days pregnant. Got an ultrasound and baby is measuring as he/she should. We got to SEE the hearbeat via the ultrasound and it was 130bpm.

Feeling pretty good, just tired some more, and don’t want lots of foods that I wanted before, but im managing. I still cannot believe we are FINALLY here and that WE ARE PREGNANT! It seems so unbelievable to me after the journey we went through. This truly is an amazing miracle and blessing and gift from God, and there aren’t enough words to say how greatful and thankful I am to finally be pregnant and to finally be welcoming my first child into this world around November 22nd, so long as everything goes well, which I will take care of myself as best as possible. No caffeine for the most part ESPECIALLY in the first trimester, I will try and maintain a healthy eating habit, although right now I feel like all I can get down are cheese its and stuff like that, but once I start feeling better I will get a better eating habit. I will try not to eat lots of junk food, which I think im pretty good at pre pregnancy, we will see with pregnancy.

Thank you again for holding on like glue little one and I sure am proud of you and so is your daddy!

Went to our 2nd appointment on May 6th, 11weeks 3days pregnant. We got to hear the babys heartbeat for the first time via doppler and it was soo beautiful and I have it saved on my phone. It was 160bpm. Got my cultures, I think thats the name for it done, and blood pressure which was excellent, and weight checked which I actually lost a pound, I was SHOCKED. Cervix he said is perfect and he said my uterus is happy and is expanding as it should...haha.

Ready to hit the Second Trimester, everything has been going great though, just been tired, not wanting certain foods, sick off and on but other then that no complaints at all, im just super excited 

Went to our 3rd appointment on June 13th, 16weeks 6days pregnant, just had my downs syndrome blood testing done and weight check, and got to hear the heartbeat which now is 138BPM. I was measuring good and lost 3 pounds so far. Found out a week later that the downs syndrome blood test came back normal and that he is just fine, going by the test and especially going by my age 23.

Im feeling great, Second Trimester has been treating me well, been getting the last bit of stuff done around the house before the big move, and im very excited to find out what you are, my bet is BOY, thought girl the whole time, until that little heartbeat of yours dropped. You’re a boy aren’t you 

Also been feeling little pops and bubbles here and there, not sure if gas or if you, but I think its you. Im pretty confident it is.

Went to our 4th appointment on June 30th, 19weeks 2days pregnant, it was the BIG appointment for the measurements and finding out the sex. Well the second she put the probe on my belly, I said no need to tell me what it is I already know. She asked how do you know? I said because I can tell. She said well what is it then, I said im 100% sure that IT’S A BOY. She said you are 100% right, he is a boy. She said she would bet hers and the offices paycheck on this one…haha. He measured great, only thing she couldn’t get was his 4 chambers of his heart which I will get done at my next appointment on July 28th. I gained 3 pounds, so I gained back the 3 I lost, so they are counting up 3 from that point.

So happy to find out what you are, im so excited you are a boy, now daddy can have his little side kick to teach how to play golf, soccer, tennis, everything. You are going to be a blast and we are soo excited to meet you.

We are making the move today as well so im excited about that as well, hope everything goes great!

Feeling wonderful, and full of energy also had my first taste of caffeine in FOREVER @ this appointment, well actually 2 days before I was sipping on daddys Mountain dew, but other then that no caffeine for mommy, I will have a few here and there but I know how bad it is for you if I were to drink it all the time. Ready to get into the new house, and start your room, and just enjoy that before you get here. You make mommy so proud already and you aren’t even here. You have been moving a little more, nothing that we can feel from the outside yet, but I can feel it. Its so strange but yet so reassuring and I love it! Thank you!

Went to our 5th Appointment on July 28th, 23weeks 2days pregnant, we got to see Noah again, since they didnt get the 4 chambers of his heart the last time, and everything is looking great. He was very shy and didnt want to show his face to much, but got a few pictures. Still a boy for sure..haha, no denying that one, the goods are attached to the crouch area and everything looks where it needs to be, no questions asked. I gained 3 more pounds, now im at 6 pounds total.

Im feeling excellent, loving the new house still getting settled in couldn’t ask for anything more. So happy this has been a great pregnancy and that you are treating mommy so nicely.

I felt you move from the outside @ 20weeks exactly, and I think it was a fluke, as I was laying on the couch because I didn’t feel it much after that until 22weeks exactly when your daddy felt it as well. Amazing! We have been feeling it more and more, but nothing much you can see if you just look at the tummy, but I know those arm rolls and leg rolls are coming, and a great present for later in the third trimester…cant wait!

Went to our 6th Appointment on August 25th 27weeks 2days pregnant, just had to get my RH- shot, not so bad, Glucose screening passed with flying colors, weight which was up 12 pounds total this pregnancy, up 6 from last appointment but that’s also because I switched appointments from 9am, to 11:30am and I have had my breakfast bar and a 30oz thing of water, so im thinking if I went in at my old times (since now they will be @ 1130 everytime), that I would have only gained 3-4 pounds but either way im happy. Measuring great and so far so good. Heartbeat was 150 something, I think it was from the drink and stuff.

Feeling great minus the shot that I had to have and blood drawn and finger pricked and that daddy wasn’t there to support me since he was home sick, poor thing.

These past weeks have flown by I cant believe I start my every 2 weeks now. I have been feeling great and cant complain about a thing, also getting somewhat of my old eating habits back and wanting good stuff, like chicken again, but not all kinds, still working on it.

You are moving around a good bit, Joey and Jennifer felt you move for the first time as well around 27weeks. You are so much fun, cant wait until I see the whole tummy moving and stuff, that’s going to be crazy!

Went to our 7th appointment on September 12th, 29weeks 6days, starting to go every 2 weeks now. Basic appointment, blood pressure good, didn’t gain any weight from the 6th appointment to this appointment, so still only up 12 pounds. Measuring right at 29-30weeks. Heartbeat was 140 and kind of soft, it was near the pubic bone on the right side, and this means head down position from what I have read, but the softer it is means he is not facing the right direction, im sure he will turn around. Got my questions answered on the stretching pains on my left side, and occasionally on my right side. Its round ligament and its normal but it hurts so badly, she said if they don’t go away in another week or 2, I need to let them know, as they have been going on since August 28th (27weeks 5days).

Minus the Round Ligament pain I have been feeling good, cant really do much because of it, so been taking it easy these past 2 weeks. Oh well its nice to take it easy at times. Your room is getting complete and it has been painted thanks to Grandma, furniture has been set up for a while, and it looks great!

Also during this time I quit drinking caffeine basically all together as I know how bad it is for you, I haven’t had much at all, only weekends I would have maybe 1 or 2 cokes or mountain dews, but usually not during the weeks at all. Im going to limit myself to 1 or 2 here and there, but again that will only be on weekends, if I have any at all, and once I start breastfeed well I know I cant drink it then either or very little, but after that, ohhhh its on. I cant wait to have a REAL coffee! I love the decaff it tastes great to me, but I cant wait to have my real coffee to wake me up once you are off the boobs 

Gosh you are so active when it comes to moving around, you have started to make the whole tummy bounce around and jolt from side to side. Still haven’t seen any elbows go across or legs, but that’s not for a few more weeks, and im ok with that, but your dad on the other hand doesn’t want to see that and will probably FREAK out, so make sure you do it A LOT around him 

Went to our 8th appointment on September 26th, 31weeks 6days pregnant and it was pretty basic, basic enough I told Brannon a couple days before that he doesn’t need to come back until my 36week appointment and on. Just checked my weight, and I gained 4 pounds from last appointment, up to a total of 16pounds. Measuring exactly where I need to be. Blood pressure was perfect as well. Heartbeat was STRONG and LOUD at this appointment @ 150bpm, and its on the right side of my pubic bone, which means he is head down still, and from what I read at this stage the louder it is that means he is facing the right way for birth, but the softer it is, it means he might have turned his body and facing the wrong way for birth, but either way head down, and I feel confident that I will be able to delivery vaginally even if he is faced the wrong way, they can just turn him around.

The round ligament pains are basically gone, I will get them here and there, but not often at all, thank goodness I’m feeling great, and Noah is moving all over the place, I think he has been head down since like 28weeks, but he sure packs in a good kick A LOT. Rolls his legs all around the top of my belly. He is an active little boy, but he does sleep a lot as well. Your mural has been started as well (32weeks 1day, on a Sunday thanks to Jennifer). Its looking great and you are going to love it when its complete. It’s a very special gift for you to keep you hopefully entertained in the mornings giving mommy just a few more minutes of sleep 

Also wanted to add that im starting to see little outlines of what I think is your knee or something, but im not sure, as much as I feel like you are coming out of my skin and that I know if I look down im going to see you sticking out atleast 2 inches, I don’t see much at all, but I know that towards the end I will be able to tell that its your foot or knee. Im thinking maybe around 34-36weeks I will start seeing that. Sooo excited, but again daddy thinks its kinda creepy, not mommy 

Went to our 9th appointment on October 10th, 33weeks 6days, gained 18 pounds total so far, had to be checked for dilation because of you dropping @ 33weeks 3days. I was 1CM dilated and no thinning out. They put me on partial bedrest for the weekend until my appointment on Monday. Went to the doctor on Monday and im still @ 1CM but starting to thin out a bit. Dr. Salley didn’t seem to concerned and say go back to doing everything I was before, if Noah is going to come he is going to come, there is no stopping him.

So far as of 35weeks 5days, everything is going great. You keep getting lower and lower, and the kicks just get further and further down my belly. Thank goodness its not under my ribs anymore. Stretch marks are getting a little worse, still in the same spot under my belly button. Hurts to sleep on right side, and gets annoying always sleeping on left side. Im peeing every 1-2 hours. You are great at night to mommy, you sleep through the whole night it seems, hope you are like that when you come out. The nursery is getting complete as for the mural, everything else is done. We are do an organizing system in your closet because you have so many clothes! Wont be long Noah and you will be here, I cannot believe it! I love you soo much!!!!!!

Went to our 10th appointment on October 24th, 35weeks 6days, 1CM, thinning, Station -2. Weight gain total 18 pounds, everything is wonderful! Starting to get pelvic pain though that hurts, but its only at night.

Went to our 11th appointment on October 31st, 36weeks 6days, 1CM, thinning, Station -2, weight gain total 24 pounds, things are going great! Same pelvic pain at night, but not as bad.

Went to our 12th appointment on November 7th, 37weeks 6days, 1CM, thinning, station -2, weight gain total 26 pounds. Feeling well and things are going well. Pelvic pain is getting a lot better, just ready.

Went to our 13th appointment on November 14th, 38weeks 6days, 1CM, thinning, Station -2, weight gain total 25.5 pounds. Feeling well, just ready to meet you, been getting small contractions off and on.

Went to our 14th appointment on November 19th, 39weeks 4days, 2CM, 80% effaced, Station -1, induction date set for 11/25 (40w3d). So happy that we are so close to meeting you! I cant wait!!

Went to a sorta kinda 15th Appt on November 24th, 40weeks 2days. This will tie in with my labor and delivery story. I just want to state that I had the best pregnancy and cant wait to do it all over again in a few years.

First I will show you some pictures

MY PREGNANCY PICTURES SLIDESHOW

LABOR AND DELIVERY STORY & RECOVERY, NICU and GET TO GO HOME

It all started out that morning I woke up with worse contractions then the 2 weeks that I have been having them, they were sparatic but it was all leading up to this point, and me not having to be induced. Woke up that morning about 8am, with some contractions but took a shower and they went lightened up a bit, got ready and then called hubby to talk with him for a little while like always. I was on the phone with him for about 45 minutes, I think from like 9:15-10 or so. The whole time I was getting contractions about every 3-5minutes. I wasn’t writing them down, just looking at the clock everytime, and finally I go I might need to jot this down. So I did and they were about every 3-5 minutes like I thought, and about 45seconds long. I said Brannon I think its time, a few times, but the last time I said I cant wait any longer we need to go to the hospital I do think this is it. They weren’t painful by all means, and I have a very high pain tolerance, so when Brannon got here he didn’t think I was really in labor just having contractions. I got to the doctors office I think around 12:30, and the doctor that ended up deliverying Noah, Dr. Ridenhour (BEST Doc ever besides Dr. Salley), even said to me later in the day after they knew I was in labor, that she said when I walked in, there is no way she is in labor she is to calm. So anyways they put us in an exam room, we waited for about 10 or so minutes, and Brannon was on his cell on the internet and said a couple times there is just no way, and I said maybe not but something is going on, they are coming every 3-5minutes I know that, they sometimes took my breath away, but again it wasn’t painful. So Dr. Ridenhour came in and checked me. Remember @ my 14th week appt, I was finally 2CM after being 1CM for about 6weeks or so. So I got there and I was 3CM, so they put me up to a monitor to check my contractions and Noahs heartrate. To cool to watch that machine, because it would show when a contraction was coming and of course I could feel them but again it wasn’t to bad just took my breath away. So they came in to check about 20 minutes later and pulled off the paper took it back to Dr. Ridenhour and she wanted to watch me an hour longer, but said they are for sure every 3-5 minutes some were ranging straight on 2 minutes for a while. So they came back in and got the paper about 30 minutes later, she said bring her into an exam room I want to check her, if she is past 3CM I want to admit her to L&D, I get in there and im 4CM, so we got admitted, and thankfully we had our bags packed and with us. I was texting and calling people like crazy and shaking in disbelief that this is happening. Our parents had NO IDEA we were even thinking we were in labor as I didn’t want to call ANYONE on a false alarm, and surprisingly I didn’t I waited until I knew for sure. So we called them first and they were in SHOCK, we said we are in labor and they said how do you know for sure, we said well we just left the doctors office and are on our way to being admitted into our room, they were all so shocked but happy and on there way up there. I texted Lori to let her know and she texts me back she is excited and then not to long after says your never going to believe this but im being admitted and induced due to low amniotic fluid, im like HOLY CRAP. Lori and I were 5days apart in pregnancy, and we talked probably 20times a day in emails and some on the phone, we are super close, and now are children will only be a day apart.

We get checked into our room right away probably around 2 I believe it was, and I get into the clothes and get in the bed, they come in and ask about the epi and said sure go ahead and have him come in whenever he can, as I was getting worn out from contractions, I know I could have done it, but my uterus was contracting under my ribs and was pushing my ribs out and that’s what freaking hurt! So about 30minutes to an hour later the anesthesiologist comes in to give me my epi, and I was 5CM then, and they made sure everything was running right, and then after that was all cleared and working, they broke my water. Noah had gone to the bathroom so they let us know that the NICU team would be in there at delivery which I knew happened A LOT. They let everyone back in the room, and it was basically just a waiting game, and making me roll from side to side about every hour or so, then checking and I started to make no progress at all. Was on Pitocin from when they broke my water, and it wasn’t really helping. They had to up the thing 6times from the original time. FINALLY around 10pm they said I was 9CM and it would be very soon. Came back in around 945 and I was 10CM, and they said if you feel the urge to push please let us know we will be right around the corner, and let everyone back in the room. I think I had about 6 people in the room with us. My Parents, Brannons Parents, 2 of my best friends Amber and Michaela, and of course Brannon. Brannon knew that them telling me if I had the urge to push that I wouldn’t say a word with everyone in there, but he never said that to me until later…haha. Well I had the urge to push and I didn’t say a word, waited for the nurse and stuff to come in and tell everyone its time yall need to go to the waiting room. So then I said ok I have the urge to push. Pushing was a chore, but so much fun. The first push of every round after it I felt super dizzy and sick, then the second push when I got to take a deep breath felt so much better, and the third push I was ready to stop and relax. I would always shut my eyes after the 3rd push and relax until the next round. I pushed for about 30 minutes, and they had me at an incline so when Noah came out I could see him basically come RIGHT out. It was so beautiful and he was born at 11:20 on November 24th, 2008, 7 pounds 9 ounces, and 20 inches long. Was healthy as could be but I didn’t get to hold him for the first probably 20 minutes. Brannon stayed in there until they were done stitching me up, so basically 30 minutes or more, until he went out and told everyone oh yeah he was born 30-45 minutes ago, but he was great and was just there for me!

Brannon got McDonalds a little while after he was born and of course we didn’t get to eat until going on 2:30AM, when we finally got moved to our recovery room. I was going to do where Noah stayed with us 24/7 but at the last minute I changed my mind, and im kind of glad I did it was nice to get SOME rest, they did bring him in every 3 hours to feed though, but it was great. We kept him all day and sent him back in around 10pm at night. We were supposed to stay until Wednesday, we had him on a Monday. But the day we were going home his temp was fluctuating to much and they didn’t want to release him. My doctor said if they don’t release Noah, Jolene is not being released and I will sign off saying that she isn’t able to leave yet. So that was super great, my real doctor is just the best guy ever! Well we didn’t get to go home, and stayed another night. That night we decided we wanted Noah in there with us the whole night since we were supposed to be home and taking care of him on our own. At 4:30AM Thursday morning (Thanksgiving Day), the day we were supposed to go home again. He started having seizures in my arms while I was breastfeeding him. He finally got to feeding around 4:25 after an hour of fighting it, and then about 5 minutes into it he just stopped, and started having this twitch, it was so weird I just watched him wondering what in the heck is this, do I call the nurse or what. THANK GOD the Nursery nurse came in right as it started to check to make sure we woke up to feed and stuff, and I let her know that he was eating and just stopped and started to do this, and she looked at him said let me hold him, and put him in his rolling thing, and said I believe he is having a seizure I have to take him to the nursery asap. So off Noah went. Brannon was sleeping the whole time until I slammed my arm over to him and woke him up. He said whats wrong, where is Noah? I said he had a seizure and they took him, and he said WHAT, and I was just BAWLING after that. Then my nurse came in to do a routine check, she didn’t know this happened explained it to her, and they said if you need anything let us know, as the all of them knew I was fine and was supposed to be discharged we were just staying because of Noah. Well finally after about an hour the nursery nurse came in with Noah, and said he had about 3 more back in the nursery (Im crying now just thinking about that, and how scared we were). So she said you guys will have to say goodbye to him for now we have no choice but to admit him to the NICU, he will be in very good hands there, and he is going to be in room 11, heck if I knew what room 11 meant, all NICUs I have been to were like nurserys, not rooms, but our hospital is the first here to do a NICU where each child has there own room, super nice, and it really makes it easier since your not comparing other babies or hearing horrible things going wrong with other ones and stuff.

He got admitted to NICU at 6AM, and we didn’t know anything until 7:15AM, as they told us to call then since they were switching shifts and to let the doctors and nurses get up to date with each other, which I totally understood. Finally they said just come on up here, so we went, and we scrub in and all that fun stuff for 3 minutes, and we go back to his room, and I see my son in an incubator and I LOST it. I mean I didn’t stop crying from his seizure until well that whole day I was a mess. It was just really really hard. They said we could get him out of the incubator at any time so I held him and again he had a seizure in my arms. So after that I didn’t hold him probably until the next day, Brannon did EVERYTHING, even in recovery before this he didn’t everything except breastfeed, he truly is an amazing man!

Anyways we were in there until he turned 1week old so for about 5days, he had EEG ran, MRI, and CAT Scan. They wanted him to be seizure free for 48-72hours before releasing him, and I was 100% fine with that, I just wanted him to be ok, I didn’t want this to happen again, and didn’t care how long we stayed there. We truly had an amazing experience with the nurses and doctors from L&D, Recovery, NICU, they were all truly AMAZING and so nice and wonderful. Noah made it 72 hours with no seizures, and I was so thankful. When he did have seizures, his oxygen, heartrate, or respitory, never fell below what it should be at his age, which was good, he was on monitors the whole time we were there, and you get so used to those and knowing they can catch something in an instant that coming home it was like, where are the monitors.

We got to come home on December 1st around 7pm. He had been over 72hours without seizures, and we got the results back on the CAT scan which is the reason we were waiting so long on that Monday. Between the MRI and CAT scan of course they showed basically the same stuff the CAT scan just more in detail. He had a hemmorage on the right side of his brain and it was a good amount of bleeding. They don’t know if it caused damage yet but if it did its more of a silent part of the brain, if it had been any further over to the right it would have been where his motor skills are and he could have had cerbal paulsy. Also that day in the morning they did an ultrasound, because he has a skin tag on his ear, they were worried he might have something wrong with his kidneys, since when a baby is forming the ear and kidneys are forming at the same time, so if something is wrong with one there might be something wrong with the other. They were right, he had fluid around one of his kidneys. Thankfully that’s all cleared up or almost cleared up, just 1 more checkup in April to make sure its 100% gone. Poor thing had to have a catheter inserted into him a few weeks ago to make sure it wasn’t something else going wrong, but it just looks like it was a fluke and some extra fluid in there, that’s clearing on its own, thank goodness!

He truly is amazing and wonderful and thank you for taking the time out to read my WHOLE story, its super long I know, but even if you didn’t read it all I hope some parts of it helped you.

We find out more tomorrow if Noahs going to be ok in the brain hemmorage as his CAT Scan is in the morning, and we will know more after that, and find out if we can start taking him off his seizure meds. He hasn’t had one since his second day in the NICU, so that’s great! Its still scary at times, but he is a wonderful baby, laughs and plays just as he should at his age, and just amazes us EVERYDAY. We are very blessed to have had a WONDERFUL child like Noah.

Some SLIDESHOWS of NOAH, from the NICU to 8weeks old

SOME VIDEOS

His room

Bathtime

Cooing

Another IVF success story

Hi Ladies of FT,

I got some news to report. On 7dpt beta was 95. Yay!!!! Very cautious but happy. Today 9dpt and 14 days past retrieval beta is 241. Ladies, I need your prayers please please please let these numbers keep on doubling. Thanks to my girls Kelli, Angie, Lara, Amanda, Chels, and all of the other ladies that sometimes answer my questions, and for always having faith that things would work out. It is still very new and early so please please please hope for the best. What do you ladies think about these beta numbers? Ladies please if it could happen to me it could happen to anyone don't give up hope because one day it will happen to you! Oh let me mention, at 7dpt the progesterone level was 25, and today the progesterone lowered to 17.9 should i be concerned about this? So they increased the progesterone to twice. So now my carrier is taking it twice a day instead of once. Do you think this is correct? Happy Holidays to all the ladies of FT and baby dust to all!

Labor Story :)

I still cannot belive Im writing this!

On November 24th- I went to work, like a normal day, and then went to a normal check up. ( I was sick the whole week before and was put on antibiotics on friday for a bad chest cold) I had an ultrasound and they said that the fluid had dropped to 2.2 (from 15 one week before) I assured them there was no gush of fluid and that I had been very sick. They decided I needed to be monitored that night and would be induced in the morning. So I went straight to the hospital. I got all checked in and DH went home from work and gathered all of the things we would need and came to meet me.

Monday night was a lot of monitoring and cerv gel only- which I dont think did ONE THING.

The next morning- they put another kind of gel on and it made the contractions start immediately! It was very painful. The doc said I was in for a LONG day of labor since I was still only 1cm dilated, and he advised I get an epi then before I would get too worn out- I AGREED :) So I was then happy and enjoying my jellowy legs and they started the pitocin very slowly. Contractions came and went, I tried to rest- not much.

And then at about 4pm I was only 2cm, and the epi was gone... So I was miserable. They then came in and topped off the epi- was like a drunk lady with jello for limbs! I felt so numb, I hated it- so I decided that I would sleep while I was like that- they came in to check me at 630 and I was 7cm, and almost immediately 10- and started pushing....

at 7:56 Sydney Lynn was born!!

Sarah is going to post some pics!!

Love you all!

My Labor Story....was WONDERFUL!!!!!

We are still at hospital, now staying an extra day because of some temp fluctuations with Noah but its nothing to be of concern, we are just staying to be safe, and plus usually they make them stay 48 hours but with night babies they sometimes let you go earlier if all is well. But we are totally fine with staying an extra day, we have had a great experience here, and everyone has been wonderful!

Labor was awesome. Started Monday morning, just thought it was an ordinary contraction day, wasnt even going to write it down, but then decided what the heck. Contractions nad cramping were going on before I started to write it down so when I did start writing it down I let it go for an hour and a half before calling doctor and getting hubby to come home. So needless to say we had to go in, and the doctor who delivered Noah (told me this later), said that when I got there she didnt think I was in labor looking at me, well soo not the case...haha. Like I thought I have a high pain tollerance and I do, but I handle pain VERY VERY well, especially if im around people, put me by myself and I will cry like a baby, but even with hubby I dont like him to see me in pain, he really thought for sure I wasnt in labor, until we got there and realized holy crap you really are...haha. I got there was then 3CM, got put on monitors, contracting every 3-5 minutes like I thought, then they said if they checked again in an hour and made progress they were sending me to hospital, well checked me again went to 4CM, so got admitted to hospital. Got here and got setteled in, so by then had been contracting good for 6 hours, and needless to say the days before it had been going on, but again they werent really bad to me. Well got here, got epi @ 5CM, then they broke my water all around 5pm. Things went great after that minus the not dilating anymore for hours. The epi put me at a stand still and I kinda wish I went further before getting epi but anethesologist was kinda busy and so told nurse I wanted it when he could get to me and it was a lot sooner then I thought, but oh well. Anyways I was on potocin since I wasnt making progress because of Epi, they had to up it from 6 to 36, so upped it 5 times before I finally went to 9CM around 930pm, then around 1010 went to 10CM, and started to get urge to push, but didnt say anything, they came back in and told me and got the family out (had about 9 people in there all the way until then, it was GREAT, didnt think I would like it but im sooo happy they were there, it was amazing to share with everyone). Anyways so the people came in to set up stuff, thats when I felt sooo NERVOUS, they said you could just tell in my face! This was around 1030pm. Around 1045 started the pushing process, and that was a blast...haha. LOADS of work of course but AMAZING!!! Almost got sick because I hadnt eaten since 9:30am, but atleast I had that fiber one bar and not nothing for the day. Anyways with each first push thought I was going to be sick, then taking another breath and doing the second pushes felt so much better, and always on the third push thought come on. Then would lay back and rest and close eyes in between. Only pushed for 30 minutes or so, and he was here @ 11:20. Got to see him come out since I was right there...haha, it was amazing!!!

Everything went great, and hubby was amazing!!!!

He is great now, he does everything but feedings...haha, so needless to say I am here by myself for the FIRST time with him, while he left to shower and let dogs out (since he wanted to get out told parents not to let them out for the afternoon he would go).

Anyways things are going GREAT minus temp fluctuation but going great!

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers and I will get back soon. Finally got sleep last night after 40 hours of being awake, but never felt horrible, oh and recovery is going well for me just some aches and pains but meds are great and today is sooo much better then yesterday! Oh and breastfeeding is going well too!

Lots of love!!!!

This is my 2nd cycle after my D&C with no meds :) My miscarriage was on 9.12.08 lost the baby at 16 weeks. Had originally conceived on my 2nd round of Clomid... but doctor thought I'd get pregnant on my own in the next 3 months... and I did.

I hope my story will give all of you inspiration. It will happen for you.

I almost feel guilty that I got pregnant so quickly after my miscarriage, cause I know all of you have been through SO much!

Due July 27th 2009.

When Did You Get Your BFP?

Just wanted to start a little discussion...

I'm on CD 54 of a normally 25 day cycle. Don't know when I ovulated (or even if I ovulated). Here's my sequence of events...

CD 27 - BFN Internet Cheapie with FMU

CD 28 - BFN Internet Cheapie at 9 PM

CD 32 - BFN Equate Test in the PM

CD 33 - BFN Beta (Results were 2)

CD 37 - BFN Internet Cheapie in the PM

CD 44 - BFN Internet Cheapie in the PM

Can you tell I have a really hard time testing with FMU! By now, it should have shown up anyway. There was another negative Equate in there somewhere, but can't remember when I took it (not that it matters).

I had little bits of very light pink spotting on CD 48, 49, and 50 but only after BDing... then it was gone.

Anyone have a story similar to mine and ended up being pregnant? What happened?

P.S. I'm going tonight (I know I keep saying it, but I'm really going to go) for another beta and will start taking Provera (assuming the beta is negative).

My story (DC9)

I have had many requests for my story.

So, I decided to try to write a condensed version of it.

A long, long time ago...... :)

We were married Aug. 1998. We decided not to get pg right away, because we were young and wanted time to enjoy each other. I went on BCPs for a few months, then started having some problems with them, so went off. I found out I was pg. on our first anniversary, and was soooo excited! I waited until Sept. to go to the dr.s, because they recommend not going until week 6. I found out I was farther along than I had originally thought when they got the heartbeat! My due date was set for end of Feb. or beginning of March. I also found out it was twins, but that one was dead, and I would be passing it soon. (I passed it the following week)

Everything was going well (except for the morning sickness!). At the Oct. appt., the dr. said that we must have miscalculated the due date, because the baby was too small to be due that early. I told him "All the babies in my family are small." (They range from 4.0 lbs. to 5.9 lbs.) He said he thought maybe we should do some tests when I came in in Nov. So, in Nov., he was getting bigger, but still at a very slow rate. They did tests, but they came out fine. On Dec. 10,1999, we found out it's a boy!!!!!! He was soo excited! "It's a little me!!" We decided to call him JJ Jr. (nickname Jamey). He was still small, so the dr. moved the due date to April 16, 2000.

On Christmas Eve, I was at my sister's house, and I told her there wasn't much movement. She said that babies don't move a lot towards the end of the pregnancy, because it's too crowded in there. :) I woke up early Christmas day, and knew something was wrong. I called my sister, and told her we would be late, because I didn't feel good. We ended up going over there, but I told her my lower back hurt, and he hadn't moved all day. The last time I felt him move was the day before. She told me to call the dr. They said to come in the next day to be checked out. They figured it was just the excitment of the day. I didn't end up getting an appt. until the 29th. I knew the whole time that something was wrong, but no one would listen! I got there, and they did the ultrasound, and couldn't get a heartbeat. She went and got the dr., because she thought maybe she wasn't doing it right. He came in, and got the same result. He told me I had two options. I can have a c-section, or have him naturally. I chose natural. He said then come back in tomorrow morning, and we will get it started. I went back in in the morning, and was already 2 cm. They got the IV going, and it took 15 tries to get it in!

I had Emmanuel at 5:56pm that night. (I only dialated to 6!) We changed the name so that if we have a live birth, we can still have a Jr.. We found out after I had him, that he was actually due March 1st, and that I have the Rh factor and should have had the shot. He was 9.7 oz., and 11 1/2 inches long. He was buried near JJ's grandparents. We also found out later, that his "insides" never developed. He should have been closer to 4 lbs.!

Since then, I have had multiple miscarriages, including twins, triplets, and quads. I am seeing a different dr. now, and he is aware of the Rh factor. He is sending me to a specialist in Dec.

That is my baby story, the rest of my life story, is: I am the youngest of 4 girls, I have 4 nephews, and 1 niece. I am married to a wonderful man named JJ. He is the youngest of 3. He has 4 nieces and a nephew. (Yes, the exact opposite!)

My family has been through a lot, but have come out stronger in the end. I believe God will help you through anything He throws at you!

Good Newsssssss!!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

Couple months ago I post it about trying to conceive for about 2 years. And I was complaining about my lower abdominal pain and my Doctor thought that I could have endometriosis.

Anyway, she did pelvic ultrasound and the results were negative so she wanted to do laproscopy but I want it to wait bec. she wasn't sure what it was.

And I"m glad that I did bec. I recently found out that I'm 2 month pregnant. I"m soooo happy. I wish you all the best. I learned that I just had to be patient and let it happen whenever.
Jolenes Journey (Part 2)

Its going to be Looooong, its from the TTC, to finding out pregnant both times, my BBT chart, to doctors appointments and pictures :)

So I figured I would update my journey with everything that we went through from March 2007 of TTC #1 and now being pregnant, currently 22weeks 5days pregnant with a baby boy named Noah Austin Thigpen due date of November 22nd 2008.

Im 23 and was TTC #1 from March 2007 - March 2008 found out I was pregnant on March 13th, 2008, after miscarrying on January 31st 2008 @ 5 weeks pregnant.

Found out I have PCOS August 20th, 2007, and found out I wasnt ovulating from March till I got put on Clomid in September, so about 6 months of trying and couldnt have gotten pregnant. I had to take Prometrium to start all this out and induce my period, because when I went back to the doctor after telling me to wait a few weeks and see what happens I was CD45 and nothing, so they induced my period.

So far so good, and here are the doctor appointments that we have gone to so far, and pictures of my Positive HPTs, Pregnant Pictures, and Pictures of Noah (which will have updated ones from our appointment on Monday July 28th)

Went to our 1st doctor appointment on April 3rd, 6weeks 5days pregnant. Got an ultrasound and baby is measuring as he/she should. We got to SEE the hearbeat via the ultrasound and it was 130bpm.

Went to our 3rd appointment on June 13th, 16weeks 6days pregnant, just had my downs syndrome blood testing done and weight check, and got to hear the heartbeat which now is 138BPM. I was measuring good and lost 3 pounds so far.

I think at this one I had gained some of my weight back, but I didn’t ask the numbers. I will find out on July 28th what I gained for sure so far.

5th appointment to come on Monday :)

Picture of OPKS from another Cycle to help anyone who might get confused on what might be positive what might be negative. Not sure which round of Clomid this was

Picture of Positive OPK @ CD30

Pictures of HPTs from this pregnancy

Pictures of me during pregnancy so far…

7weeks 5days

10weeks

13weeks

17weeks

21weeks 3days

21weeks 4days – with makeup on…haha.

Well thats it so far.
Something to make everyone SMILE!

The Smiths were unable to conceive children and decided to use a

surrogate father to start their family. On the day the proxy father was

to arrive, Mr. Smith kissed his wife goodbye and said, 'Well, I'm off

now. The man should be here soon.'

Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer

happened to ring the doorbell, hoping to make a sale. 'Good morning,

Ma'am', he said, 'I've come to...'

'Oh, no need to explain,' Mrs. Smith cut in, embarrassed, 'I've been

expecting you.'

'Have you really?' said the photographer. 'Well, that's good. Did you

know babies are my specialty?'

'Well that's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a

seat'.

After a moment she asked, blushing, 'Well, where do we start?'

'Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the

couch, and perhaps a couple on the bed. And sometimes the living room

floor is fun. You can really spread out there.'

'Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work out for Harry and

me!'

'Well, Ma'am, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we

try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles,

I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.'

'My, that's a lot!', gasped Mrs. Smith.

'Ma'am, in my line of work a man has to take his time. I'd love to be In

and out in five minutes, but I'm sure you'd be disappointed with that.'

'Don't I know it,' said Mrs. Smith quietly.

The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his

baby pictures. 'This was done on the top of a bus,' he said.

'Oh, my word!' Mrs. Smith exclaimed, grasping at her throat.

'And these twins turned out exceptionally well - when you consider their

mother was so difficult to work with.'

'She was difficult?' asked Mrs. Smith.

'Yes, I'm afraid so. I finally had to take her to the park to get the

job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep to get a

good look'

'Four and five deep?' said Mrs. Smith, her eyes wide with amazement.

'Yes', the photographer replied. 'And for more than three hours, too.

The mother was constantly squealing and yelling - I could hardly

concentrate, and when darkness approached I had to rush my shots.

Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just had

to pack it all in.'

Mrs. Smith leaned forward. 'Do you mean they actually chewed on your, uh...equipment?'

'It's true, Ma'am, yes.. Well, if you're ready, I'll set-up my tripod

and we can get to work right away.'

'Tripod?'

'Oh yes, Ma'am. I need to use a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much

too big to be held in the hand very long.'

Mrs. Smith fainted

Ladies pregnant with poss. male factor?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone gotten pregnant with a man who has either low sperm count or probs. with motility and/or morphology?

If so, please share your story, as I'm looking for some hope that we'll get pregnant soon! My DH does not have a low sperm count, but has lingering motil/morph issues due to an infection. But his urologist told us that we could still get pregnant based on what he saw of DH so far.

Share your story, please!

Thanks so much.

My story, 4 miscarriages and pregnant again. LONG

I have been getting a lot of questions about my situation so I though I would share as much information as I can. Please feel free to ask me anything. What have learned from all this is that sharing is the best thing you can do not only to help you get through it but to make sure others will not have to suffer.

So here goes in Oct 2005 DH and I decided to TTC. I was not on any BC for about 2 years and my periods were irregular, but didn't think much of it. Well the 1st month we conceived. Since I did not know when I ovulated I waited until I was about a month late to test. In December I went for bloodwork (HCG only) and it was positive. Was seen by an OB/GYN who did an exam and stated that I just felt a little small for being this late and would do an ultrasound to measure. Went for the ultrasound on a Sat and the technician told us nothing but to page the doctor. So my DH did and that is when they told us there was no heartbeat. So I was scheduled for a D&E on 12/22/05. Chromosome tests came back normal, she said she wasn't sure but it "may" have been a partial mole and was positive I would have a baby next time.

Well next time was 07/06. I knew I was PG 2 days b4 AF so I tested and it was positive. Went to OB, bloodwork to confirm. # days later I started bleeding. Went to the ER and they said it was 1 of the following: normal bleeding, too early to see anything, eptopic, or I was having a miscarriage. I followed up with the OB and confirmed I miscarried on 7/19/06. Again she said everything would be fine. A few days later my sister tells me she was diagnosed with PCOS and to ask if this was a possiblity. So I called and talked directly to the OB. I "did" have irregular periods, prior to the 1st pregnancy, and excessive hair. She said "there is no way I have PCOS bc I ovulate on my own and PCOS can not lead to a miscarriage." So not knowing any better I thought ok. Again she said next time.

So 3rd times a charm right? well My sister gave birth to my 1st nephew the day I found out I was pregnant again. It was exactly like the last time. I knew a couple days before tested on 11/13/06 and by 11/16/07 I was bleeding again. So OB scheduled me for maternal bloodwork and HSG. She claimed bloodwork came back normal and when we did the HSG she said my one tube was blocked. All she could do now was refer me to an RE.

So in April of 07 I found out I was pregnant for the 4th time. I was scheduled for the RE in about a week. I called my OB right away and she said she would do the blood test to confirm but to go see the RE anyway. By the time her test results came back I had seen the RE and had the results that day. HCG was through the roof and progesterone was 9.4. This was the FIRST time the OB had ever bothered to check my progesterone levels. My RE was able to tell me that I also had PCOS in that same visit. He showed me the cyst in my ovaries during the ultrasound. He was pretty sure that the baby was going to be fine but there was a chance that we were too late. I went back for a progress scan and there I was told. "The baby has not gotten any bigger and there is still no heartbeat, we need to schedule your for a D&E" I thought I was going to die right there. Baby number 4 was removed from me on 5/17/07 at 6.5 weeks.

So he was deteremined to find out what was wrong. 1st our baby's chromsone study was again completely normal. So he moved onto DH to see if there was something wrong. DH SA came back with low morphology around 3.5% strict. He was not concerned by this bc wwe were able to get pregnant and the baby came back fine. But we paid out of our pocket for the SCSA test to check his fragmentation and DNA. Came back great. She his swimmers are just shaped differently but nothing wrong with them. So onto me HSG was done again. Both tubes open no blockage, and no visable scarring. Endometrial biopsy = normal. Over 600 different bloodtests, chromosonal studies, etc. on me alone. Theses were the some of the same tests done already. Hubby came back fine. I had two things wrong. 1. PCOS, 2. 1 gene MTHFR w/a history of family blood clots. So onto fixing this.

I take a prenatal vitamin, 4mg of folic acid, 81mg baby aspirin and now 200mg twice a day of progesterone. I am now pregnant again. I am scared to death of the outcome of this pregnancy but this group has been great already, and I have to pray that things are in my favor for once.

So if I can say anything get your progesterone checked even for the 1st pregnancy, PCOS may be controlled through an insulin resistance diet and 10% weight loss (this helped me), low morphology means very little, and as hard as it is to keep going you will always find someone who has been there.

Best wishes to everyone and please hang in there. Trying to have a baby is not for sissies. BABYDUST and STICKY GLUE to all!!!

Again if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
