Missing Period and Spotting?!?!

Hi Dr.

I've been on Solia birth control for the past months. This week (starting Monday) I was supposed to get my period, I'm on the sugar pills right now. I got spotting one night while my boyfriend and I were having sex, it didn't last more than that one spot. I took a pregnancy test and it did come out negative (but I also took it late at night and heard that isn't the best way to do it either, so we're planning on taking another one at the end of this week). Last night my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex while I'm on the sugar pills, is that OK? Or is it recommended to use a condom while only taking sugar pills? Also, I got brown spotting this morning. What is physically happening to my body now that I'm supposed to be getting my period and not?

Side effect from stopping birth control, with PCOS?

I have PCOS. I am 28 years old. I stopped taking bc at the end of July. Still no period. I did have spotting twice, only enough for one wipe and one spot at that. I have been very dizzy for the last 4 days. Almost fell over one day. I have non-stop cramps since coming off bc. Negative HPT's as recent as yesterday. Any advice to regulate my period? Thanks.

Spotting and Birth Control... Need a dr's advice

I'm feeling a bit frustrated. Dr. Q, you are already aware of this, but let me recap anyways...

I stopped bleeding completely around 3 1/2 weeks post partum (I think I'm accurate on when) Anyhow, I started the mini pill, and right around 5 1/2 weeks I started spotting again. It continued until my checkup at 7 weeks.

My midwife told me to take the combination pill and it would stop the spotting.

It DID stop the spotting within two days, but after 5 days, my milk was drying up significantly so I went back to the mini pill

Today is day 3 of the mini pill, and I started spotting in the middle of the night!!

Do you think I'm just spotting as a withdrawal bleed b/c of taking the combo pill?

If I continue spotting/bleeding after a few days.. could the mini pill be CAUSING the bleeding? If so, would stopping the mini pill all together make it go away?

I don't want to never be able to have sex again.. haha... and if the mini pill is going to cause me problems, as is the combo pill, then dh can suck it up and use a condom, b/c this can't go on forever...

Any advice from a medical professional? :)

?confused? about my cycle day...please help!

ok here goes, my doc put me on birth control last month because i had a cyst on my ovary. well i ended up missing a pill on my third row (friday pill) and i started spotting the next day, saturday, 6/28. i continued taking my pills but was still spotting everyday. so i finished the last row of pills and spotted red, 7/5. which i counted that as cd1 because that was when i finished my pack.

anyway, this saturday i was having pains in my ovary and assumed that it was my cyst coming back. i even posted a question to dr q about my pains. saturday would have been cd8, since finishing my pack.

well, last night i took an opk and it come out positive or as close to positive as you can get. so now im afraid that my cycle actually started the day i missed my pill. in that case, i would have been on cd15, on saturday, which would explain why i was having pains. im so confused and dont know what cycle day im on.

can anyone please help?

spotting/brown discharge/cramps..PLEASE HELP

I'm 22 years old and have been on birth control for about 3 years now and am sexually active. I had my period 2 weeks ago and started taking my pills as scheduled. I have missed a couple days of the pills and took them as soon as I remembered. For the past few days I have had a brown discharge and some spotting, the cramps just started today. I have been under a great deal of stress the last 2 weeks and don't know if messing up the pills and the stress could cause something like this or if it could be more serious!! I'm worried and don't know what it could be.

Early Period?

I asked a Q about my period since I've come off BC yesterday, well today I wiped and there was blood! I had a period Jul 30th then wore my patch for a week and took it off, then got another period August 13th. Any idea if it's normal for it to come this early if I'm expecting it around the 13th of September?

Thank you

Nicole

BTW I'm TTC and trying to figure out when my regular period will be!

What is going on with my body?

Well I've been TTC Since the end of Jul. I was on Ortho Evra and got my regular period Jul 30th. Then I stopped taking the patch a week later. I got another period on Aug 13th that lasted a few days. I want to know do you think I could have possibly ovulated any time between then and now...do I even have a chance of getting pregnant this month? Also, which period date should I expect my period? It didn't come at the end of August..so I'm expecting the 13th of the month. Any advice?
