I'm a week and a half late on my period...

and I took a test last friday and it came back negative. Do you think that maybe it could have been too soon to test?? This cycle has been weird.. i had mid-cycle spotting, I'm NEVER late for my period. I had sex right around ovulation so there is a chance that i could have gotten pregnant. I know if I don't start I need to go to the doctor, but my question is do you guys think that I should try another test?? I'm not having any of my normal signs that my period is getting ready to come on either. I just don't want to go and buy a test if that one i took was more than likely accurate. Many I ovulated later (happened with my first pregnancy that ended in miscarriage) than I thought and it was too soon?? Have any of you taken a test and it took a while to come up positive? Should I test again or is it safe to assume that I'm probably not pregnant??

TSH HORMONE LEVELS

Hi Dr.Q, My RE checked my thyroid levels and they came back 2.8. I know that it is within normal levels, but about ten years ago it was .7 and just a few years ago it was 1.7; so my question is as i get older(37) is my thyroid going to keep climbing and is that just normal? Are there natural alternatives to help increase its ability to work properly? I already workout and are a healthy weight, i eat well too. thank you so much for your time.

Dr. Q: injections?

Hi Dr. Q,

I plan to start injections and IUI this cycle. Was wondering when in the cycle one should begin injections? Not sure which ones I will be taking so it might be different depending on the medication. I took clomid for 3 months when ovulating on my own (no monitoring with ultrasounds or blood work, RX from obgyn). Now with an FE who mentioned beginning injections with IUI this cycle and I am wondering what those injections might be. I'm on cd1 today and did put a call into the office.

I'm 36 years old, husbands sperm was good, hsg test was good, my LH was 18.1. I'm doing day 3 FSH and ultrasound on Friday and hoping to begin injections then as well. I'm wondering what you would recommend at this point. THANKS so very much for all your help!!!!

Should iChange Doc in the midlle of treatment?

Hello Dr.Q and Ladies,

i have a difficult decision to make and i would like your opinion.I've been with my doc for 3 months now, i am on my second round of clomid, i did 50mg, now 100mg. But the thing is, i really don't connect with him. He's not doing any type ultra sound or nothing to see if i am ovulating. He just said go home take clomid on day 5cd to 9cd, track your temp, and come here when you got your period. So, i did that, but clomid made me very dry, even hurt my DH. then i told him that, i asked if my CM was not "friendly" to the sperms, and he said there is not such a thing, that i just need to use lubricant next time, he also looked on my temp chart and said that i did not ovulate on this cycle, just based on the chart. when i asked for further questions, he just said that i should keep taking the clomid. I really want to change doc, but do you think that would a problem to stop the treatment in the midlle and see another doc, or i should wait for the third round on clomid, and then change doc? please i'll really apreciate if you could help me with your opinions, because i just moved to a new state where i don't know anybody, or a good doc for that matter.

Happy New Year for you all...

Lots of BABY DUST TO YOU ALL THIS YEAR.

thanks,

andreia.
