density 45 million total sperm count 68, motile sperm 35 % progressive motility 51%, rapid 2%, slow progression, non progressive 6%, Immotile 43%, viable sperm 50% this was the results before wash and the following was after....sperm count 42, motile sperm 30, progressive motility 71%, type a rapid progression 10%, low progression 61%,non progressive 9%, immotile 20%. this is the report that we got you may be able to relate better than I.????

is this above, normal, below??????

i know sex will not harm the baby, but im concern is this: if the penis touches the cervix with to much force, or even not much force could it cause any harm? and does any semen get through?

Been trying to have our first baby for 3 years as of October 2008. My husband is 24 and I am 23. We were best friends in high school, I've known him since I was 6 years old. We've been together 6 years on November 2nd =)

Been married for 3 years. Bought our first house a month before we got married. We are hard working and honest mid-west people. =)

After stopping birth conrtol pills I did not have a period for 13 months. Then once I got a period every month I tried naturally for a year, nothing. So I went to the Dr and found out I do not ovulate on my own (even though I get a period each month I fall into the 20% of women who get a false period but do not ovulate) I'm on clomid right now. First round 50 mg. No ovulation.

Second round 50 mg. No ovulation, but on huge follicle at least. Progesterone level 0.8 on cd 25.

Third Round 100 mg... still awaiting the results.

The goal is to get me to ovulate on my own so I can finally get pregnant!! I've had a HSG, u/s, bloodwork. We are awaiting the results of DH's semen analysis right now.

I was told I may have a sub septate uterus. I have a SIS this month to get that checked out. May have to get it fixed soon.

Working part time now and going to school for nursing. Every day is a challenge, but I know my time to be a mother is closer than ever and I am very very thankful. I know there is a time and place for everything and soon my life will change. I am already very blessed and I realize why it was meant to be that we waited to be parents (although it does not ease the pain). I wish you all the best and if we only truly believe we will be mothers then we will achieve it =)

My journey trying to conceive #4

Hi everyone! I have posted several questions but thought I would actually write about my journey since I have really learned alot and have felt more positive from reading some of the other jouneys. So here goes:

My DH and I are both trying to conceive baby #4. We have 2 kids from my first marriage, Zach age 16 and Holly age 13. We have 1 son together, Grayson who is 3. Grayson was indeed an "OOPS" baby as my hubby was told his boys are slow swimmers! This was during his first marriage. His ex and him could not conceive a child.

We got pregnant in Oct or Nov of 2004 and in Dec suffered a misscarriage. It was a huge shock getting pregnant! We weren't trying to conceive as we both thought it wouldn't happen. But in Feb 2005 we were PG again and Little G was born in Nov 2005!! What a joy he is to us. Especially to his Dad, as my hubby thought he would never have a child of his own. He is an awesome Dad to G and to Zach and Holly, whom he loves very much. I am very blessed.

Here is where my journey goes downhill...in Sept of 2007, DH tells me he wants to have another baby. I was surprised but totally excited to have another. I really though we were done. We had given away all of our infant things! So, we started trying...PG in January, but lost the baby. PG again in April and lost that baby too. As of yet, we have not got pregnant. I just finished my 3rd round of Clomid. DH had a SA done and as we already knew, he has a low sperm count and the boys are still slow! DH has a tumor on his pituitary gland and is on meds for it. As of last MRI it is gone! Which is AWESOME!!! He uses testosterone gel daily as part of his treatment. We are now making an appt to see a urologist. Hopefully this can help. I was diagnosed in May 2008 w/hypothyroid which is now under contol. Hopefully we will get a BFP soon. Thanks for taking the time to read and I wish everyone MUCH babydust!!!

My DH got this report can you tell me what are the chances of conceiveing alone:

*SEMEN LIQUID 7.C

*APPERARANCE PALE YELLOW

*SEMEN VOLUME 4.C

*SEMEN PH 8.C

*SPERM MOTILITY 18

*SPERM VIABILITY 15

*SPERM MORPHOLOGY 62

*SEMEN COUNT 1.8

If anyone can tell me what the outcome is, and if it is at all possible to be able to concieve without a dr. We have been to one and we dont have the money for the IVF, we are hoping that if it was meant to happen it will, what are your thoughts?

Docs: Semen Culture Test. How long?

At our initial consult, our RE requested another semen analysis since tests in June & October (as well as IUI's in that time period) showed an abundance of leukocytes.

The RE also wanted to do a semen culture with that s/a. He said that an untrained eye in a lab might confuse immature sperm with leukocytes.

So, my question is how long does it take to get results of this culture? Days, weeks?

I don't have a regular family doctor, but I want to pursue getting a semen analysis. Do I just go straight to a urologist, or should I go to a walk-in clinic and get referred? I just don't know hot to begin this process.

I AM MARRIED FROM LAST 2 YEARS BUT MY WIFE COULDN'T CONCEIVED. I DID MY SEMEN ANALYSIS WITH ACTIVE MOTILE 35% AND SPERM CONCENTRATION 32.54MILLIONS/ML. WE MET A DR HERE. SHE ADVISED ME TAKE UBIPHENE(CLOMIFENE UBIDECARENONE) FOR 3 MONTHS. MY WIFE IS HAVING A NORMAL MONTHLY CYCLE OF 26-27DAYS. PLEASE SUGGEST ME THAT UBIPHENE WILL WORK TO IMPROVE MY SEMEN ANALYSIS AND MY WIFE CONCEIVE OR NOT???

White Blood Cells in Semen.... AGAIN!... now what?

We did our 3rd round of IUI today at our OB/GYN. Their in-house lab doesn't do an analysis on semen, but they do take a look see and the doc said DH sperm is now LOADED with white bloodcells.

He's now done 30 day courses of both doxycycline and cyprofloxacin antibiotics and it seems that things are getting worse.

The doc told me that leukocytes can build up in semen and hub said 1-2 weeks since his last ejaculation.

So, now what?

My husband just went in for a semen analysis and it wasn't much. At least it didn't look like much in the big cup. Maybe about 2 teaspoons. Is that enough?

Well ít's officially 135 days since my last period. My dh and I have an appt with a RE on Sept 18th/08. Today I picked up my husband's kit from the lab for semen analysis..mmm yummy! On Sept. 9th/08 I go for a transvaginal ultrasound and also a regular pelvic ultrasound so I have to drink 4 large glasses of water before it...had 2 blood draws that showed low progesterone high testosterone and high LH/FSH ratio. The countdown is on until we can find out the path of how to get a wee one into our lives!

Hi me and my DH have a3yo. We also got pregnant early this year which ended in a miscarriage. Due to the info i have learnt from this site(thank-you), we saw a fertility specialist. In our consult he said he cannot give us a diagnosis of ifertility yet and to come back in 3 months. We asked for some test to be done and my DH semen analysis result was not very good. With these results IVF and ICSI would be our only chance. Have not seen doctor again but would cause this. Sorry for all the extra info I have given.

freezing sperm for back up?

Hi there Dr.

What is your take on freezing sperm for backup during IVF? WE did IUI 2x with no sperm/ ejaculation problems but the our IVF office recommends freezing for back up. It isn't covered by insurance and is $370. We are still trying to decide. We kinda think we should do all we can but don't want to waste money either. THANKS for your input.

Husband's semen comes right out about a minute after/Help

When my husband and I have intercourse, it seems like most of his semen comes right out after within about a minute or so and no matter what I do (pillow under hips, etc.), it stills comes out. Is this normal?

Could this be part of the reason we are not getting pregnant?

my semen analysis report shows

volume 1ml, mobility 54%, total sperm count 60M, pH 8.5, pus cell 5-7/HPF.

what does it refers? Does it shows any infertility or STD ? Please help me out..
