I recently had my 20 week ultrasounds and they discovered that I had a placental lobe, or second placenta... is this anything to worry about?

hi i had my first round of clomid last mnth and i took 50mg days 2-6,it didnt work,been back to gyno 2day expecting her to up my dose but she wants me to take 50mg again,do you think theres a chance it could work or if it didnt last mnth its not going to this mnth,any stories where it work 2nd time???

I have an 18 month old son already and am currently trying to concieve #2. I have been ttc for 7-8 months now. How long is it normal for trying to concieve a second child before i should start to worry about infertility?? I am currently going to start my 3rd cycle of clomid but no pregnancy yet.

IVF FAilure- Got AF, now waiting for second one??

Ok so I am looking for help- I know I have been MIA- please understand that we are going thru alot- but I do need help...here goes:

When my IVF failed, I got AF on Monday September 22nd (exactly 28 days from my last AF in Aug- even though I had just gone thru a medicated cycle)

We did not use OPK this month or anything and ony had sex 2 times.. on CD 11 and CD 14

I felt "O" pains on CD 13 but we honestly were not trying at all (trying to take pressure off and deal with the failure)... I assumed I would get AF Sunday 10/19/08 (cd 28) But of course I am not 100% sure when I ovulated- I started to feel crampy on Sat, Sunday and a little Monday- as if AF is on its way....but nothing. I am always regular 28 day cycle since age 14 (now 32)

Do you know if its typical for cycles to be messed up after IVF- or should they resume there normal course of pattern. Even when I was on clomid (3 rounds for IUI- I did not have issues with delayed period and no history of cysts)... And since I did not have to wait for a first period- It actually came 2 days before the beta (9/22) Here we are CD 30 and waiting on a second AF ....

I should add I did NOT use PIO (progesterone in oil) injections- I did take vaginal progesterone suppositories and stopped them on 9/22/08

I am afraid to take a HPT- seeing a negative will kill me- as I am still dealing with my emotions from the IVF failure-

Please Advise....

What is appropriate to do during your second pregnancy that you would normally do during your 1st? such as baby shower etc... the reason why i am asking is during my first pregnancy my SIL did a baby shower for me but it was a flop only one person showed up (was not on good terms with family) so i feel like i missed out on it. is it appropriate to do one with this pregnancy?

and no unfortunately no one sent anything me and my husband had to get it all and my MIL helped us out a bunch.

i m trying for my second iui i m taking latroze from 2 cd two tab per day and start hmg from 5 cd there are only two follicle one each side. last motnh i did iui but follicle was not raptured although i took hcg . there is not any problem like pcos etc in me i very upset wha tis going on.

ok i took 50mg of clomid days 3-7 and it made3 follicles on one side and two on the other. Today my doc called in a second round of clomid and the nurse increased me to 100mg of clomid why would i increase the dose when i already am making5 follicles on 50 mg. i have read there is no benefit to increasing dose once you are ovulating on that dose please advice i think i only am going to take the 50mg for this month

I am on my 2nd month of clomide. our 2 chidren were also clomide babies. Last month it showed that I was ovulating, I used clear blue easy digital. We had intercourse when we were suppose to, and I wans't pregnant.

We are on our second cycle now, and I think the initial craziness is gone. Which will make things so much better now. Last cycle I went a bit crazy with the HPTs, I will refrain from doing so this month. I have a clear blue easy ovulation test kit now, this will be more comforting than the Answer brand daily strips. About to start the week of trying again.

Ok...so this is my second round of clomid...first one I was put on 50mg and he said I didn't ovulate...but there were not test ran or anything..he said that because I didn't end up pregnant and I didn't start my period that wasn't my doseage...this cycle he prescribed provera for 10 days and clomid 100mg cycle days 5-9...and scheduled my next appt. on Sept 26 to come in and see if Im pregnant...Is that normal...Today is currently Cycle Day 13...and last night I started having sex, and now I'm suppose to do it every other day....is that correct

I am 27 years old,and I have a kid he is 5 years old., my husband is 40 and he has a good sperm count and I am fine whit everything abount test,hormonal,insuline....etc,but the question is I can't get pregnant the last 3 years and I take the clomid and nothing happened and I tried the artificial insemination and "I can't get pregnant,so maybe is because I am overweight,or what?

Dr Q,

I am on my second round of Femara 3-7(today is CD3) & I want to do IUI this time. I O on my owne every month. Do you think I should use stronger meds & or trigger? My RE is up for whatever I want. I will talk to his office tomorrow to let them know what I want to do.

Can you give me some advice as to what you think I need as far as meds??? I O on my own. Will stronger meds give me too many follies? I do not want to jump to IVF yet.

I'm a 26 year old mom of a one year old daughter. I got pregnant missing 3 pills. Since her birth, 15 months ago, my husband and I haven't used any form of birth control because we wanted two children close in age. I am still trying to get pregnant. My question is why is it taking so long to have a second child? I do have PCOS dx through labs and u/s. I also have endometriosis. I had a laparoscopy in 2005. I went to the doctors a few months ago and he told me to come back in August if I haven't conceived. He also didn't have any answers for me, but talked about clomid. What are my chances of conceiving while on clomid if I don't get pregnant before than? Thank you so much!

Hello everyone. I am going through my second IUI attempt. The first cycle had to be cancelled because I had "too many" mature follies. The first time I was on Gonal-F, and this time I am on Follistim. I started the injections on June 15 with 50 units today is June 30 and I am up to 125 units. I realize that the doctors want to try and get it right this time, but it almost seems that they are trying to be a little to conservative. I know that I should not be in a hurry, it is just a little frustrating to me, every other day I am at the hospital getting my blood drawn, I have to get up early so I can make it to work on time, and my weekends are spent in the lab.

I've asked my doctor how my levels look and he told me that they go up and then the plateau and then they fall off a little.

I guess I needed to vent more than I am frustrated, my hormones are out of wack right now, and one second I'm on cloud nine and the next I'm down in the dumps.
