Thanks for hearing my vents.. Baby dust to all.. Nutting less.. Kels

My DH needs your prayers!!!! Please PRAY!!

My DH really needs your prayers-My MIL had a very serious car accident last Monday & thru the course of tracking down her medical info for the ICU docs we discovered that she has a very rare Mitochondrial disease called Kearn-Sayre Syndrome which is a degenerative neuromuscular disease that often ends in heart block & death. The life expectancy of these patients is short-usually do not live past their forties :(

There is a very high probability that my DH has this disease also. It often begins with the muscles of the eyelids deteriorating & he has already been diagnosed with the same type of eye problems as his mom. He has NOT been diagnosed with the mitochondrial disease yet. We were not aware of this even being a possibility until last week!

Needless to say we are in a state of shock & just trying to take things one step at a time. Please keep us-especially my DH in your prayers. I don't really know what I would do without him...

TTC #2...Is it possible to drive yourself crazy in only one month?????

My first pregnancy was a surprise...a very happy one I might add. Here I am 4 1/2 years later trying for #2. I am now 30 years old and I am scared. What if I can't get pregnant again? I know the odds of getting pregnant decrease with age. I know I am only starting on month #2 of my TTC journey, but I think I am already going insane. Last month I convinced myself I was pregnant as I was sure all my symptoms led to that conclusion. How many pregnancy tests does one have to take to convince themselves that they really are not pregnant? That test has to be defective!!!! I have already started to chart my temps, learn all I can about cervical mucus, ovulation symptoms, and keep a diary. I hate to admit it, but I am a TTC internet search addict. Am I the only one going crazy??? I keep reminding myself that it is up to GOD, not me. However, some days are better than others. Please help me, if I have many more months/years like this my husband will surely put me away!!! ;)

Getting kind of scared

I go in for another ultrasound today and this time they are filling my uterus up with saline to see if it is cancer or just a polyp in there. I am getting really scared of what they might find and wondering if it is going to hurt! I know that it cant be that painful since all they have to do is use a catheder, slip it inside my uterus and push in the saline but sre there any after effects? What happens to the saline when they are done? I am freaking out a little!

Has anyone else had this done, that can give me some advice?

I'm feeling panicky... I just want my mind at ease!

Hi Ladies,

So the "panic monster" is starting to take over again... I wish I could just chill out with this pregnancy! So far- I've been able to re-calm myself down and convince myself that the chance of me losing this baby is very slim... but the past two days it's like no matter what I think- the bad thoughts always sneaks in and takes over. I will be 18 weeks tomorrow (Saturday)

I've had NO spotting, and the cramping I've had has been very minor and infrequent. I still have not felt the baby move, I also do not think I am "big" enough to be 18 weeks. I've had pretty consistant headaches which I know can be associated with 2nd trimester. Also, I have noticed that my breasts sometimes leak a little bit so I know there is some sort of milk/colustrom present. I have not felt a lot of round ligament pain- yesterday was the last time I really felt that. I know I am being over paranoid- but I am so afraid of losing this baby. My first pregnancy ended at 11 1/2 weeks with a D & C- the baby had actually died at 9 -9 1/2 weeks. I did have some brown spotting/discharge for about a week prior to going in to the Dr. My husband and I go in on Friday Aug. 22 for our ultrasound/Dr. Appointment but I am soo terrified that we will be told the baby does not have a heartbeat. Just typing this is making me cry! I can't get the nightmare of this out of my head! I don't want to call the Dr. and see if she can get me in early-hubby will be out of town most of next week- and I want him there- I don't want to find out that the baby does not have a heartbeat by myself again- and if everything is fine- I want him to be there for that too. Plus I feel that my Dr. is going to think I am nuts because I keep getting panicky for no reason.

I know that nothing will completely convince me that this pregnancy is perfect and strong- until after that little baby is in my arms- but I still have a long ways to go for that!

Undecided -- How Did You Know You Were Ready To Be A Mom?

I am so undecided. I wasn't before, but now I am.

Here's my story. I got married 4 years ago. My husband is amazing. I wasn't ready for kids. Then one day 2 years into our marriage I just woke up needing them. We started trying. Miscarriages followed. Disappointment. 2 years of trying resulted in nothing but dispair.

Medical History: I'm 28. Perfectly health. In shape. Don't ovulate on my own. Clomid works on me. Just had a series of bad luck miscarriages. Have an awesome RE.

I started feeling horrible and consumed by this need to get pregnant. I was obsessed. Got super depressed after the last failure. Saw a shrink. Got the appropriate meds/therapy.

So we're ready financially to be parents. My husband is emotionally ready. I'm another story. My husband wanted a baby when he first met me. Awfully cute but sorta heart breaking. And I don't know how I feel anymore. He thinks I'm just protecting myself by thinking I don't want a baby. I can see his point. Maybe it's true. But now I'm scared to start trying... to even want it. I took the Summer off and need more time to decide.

Ugh, I know he doesn't want to wait. I want a baby for sure, one day. I'm scared of pursuing it now. What if it doesn't happen? What if I'm a sucky mom? What if I hate it? What if I wait and then I royally screw myself over b/c I do have fertility issues (no fertile myrtle here)? So many "what ifs." I over analyze everything.

Anyone experienced a similar situation? If so, any insight would be super helpful. I hope I don't sound like a huge flake.

**None of my friends are married or have children.. so it's nice to have this forum.

pregnancy after an ectopic

Just to clear this up I am a paranoid mom here as you would be to if faced with what I have been faced with, So if you choose to comment Please do not be rude or judgmental. If so do not finish reading my qustion!

I do not have pain on my right side however I feel presure from time to time there. I am unsure if I will feel more on my right side b/c I have a tube there and not a working tube on the left due to ep rupture? I am about 4-5 wks along. I can not find anything in books telling me if my body will feel diff with a new pg after going through an ep.... I could really use a Dr's imput any of the Dr's on here. Is there anything I need to pay attention to so that I do not mess up on the pg? I need to know what to pay attention to to help me better understand whats going on. I am scared of not knowing what some signs are and I do not want another rupture!!!!!!!

I already was told that if I have a rupture on my one and only tube, then I can not have anymore babies=( If this was told to you or you had to go through this you would be scared too.

Dr Q. I have a important question!

I just got a + on my hpt. I am guessing I am at 12 dpo. I had the ep in March and also was told last week that I have pcos, and while looking at my ovaries he does not suspect that I o. However I must have because as of yesterday I am pg. If my levels rise is this a good sign, or could it be another ep in my only tube? Please advise, We really want this, but I don't want to risk damage to my only tube....

Am I pregnant?

I made a stupid mistake and went on trip with my boyfriend for 4 days and had unprotected sex 5 times. I ended my period on the 31st of December. The first time I had sex after my period was on the 2nd of January and the last was on the 6th. He ejaculated in my vagina everytime, and I'm so scared that I could be pregnant. I was adopted and I don't believe in abortion, but I'm moving to New York soon to train at a prestigous school for musical theatre, and I WILL go to New York. I wish there was another way, is there a way to remove the baby this early?
