The NICE things people SAY or do

Well I really enjoyed the post about the stupid things people say and do so I thought I would post the opposite~ the nice things people have said or done. I know I get a lot of support on here because we all know what eachother are going through. A lot of my friends don't understand because they have never been through anything like this.

My best friend however, has been awesome through my ttc journey. I have been having a rough time lately. I just had surgery Tuesday(laporoscopy, hysteroscopy, d&c, and dye study). During the surgery they found that both my tubes are blocked. They attempted to remove the endometriosis in my tubes and I have another dye study to determine if it was successful in a month. My dr. has warned me that it is a highly unsuccesful surgery though. If it did not work we will be down to IVF or adoption as our two options. My best friend lives in Guam and set her alarm (due to the time difference) to call me to check how my surgery went. I was devestated to say the least and told her the news. I told her I was ok. (Like I tell everyone). She responded "I know you are not ok and that's ok. You don't need to be ok. You have every right to be devestated and to fall apart for a little while. When you are ready we will pick up the pieces and figure out what to do next" That was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. She knows me better than anyone and it is so nice to have a friend I don't have to put on a happy face for. Anyone else have stories of people who have said really nice things to you during your ttc journey?

So I decided to start a discussion on the stupid things people say when to those TTC. This is a space where you can feel free to vent and let it all out. This is a safe place for venters so please no ridicule on the venting! :)

Some of the things I hate the most:

"stop trying so hard, then you'll get pregnant"

"fertility drugs?! Your going to end up with ten babies!" (best response "so?")

"Go in for adoption... you'll get pregnant right away!" (Seriously, how does that make any sense?)

There are plenty more, but I want to hear all of yours!

Time to say good-bye

Hello everyone! After long time of talking and thinking with my dh and to myself. I have decided to leave Fertility Ties. We are going to stop ttc due to many many reasons. I don't think it is in my cards to be a Mum. With 4 miscarriages I think I got the answer I need from God. God sometimes doesn't want some ppl to become parents and that is me. I'm not done or sad it is just what it is. I will miss you all and love you all. I'm so excited that so many of you have become pregnant and are about to become mothers. It's a wonderful time in your lives. Sending everyone big (((hugs)).

I have tears in my eyes and an emptiness in my heart because I will miss so many of you and all of you have become my family. But I think if I'm not in the ttc line I shouldn't be on this site.
