Doubts on taking Clomid

Hi Dr,

I am 28 yrs old. I am trying to Conceive from 5 months.

Yesterday, I went to my Doctor and she prescribed be to take Clomid 50mg for 3 months.

But, I heard that normally doctors won't suggest Clomid until we ttc for 1 year.

Is it is really safe to take clomid so earlier as we are ttc from only 5 months?

My Doctor already did ultra sound for me. No problems were found.

I did track for my ovulation in one month. I found I did not Ovulate.

I am in Confusion. I have to follow my doctor or not? But we are desperately want kids now.

How safe is clomid? Can I really need to take clomid now?

Pls suggest me...

Riding in a grain truck....

Hi Dr.Q and Dr.Eva. I am currently 28 weeks and 1 day pregnant with twins and am wondering if riding in a grain truck with my husband through some bumpy fields can affect my pregnancy in any way. I know it seems like a silly question but a friend of mine told me that the bumpiness can send me into premature labor...is that true?

Are fertility meds safe?

Hello Doctors,

Tomorrow I'm doing a natural IUI cycle. We're going that route for two reasons:

1. We want to see how my husband's sperm responds to washing;

2. Fertility meds make me nervous.

Do I have any reason to be afraid of taking things like Clomid, etc.? I'm kind of squeamish about meds in general, but the thought of OHSS or a blood clot is freaking me out. Am I being irrational?

Thanks.

How many Tums are really safe in a day?

My dr told me I can chew all the tums I want, but last night I happened to glance at the back of the package, and it says not to chew more than 7 in one day, and not to use the full 7 a day for more than 2 weeks.

So.. whats the real truth here?

Medications in Pregnancy: Toprol XL

I take Toprol XL for my heart arrythmia. I have a history of SVT which sent me into Afib one time last year. Is this drug dangerous to take during my pregnancy? I cant seem to get a straight answer from my cardiologist or OB. I have weaned myself down to 50mg daily but cant seem to go any further due to breakthru SVT. I am a nurse and know when I am in this rhythm. What kinds of side effects can I expect in my baby? I am 35 years old and feel its now or never.

Thanks,

Debbie
