Doxycycline after HSG test

Doctor,

I have been taking Doxycycline since the HSG test. I have only 1 tablet left on the course, but I just wanted to be reassured that it is ok. A day after the test was my ovulation day, so we ttc. On the packaging, it says not to take it while ttc. But I also was told to finish the course to not get the infection back.

Will I be ok?

Are fertility meds safe?

Hello Doctors,

Tomorrow I'm doing a natural IUI cycle. We're going that route for two reasons:

1. We want to see how my husband's sperm responds to washing;

2. Fertility meds make me nervous.

Do I have any reason to be afraid of taking things like Clomid, etc.? I'm kind of squeamish about meds in general, but the thought of OHSS or a blood clot is freaking me out. Am I being irrational?

Thanks.

Is that really safe? Not too much for baby or anything? I know you cant' OD on them... but I want to make sure it won't hurt his tummy or anything.

Thanks!

Dr Q, caffeine, ginsing ro touriene?

There are a bunch of things that will do the same thing as caffeine, even high doses of Vit B (or say they say) but are they just as dangerous as caffeine? Im doing everything in moderation and limiting myself to 2 caffeinated beverages a day but wondering if I need to count the drinks that have the ginsing or tourine in them in that 2 drink maximum?

Dr Q.. personal and kinda silly question...

So, the doc said the cramps I was having might very well have been from having sex the night before. So, my question is, how rough is too rough during pregnancy? Or is there a such thing?

I also read somewhere that since orgasms from a vibrator can be more intense, some doctors advise against it during pregnancy. Whats the real deal on that? Sorry if thats tmi for some of you who will read this... but we like to spice things up a little.. and I really want to make sure I'm being safe!!!

Is it safe to paint?

Hi Dr. Q,

I am currently receiving IUI treatments. I have a huge home improvement project that really needs to get done which requires painting with a water sealant paint. Is that safe for me to do while TTC? I can't afford to hire someone to do it.

What is a good level of progesterone?

Dr. Q,

I'm not sure if you read my other post and saw that my hpt came back positive on Monday. I had my hcg and progesterone tested on Monday and it came back 67 hcg and 20 progesterone. Are those good numbers for 14dpo? When they recheck me tomorrow what should I expect to see for hcg and progesterone? I'm sure you understand my worrying after having the two miscarriages in the last year. Thanks!!!
