What should i do?too many follicles for IUI

HI ladies and Dr.!!

I'll be going for the 3rd round of IUI tomorrow morning.

I did not respond that well with the injectables in the previous cycle(9 months ago),but this cycle, today at Day8,my follicles were 16,16,16.5 and 17.And the Dr in charge warned me about the risks of mutiples.

I'm nervous but i cannot afford to stop at this point of time. Both financially and emotionally. So i gave the consent to go ahead.

For i think that,Last cycle i had two follies,15 and 19.5 but did not fall pregnant. So I might have a higher chance with 4 follies this time round.

I know,it depends on indivisual, how it turns out.For all i know,i might not even get preg.

I'm just a little nervous and feeling restless.

What do you guys think?Do i stand a higher chance of BFP?

Any stories to share?

secondary infertility

Hi I am being treated for unexplained secondary infertility and was wondering if all tests show clear to make it unexplained. and have had puregon and iui completed with 4 follicles and high sperm count.Does this look like a good cycle and what would be the chance on a multiple birth?

First IUI cycle and poor response (I think)

I am supposed to do my first IUI this cycle. I am on CD9 and have been prescribed an overlap treatment where I'm on Femara from CD3 - CD7 and then Puregon from CD6 - CD10.

Well today the nurse at the clinic told me that one follicle is already dominating and quite large (I didn't ask her the size). I asked if there were others and she said there is another one that could grow and the others are still quite small.

The reason I was prescribed this protocol was to produce multiple follicles and to increase my odds of getting pregnant (it's been 2 yrs of unexplained infertility - I have one DS who is 4).

My question is this - why I'm only producing one strong follicle? Will they have to adjust my medication for the next treatment? Should I do the IUI if I only have one follicle or wait until the next cycle??

I'm feeling quite disappointed as the clinic was sure I would respond well to this protocol, and right now it's not looking too good.

Injectibles

Hi Dr Q

I will be having an IUI in a couple of weeks and the doctor wants me to have injectables (Puregon) and then the trigger shot (Pregynl). I have no fertility issues but my husband has slightly low motility. Can you tell me what the injectibles are for and what is the benefit of doing them? Thankyou!

What EXACTLY were both medications helping with? Will anything change now that I am off these meds?
