progesterone levels

I was suppose to get my blood taken to have progesterone, and other levels taken. The form said to have it done from 8/22-8/25. I started my last cycle at 9:45 PM on 8/3. Can you tell me if I can still get the test done?

I called today and all I asked for was a hormone level check because I have Medicaid and I didnt thimk they would cover it if I said that I wanted it for infertility. I have had trouble in the past with my progesterone levels. I have been getting hot flashes too.

Anovulation

Hi,

I am wondering what could be causing me to have anovulatory cycles. I have been using OPK's for the last two months and in both those months have not managed to get a positive. The tests will start to show a surge and never actually register positive before going back to showing nothing again. I always have EWCM around the time of the mini surge and last month I was also using a fertility microscope that showed ferning about two days after the darkest test. My cycles are irregular and can last anywhere from 30 - 45 days. Oh and I have also been on 50mg of clomid for the last two months. When I have done the progesterone test they always want to take them on CD21 and I don't usually show signs of ovulation until CD20-22. However they tell me the progesterone tests show positive for ovulation. How can this be? Sorry, this is so long... I look forward to hearing your reply.

Help!

Hello,

I am 6 weeks o days pregnant and noticed a small amount of light pink blood after a bm this morning. Then, after lunch today I had brownish pink spotting. I've had twinges but no bad cramping. I am so scared because I have had 2 miscarriages in the past. I should also note that I am taking baby aspirin, 50 mg of progesterone suppositories, and 40 mg of Lovenox daily. I am scheduled for an u/s on Wednesday. Should I be as worried as I am?

cramping and progesterone

Hi,

I'm at dpo 8, 5 days post transfer. I'm on progesterone 3x per day. This afternoon, I had a severe cramp on my right abdoment after I inserted the progesterone. The cramp alleviated after 30 seconds. However, i've been having constant cramping on the right side, not as bad as the left one Is this a bad sign?

Pregnant after first IUI

Me and DH are both 24. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. Summer of 2007 I stopped taking B/C and nothing happened for a year. Cycle stopped coming about November of 2007. Went to FCI (Fertility Centers of Illinois) after a co-worker got pregnant from them. Our first appointment was the end of May 2008. One cycle with just Provera to start, and then one cycle of Provera, Clomid, and an IUI.

7.28.2008 - First IUI

8.11.2008 - Positive Blood Test

8.21.2008 - First U/S (4 weeks since IUI)

8.28.2008 - Go in for 2nd U/S to hopefully see HB

I am glad to have found a place online to get insight on our situation, and am hoping to pass the time until we see our little Cupcakes heartbeat!

Low Progesterone in Early Pregnancy

I am pregnant (about 4 weeks from my IUI). My progesterone is low and I am using Endometrin 3 x a day. My levels yesterday were 11.4 tested from the middle of the day, and last time they were at 16 tested from morning. Are these levels enough to sustain my pregnancy?

I have blood work done lately. I haven't had a period in months and I have slightly high testosterone and lower than normal progesterone. I am not overweight. I am 26yrs old, weight 132lbs. and height 5foot 4inches...How do I lower my testosterone?

When are progesterone supplements during pregnancy helpful?

My progesterone at 4wks 5days was 15.79ng/mL

This is within the normal range, but lower than average, right?

I have had one miscarriage between 5 and 6 weeks and one missed miscarriage (development stopped before 6 weeks, but I didn't start bleeding until 12 weeks) in the last year.

My luteal phases over the last year have all been 12 or 13 days long.

So is this a situation in which supplemental progesterone would be helpful?

I am an inclined to think not because if low progesterone were the problem why would I have carried the one pregnancy 6 weeks past when the baby stopped developing, but I can't get ahold of my doc to ask her and I'd like a professional opinion.

Thanks!

I Had IVF on Sunday Aug.10, and went for a blood test on Aug 18. They said my estrogen level 326 but they did not tell me my progestrone level, except they said it was low. Would this tell me that I am not pregnant or is it still too early?

> hello Dr. Last year when i was on clomid my Serum Pregesterone level was below 1.In April when i did an IUI.my P.level was around 58.

> But since July 27,i started taking 100 mg clomid again n i went for a blood test yesterday(CD 25).And today the results were out n my Progest. Level is 89.6 .Does this mean i ovulated?? The nurse did say that it was good and i wont have to increase my dosage. But i'm thinking to go for an IUI in September. Can u give me suggestion in what should i do? And when will be the best to BD??

Progesterone Levels

I am confused. I have been trying to get pregnant for about 7 months now with no luck. I had my prog. levels checked on day 23 of my cycle. I have long cycles...usually 34-35 days. My Dr. called me and said that my levels were at 3, but that he is not worried yet b/c he thinks we may have done the test too soon? I am pretty sure I ovulate anywhere from day 18-20. Does that make sense? I'm not sure exactly when the tests are suppose to be done, and I can't get back in touch with him very easy.
