When do OB's start doing Pelvic exams during pregnancy?

I am 17 weeks and my OB has not performed a pelvic check yet. I had a subchorionic hemorrhage at 13 weeks with bleeding that lasted until 15 1/2 weeks. I have been having a lot of pressure and sometimes pain in my cervix when I stand, sneeze or cough and I have my next check up with my OB next monday. Should I be concerned if she doesn't do a pelvic check or are these symptoms normal?

How do you deal when your husband says : we have to have a baby right now?

My husband has always been supportive of our attempts to get pregnant. He came home today saying " we have to have a baby now" That is so much pressure and put me in tears. I feel like I am the problem and the reason we can't conceive. I have irregular cycles and we haven't been able to pinpoint ovulation. We just started going to a RE but I had a miscarriage and now have to wait 2 months before trying again. What do I do to not drive myself crazy and deal with this kind of pressure?

pregnancy and low blood pressure

I have been having a lot of headaches lately. And weird headaches. Like after I eat food and not before when you would normally get a headache from not eating. Anyways my co worker has a thing that checks your blood pressure so he was curious. I've always had almost perfect blood pressure. Well I'm 10 weeks pregnant and my blood pressure just said it was 105 over 67. Is that bad? I know it's low but is it bad low? What does that mean? Should I call the Dr.?

Ok to take Gas-x?

Dr. Q

I don’t know if it’s the injections or not but I bought Gas-x last night cuz the gas and pressure was terrible. I have never taken it before but it seemed to help. I am taking injections in preparation of an IUI. Im taking 300 gonal-f and 150 of menopur each night.

Does anyone else have gas while on these meds or is it something else I have it from?

pressure in pelvis at 15 weeks

Dr. and ladies. I have been feeling this pressure in the area right above my hair line. It is not painful but feels like I worked those muscles or a dull pressure. I thought it could ligament pain but it is constant and not a stabbing pain...not is it on the sides. One of my papers from the dr said abdmoinal pain could be a sign or pre-term labor. Does this sound like ligament pressure or should I call my dr.???

Update on Me!!! 13 weeks pregnant and high blood pressure :(

Hi Everyone, I am really bumbed out, I went yesterday for my 12 week check up, and now for the past 2 months, my BP has been high, I have NEVER had high BP, and the doctor is worried about it. I am a small woman, before pregnancy I weighed 114 lbs, and I am 5'1", 24 yrs old. On 7/30 my BP was 122/76, and yesterday it was 141/81. I have to go back next wednesday, for them to check my BP again, the doc said I might have to be put on BP medication, and that they will have to follow my pregnancy more closly. I am really worried about this. This is my third pregnancy and never have had problems like this. Has anyone else had to deal with this? I am really worried, I have been reading, and high BP can cause the baby to be small, to come early, and I might be bed ridden later on in the pregnancy. If any of you have had high BP during pregnancy, please let me know your experences, I am in need of support right now. :)

Also we got to hear the baby's heart beat with a doppler for the first time, which was great! It was 150 bpm, that was the only good thing I got out of yesterday's apt.....

Blood Pressure question during periods

Dr Q,

Is there a reason why ones blood pressure increases only during periods and rest of the time tends to be normal?

My mother had the exact same thing going on and I have been experiencing this for the past 3 years.

Also, is the progesterone drop responsible for a mid cycle bleed/atrophic bleed and breakthru bleed?

Thank you!

Gross Question But I have to Ask!

Hi Dr.Q and Ladies,

I'm having a very weird issue. I am currently 30w4d pregnant and have been having tons of pressure (in front and back) and have been having diarreah 2-3 times per day for the past 3 days. I dont know if this is normal or not. I'm going to put a call into my doctor in the morning but I have to ask because I'm a little concerned. In one of my baby books it says diarreah can be a sign of labor, which really freaks me out. I'm wondering if the baby is possibly pushing on my bowel or something. He is very active and at times when he kicks or moves it hurts! Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Dr Q and ladies...

I am 33 weeks with twins... these are my first so I really don't know what to expect as far as signs of preterm labor. The last few days I have had a significant increase in pelvic pressure and menstrual like cramps... also the braxton hicks contractions are happening more frequently but still not having more than 4 in one hour. I'm not really sure at what point to contact my doctor. The cramping seems more isolated to left and right.. not really my whole uterus at once. It happens frequently when rolling onto a different side in bed or going from seated to standing.

Is this normal... do you think the babies are moving down? I have just always thought that I will know when it's true labor signs... but with twins I know you want to be extra careful. Any advice will be appreciated!

Low Blood pressure

Never ever never in my life have I had an issue with my blood pressure - even when I was preggo and fat as a pig never had any issues with blood pressure — with that being said, I went to my regular doc the other day (one day after finding out I will have a m/c) and my blood pressure was so low that they had to take it again to make sure it wasnt a mistake. The 2nd time around it was low but not dangerously low. Then I went to get the Rhogam shot the other day it was low again. Low enough for her to say it was low but not so low that she was in a panic.

My question is this - can depression cause low blood pressure? What causes low blood pressure and could it also be cuz I am not on the progesterone and estrogen anymore?

What can I do about low blood pressure?

Dr Q or Ladies..... Beta Blocker!!

I am taking a med that is a Beta Blocker. I am trying to figure out what that is and if it is going to keep me from conceiving or not. The med is called atenolol. It is for migraines.

I hope that someone can help me with this. I am worried that the med is going to keep me from conceiving.
