A New Journey!

My hubby and were TTC for 14 months before I found out I was pregnant. The road was long and discouraging but it was so worth the wait! When that second line popped up on the pregnancy test I just could not believe it. I started to shake and cry. I phoned my best friend and could hardly squeek the news out.

I was on my second round of clomid @ 50mg and this month we went with CD3-7. Another new thing that we tried this month was pre-seed. Although I am not sure if either of these things were a determining factor due to the fact that I never tested positive for ovulation. I believe this baby is a miracle from God, but what baby isn't?

In March God gave me a verse from Psalms as an encouragement. It is Psalm 113:9 - "He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord." On August 15 he gave this same verse to someone who is like a second mom to me. She knew right away who it was talking about and prayed that God would be gracious to us. This was a few days prior to when I think I may have Ovualted. I believe that this baby is a miracle because of how all the pieces are fitting together. I know that some of you are not religious and I am not trying to force anything on you... I just wanted you to know the true beauty of my story. :)

We are Due sometime between May 12 - 16, 2009. I am not all together sure because I am not really sure on the O date. I will be going for my first prenatal in a couple of weeks and I probably won't know a whole lot more until then.

Thanks for all the prayers and support! It has been such a blessing to be a part of fertility ties and I am hoping and praying that all those longing for their BFP will get it soon!

~~~~Baby Dust~~~~
It has been so long since I've been pregnant that I've forgotten.
Is lower back pain and mild cramping common in pregnancy or should I be concerned?
The pain is more in my back rather than in my abdomen but I am having cramping in my abdomen as well.
Please help me ease my mind....
It's a miricle!!! I'M PREGNANT!!!!!
I wasn't feeling great this morning... sore back and hips, so I decided to take a test. I thought for sure it would be negative, but it wasn't. I didn't even think I had O'ed this month because I never got a positive OPK!! This is truly a miricle from God!
This is the first pic... took it just minutes after taking the test!
Dialted and Effaced... What does this mean??
Hi All,
I went to the doctors this morning because over the weekend I noticed alot of cramping. It wasnt too bad but sort of frequent. Also I thought I may have lost my mucus plus on Sunday too. Anyways, I'm 35w6d pregnant today and I went to the doctors and had an internal and she said the baby dropped completely and she felt his head! She said I am 1cm dialated and 70% effaced and the baby was at a station -3 or 3... I cant remember what she said. Well of course I am a wreck! I'm just nervous about delivering so early because I'm only 36 weeks (tomorrow). Does this mean I am close to having the baby? Or is it normal to be 1cm dialated and 70% effaced for a while before he comes out? Anyone know? Thanks so much!
I have been ttc for over 7 months now, I have PCOS and have been on Metformin for a month, haven't had a period since May, so my ob/gyn put me on Provera for 10 days then Clomid for days 3-7.
I have been on Provera for 3 days now, However, I have been charting temps, anc all that and a ovulation test showed positive for 2 days ago.... if I did conceive around now, would the provera hurt the baby? or is it safe to take if pregnant? Thanks for your help, as I am completely new the medication part of ttc!!!
Will my doctor be able to tell if I am pregnant by Tuesday
I started my period on the 11th, ovulated last weekend, had some bleeding that lasted several days this week. The odorless blood (which I think might have been implantation bleeding) was very unusual to me, brown in color and a few times had a grainy consistency. I am going to a new Dr. on Tuesday and would like to know if he will be able to tell me. I have had dull cramping in my lower abdomen along with fatigue for the past 4 days. My period is not supposed to come for at least another week (mine varies).
Vitex to get pregnant?
i have read in several places on the internet as well as talked to people that say Vitex can be taken as a supplement in order to help increase your chances of getting pregnant. i was told it is especially helpful for women who have erratic periods. is this true? and if not what exactly is it used for. also is there anything recommended for women who are trying to conceive? sorry this was so long.
preggo's letter! lol!
Dear Non-Pregnant Person,
I hope you find these guidelines helpful in your interactions with pregnant women as failing to follow them may result in serious physical harm. ..
If you are thinking, surely she doesn't mean me- then you should probably read this twice.
1) The appropriate response to a couple telling you they are having ababy is "Congratulations!" with enthusiasm.
Any other response makes you an a$$
2) Through the wonders of science, we now know that babies are made ONLY by the mother and father- not grandparents. Unless the baby is in your uterus or you are the man that helped put it there, you may not ever use the phrase "my baby".
3) On the same note, unless you made the baby as defined in 2, the pregnancy, birth and raising of the child are not about you.You do not have input. No one wants to hear your opinion unless they ask for it. The same goes for the name of the baby.
4) The body of a pregnant women should be treated the same as any other body.You would not randomly touch someone's stomach if they were not pregnant, nor would you inquire into the condition of their uterus,cervix or how they plan to use their breasts.Pregnancy does not remove all traces of privacy from a woman.
5) Likewise, no women wants to hear comments on her weight- ever.A pregnant woman does not find it flattering that you think she is about is pop, must be having twins, looks swollen or has gained weight in her face.Telling her she looks too small only makes her worry that she is somehow starving her baby. Making such comments invite her to critique your physical appearance and you may not act offended.The only acceptable comment on appearance is "You look fabulous!".
6) By the time we are 20-30 years old, most of us have picked up on the fact that the summer is hot. We are hot every summer when we are not pregnant. We don't need you to point out that we will be miserably hot before the baby comes.
7) There is a reason that tickets to L&D are not yet sold on Ticketmaster. Childbirth is actually not a public event. It may soundcrazy, but some women really do not relish the idea of their mother, MIL or a host of other family members seeing their bare butt and genitals.Also, some people simply feel like the birth of their child is a private and emotional moment to be shared only by the parents.Like everything else in life, unless you receive an invitation, you are NOT invited.This includes doctor appointments, ultrasounds, labor,delivery, the hospital and the parents home.You do not decide if you will be there for the birth or if you will move in with the new parents to "help out".If your assistance is desired, rest assured that you willbe asked for it.
9) If you are asked to help after the birth, this means you should cleanup the house, help with cooking meals, and generally stay out of the way.Holding the baby more than the parents, interfering withbreastfeeding and sleeping schedules and making a woman who is still leaking fluid from multiple locations lift a finger in housework is not helping.
10) The only people entitled to time with the baby are the parents.Whether they choose to have you at the hospital for the birth or ask for you to wait three weeks to visit, appreciate that you are are being given the privilege of seeing their child.Complaining or showing disappointment only encourages the parents to include you less.I hope this helps- it sure makes us feel better.
Signed,
All Pregnant Women
Iced Tea During Pregnancy
Hi Ladies!
This is such a dumb and anal question but I have to ask. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have been very anal about drinking anything diet and with caffiene. I know both are ok in limited amounts but I am so anal I have been staying away completely. Well what about Iced Tea? I have had Arizona Iced Tea a few times and no where in the ingredients does it say caffien, but it doesnt say anywhere on the can caffiene free either. So what do you girls think? Does it have caffiene or not? Sorry for asking such a dumb question!
I'm So Confused...please help
We've suspected I'm pregnant, its been 2 weeks 6 days since we had sex. I had 4 drops of blood the following week and today I had horrible cramps and have been bleeding. Now it's stopped...I'M SO CONFUSED! What is going on? I had a negative urine test on wed. at the doctor's but I'm still holding onto hope. I'm not supposed to get my period until AT LEAST the 31st so I don't know whats going on.
Any ideas? Please I need some help...I'm completely lost.
Do you think I am pregnant? This is what happened....
ok so I had my last period July 28-July 30. I had intercourse with my husband on August 11,12,13,14,and 16. It is the 22 now and I have had a lot going on with my body these past 3-4 days. I have 2 children 7 and 3 so it has been a few years since I have been pregnant.
Here is what has been going on... pains in my belly (not really sure what it is) but I know it isn't my stomach. I have been very emotionally (crying to my husband and wanting him to be with me all the time)... not normal. I am having a hard time sleeping. I just can't get comfy! I have thrown up a couple times. And my nose has bled twice... which happened with my second pregnancy. I have taking a couple different tests and they say negative but I still have a week before I am due to start so I think it is too early to register. Oh and I have been feeling very bloated too. So much going on these past couple days and I know I don't have any type of virus or any sickness. Any suggestions? Do you think I am pregnant? Thanks in advance for your responses.
