Pregnancy and Exercises

Hi there,

I know this discussion board is mostly about getting pregnant. But I have a question related.

I am an active person, that workout 6 times a week, weights, cardio, yoga. In fact, when I found out I was PG I was in the middle of a workout program called P90X Plus. ( not sure if anyone is familiar with )

I am now 5 weeks pregnant, and I am wondering If I continue to have my exercise routine. Of course monitoring heart beat.

Is it ok to: jog, do weights, pull-ups, push-ups, yoga while in 1st trimester?

I ve heard different opinions, and I just want to make sure.

I ve had a "regular" miscarriage before at 9 weeks, so I want to make sure I am healthy and not putting my baby in risk.

Doctor?

Thanks,

Fetal Heartrate 8 Weeks

I just had my 8 week appointment. The fetal heartrate at my 6 week appointment was 132. Today for my 8 week appointment it was 143. The doctor said it was good. Is this okay? I thought it would have been higher...I hate this, I can't get my worry under control : (

Halfway through my pregnancy!

It's so hard to believe that I'm almost 6 months pregnant. I will be 23 weeks this Friday and I'm finally starting to feel a little relief. My blood pressure is finally normal, no more spotting, and no more worrying about miscarriage. The baby tested negative for spina bifida and Down Syndrome. He has all his fingers and toes, 2 kidneys, a bladder, ribs, and a spine.

My husband and I are so excited. I still can't believe we're waiting on our baby to get here! Not long ago I was so bitter about having a baby because I thought it was never going to happen, but here we are. I couldn't feel more blessed. I am so thankful that everything is going okay. I do feel for all the ladies who are still waiting for two pink lines - because I know how it feels. I couldn't even tell you how many negatives I got before I got my positive! So for all those ladies, hang in there! It will happen one day if you just keep the faith! :D

Here is my baby @ 22 weeks:

Xanax and pregnancy

Hi - I'm in my two-week-wait, and I have to fly long-haul in a few days. I hate flying and always take a Xanax first. Can one pill at this early stage cause birth defects if it turns out I am pregnant?

Anyone got pregnant on Metformin?

I'm on Metformin 1500g a day because I have PCOS and irregular periods. Metformin has regulated my periods and I now have them every 32-35 days.

I went for a progesterone test and the result came back at 32 - which I was very happy about because the doctor said that it showed ovulation.

I just wondered do I have the same chance as a normal healthy couple to get pregnant now as I am ovulating? Or are my chances less because I have PCOS?

Just wondered if anyone on here has got pregnant by using Metformin alone?

I don't know the exact day my last period was except I know it was around the middle of October. I don't know how long my cycles are nor do I know when I ovulate.

Hello Doctor,

i am 5 weeks pregnant. my doctor advised me to use Utrogestan (progesterone) 200 mg vaginally twice a daily. i want to know what this medicine is used for?? does it have side effect on my baby?? will it cause miscarriage??

these days i am facing lower back pain. i wonder, if the pain is due to this medicine or normal pregnancy symptoms..

Thanks in advance.

Ruda

is implantation bleeding with twins any different from a single pregnancy?

Today I'm 12 dpo I had counted incorrectly before. And I had cramping that only lasted like TWO hours. Then came blood not enough to cover a pad it only left 2 dots and I had it on for about 4 hours until I used the bathroom again. I wiped and there was blood with clear cervical mucus. It took like 2 to 3 wipes for all of it to not be visible anymore. I know its not my period because I usually have BAD cramps for the 1st two days. Can it be twins Or something else

Jenn wants a Baby Pearce #2!

Hello Ladies,

I found this site from a friend in the CafeMom group for Ectopic Pregnancies. I am sooo happy I found it. It's nice to be able to read everyone's stories and know that I am not alone in TTC. Here's my story.

I met my husband in January 2006, and we got married July 21st 2006. We work quickly! :) By September 22nd 2006 I had gotten a positive sign pregnancy test! We were pregnant with our son Julius who is now 2 1/2. That pregnancy went good aside from high b/p. He was a VERY healthy 8lb 12oz baby boy. I decided to get the Mirena IUD placed 6 weeks after delivery and we kept it in from June 07 to Sep. 08. when we decided we wanted another baby. We tried for months until I found out I was pregnant again on 07/08/09. We were ecstatic. We had been trying for almost a year to get pregnant with this baby and my periods had been messed up ever I had the IUD removed.

On Aug. 6th 2009 I went in for my standard u/s at 12 weeks and found out I was carrying an ectopic pregnancy. I was rushed into surgery and the doctors ended up taking my left fallopian tube because it was damaged from being on the verge of bursting. It was absolutely devastating and it still has been very hard to get over a few months later. I miss that baby so much.

Now I am here I have had 2 periods pretty regularly and we are hoping to begin TTC around the beginning of 2010. I am very nervous, but at the same time I don't think it'll take much more time for me to feel really ready to continue our journey. I think my son would make an amazing big brother. He loves other kids and babies.

Thanks for reading ladies. I look forward to making lots of friends through this site and hope to read lots of success stories from everyone. Having a baby is absolutely wonderful. I would give anything to go through pregnancy again. Thanks for reading! <3

me and my boyfriends been sexually active for about 6 months now, we have do not use any method of birth control, protection or even pulling out. my period has always been messed up, but for about a month it stopped. a few days ago i started bleeding it was a lot then it slowed down and stopped all of a sudden. today while having sex it started again, its not a lot of bleeding. for a couple weeks my boyfriend and i have been thinking i was pregnant. ive had cravings for stuff i wouldn't usually eat, my breast have gotten really big & my auroras around them have gotten really dark brown. my stomach & breast have been itching & they are getting really dry. i get this odd feeling in my lower abdominal and a really bad sharp pain. i get headaches all the time, early in the mornings i get a nausea feeling to my stomach & ive obviously gained weight in my stomach. i just get the feeling that im pregnant. im always feeling weak or achy. when i pee it really hurts & feels like something is pushing down on my stomach and i always feel like im going to pee.

Could I be Pregnant?having weird feelings(like pressure or like it would feel if i were to grab my side) in my right side around the area of my appendix.

I have been ttc now for about 3 months. My husband and I have been having unprotected sex almost everyday trying to increase our chances. My period is extremely off all the time. Usually the cycle is about 50 to 60 days( not sure if that is anywhere near normal since it should be 28). I have been having weird feelings(like pressure or like it would feel if i were to grab my side) in my right side around the area of my appendix. Also sometimes it is on the lower left side. I took a test and it was neg but i accidently urinated on the other side of the stick(meaning the spot where it tells whether you are pregnant or not was facing down). I don't know if that matters or not. Like I said i don't know when I am supposed to get my period, i think my last was about a month ago and it only lasted about 3 days. I am totally clueless here any help is better than none!

How soon after Mirena IUD removal can you get pregnant?

I had my IUD removed this month. Took a HPT and it showed a very faint line. Could I possibly be pregnant. We are trying for baby #4. Any answers would be helpful.
