Trying to get pregnant with inverted cervix.

i have been trying to get pregnant for 14 months and nothing. my doctor has said that i have PID, but that turned in to a suspicious spot on my cervix for cancer. but he said that i have to wait 4 to 6 months and go back to him to see if it has grown and to make sure that it's not. but while he was doing the cancer biopsy, he found out that my cervix was inverted. my question is, can i still get pregnant with all this going on?

PCOS HPV and PID

hello. I have had PCOS since I was 13, but I do have one child now. I have been taking metformin for my PCOS. I currently found out that I have HPV and have had 2 colposcopys (sp?) I also just got treated for having PID because of over-growth of bacteria, I have never had an STD before HPV. Can you please tell me what my chances on getting pregnant are and when I decide that I do want a baby, what things can I do to increase my chances of getting pregnant.

Help On Pregnancy After PID

I Was Diagnosed With PID Last May.. It Was Severe. Almost Resulting In Death. My First Gynecologist Said That It Was Going To Be Impossible To Get Pregnant Because Something About One Of My Ovary And Tubes Is REALLY Damaged. Then, My Second Gynecologist Said Not To Believe The First Gynecologist Because I could Still Get Pregnant.

I'm 18 years old. And My Fiance And I Really Want A Baby We've Been Trying For 3 Months And Yet Nothing.

Everyone Else Is Having The Easiest Time Getting Pregnant.

We Are Surely Able To Take Care Of The Baby. Emotionally and Financially.

Can Anyone Please Help Me With Any Piece Of Information..

Blocked Fallopain Tubes

My doctor told me that I had a pelivc inflammation disease and put me on doxycycline and cipro and I took that for 14 days. He said that would help get pregnant, but I've been reading that that cause blocked fallopain tubes. I'm not sure if I need to see if he can send me for a HSG test. He also put me on clomid to see if I could get pregnant. If in fact my fallopain tubes are blocked is there anything that can be done to unblock them? Thanks

PID scarring and round ligament pain

Hi, I am 30 weeks pregnant and having terrible pain in my left lower abdomen. I had a very severe case of PID, clamydia and cysts all at the same time in the yearr 2000. I was told that I had about a 30% chance of ever conceiving. I had a lot of scarring and tissue built up. Now that I beat the odds I am wondering how long this pain will persist? It is at a constant 5 on a scale from 1-10 and jumps up to an 8 often. I am laying down with heat and have cut out almost all activity. However, the pain is so bad. I am just wondering if this is commen with scarring and what I can do. I have been taking prescribed tylenol but even that doesn't seem to help. I hope you can shed some light on my situation. Thankyou.

Got a 2nd opinion

I posted a few days ago with TTC HISTORY PLEASE HELP this is the latest update......Got a 2nd opinion....This is wat the doc said.....It wasnt gr8 news tho it also wasnt bad news.

He said that he believes that my gyno is treating me correctly and that he would also treat me in the same way. With clomid but he wouldnt of made me miss a cycle especially with how irregular my cycles are and how bad my pcos and endo is.

He said that from all the tests results he has seen from whn I had my infection etc and from my last bloods and u/s he cant see any solid proof that the PID did majorly permanant demage. He said yes there more then likely is demage but believes that I should have an explority op to confirm that if I dont fall preggo in a few months. He told me with my history of being sexually assulted and the report I gave him from my counsellor that having a hsg might be tramatic that for my own comfort that the op would be best for me as he could also laser any possible endo that may be casing issues.

He also said that having hcg shots each month would probly be benifical to me as even whn I am ovulating on clomid my bloods arent the best.

He said that I should continue taking clomid and metformin and having my wkly bloods and u/s done. And that bf should get his sa done asap but understood shanes issue with getting that done as he had the same problem. He said if we wanted to take a break then that would probly be best after this cycle so as they can see if my body is working the way it should with the clomid now after the infection.

He said that I did a brave thing steping up and arranging counselling and that some of my issues with my health was probly caused by the fact I was bottling stuff up etc. So he said that in away Im treating my infertility thru counselling.

He did warn me however that there is a very real chance that my tubes are badly demage. But he said that if that was the cause he would be willing to operate for free and see if he could repair them. Tho if he cant then our only opinion would be ivf....but fingers crossed it wont cometo that.

He told me to keep my appt with my origanal gyno and he would forward a recommondation to him on how to treat me and if my current gyno did not put in place his recommondations he would try to arrange away for him to take me on as a full time patient as he usually charges $550 and today he saw me for free as his receptionst told him how we where struggling and couldnt afford private health issurence.

He said that he had dealt with my gyno before with making recommandations and that usually he did follow those. So heres hoping his right.....

So the plan now is: To do this cycle with the help of clomid and counselling. So as we can see if my body is going to ovulate again now Im on clomid or weather its not ovulating coz of demage from PID. Then if thigs havent improved we are going to have 2 definate months with out fertility treatment and monitoring cycles and then reaccess the situation....

Im feeling positive about this plan. Like I finally found where Im on the map and what way I need to go.....

What do you think dr q? Any advice, questions I should ask etc?

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Can you get PID from bacteria other than that of Clamydia or Gonnerea (sp?)? I am having horrible abdominal/pelvic pain. I would say it is just cramps, but my periods are irregular (they are about 60-75 days apart)and I never get cramps when I do eventually start my period, not to mention these pains have been there on and off since end of July/ beginning of August. I went to my doctor about it, but she told me it was just menstral cramps take some aleve and they would go away in a few days. Well here I am 4 months later with pain so bad at times I cannot move. I've had PID before when I was 16/17, doctor said it was caused by Claymidia, but I was not sexually active and this (to me) feels like PID.

I'm going to make an appointment with a Gyno for sometime this upcoming week, is there anything I can do now to help with the pain I am experiencing(the pain is all over my abdomin, not confined to one area, and its sometimes dull ,but mostly like someone is stabbing me with a knife), I've never been to a GYNO and am kind of nervous, is there anything I should know before hand? Would you happen to know the basic cost of a GYNO appointment? My husband and I are on a tight budget and don't have health insurance so all would be out of pocket.

Sorry I droned on and on.
PID and infertility question, please HELP!

I recently was diagnosed with PID caused by my very own bacteria. After taken the antibiotics for 2 weeks(my husband included), and abtaining, we began having intercoarse and proceeded trying to concieve again. Even 2 days after the finished antibiotics, I'm still feeling dull sensitivity in my lower right side. Not pain, but I'm fearing that thats what it will become real soon. I cryed myself to sleep last night fearing not only did the antibiotics not take, but now I'm almost positive I have fallopian tube damage which is causing the unexplained infertility. I know this because I have gotten all the hormone tests, including ultrasounds for diagnosing PCOS and all came back normal and clean. I can't sleep at night anymore, and me and my husband have been trying for 7 months to become pregnant. I have never been pregnant before. My question is this, since I'm believing the PID did not cure all the was which this will now be my 2nd PID infection, are my chances of becoming pregnant naturally slim to none? Would I need to result to IVF if I ever want to concieve?! Please help me, this is tearing up my soul!

Possible PID??

Hello Doc! This is my first time on this site. I really hope you can help me. Ok here's my story.....

I have had chlamydia twice. First time I had it for about 4 months and didn't know it, the second time I only had it for a few weeks. I also had trichomoniasis recently that I believe I had for about 6 months and didn't know it(no symptoms)....So I got treated for that as well...My husband and I have been TTC for a year and 5 months now. We are seeing an RE right now and my husband is fine. I go for my HSG in two weeks and I'm scared half to death. I've read that undiagnosed or untreated chlamydia can lead to PID. I never thought I had it before because I never had any symptoms but then I read that it can be silent, especially if I had silent chlamydia. So I guess my question is, what are the odds that I have PID and don't know it?? and what are the odds that one episode of PID could cause me to be infertile?? The thought that I might never be able to have children really scares me...I know that with IVF and IUI that all things are possible but I know that my only hope of conceiving if I have blocked or scarred tubes is thru IVF and the cost is very discouraging!!!

I spoke with my Gynecologist about possibly having PID and she told me that my RE would be able to diagnose me with it by an HSG but I was under the impression that if you had PID you weren't supposed to have the HSG done because it could make the infection worse....So, needless to say I'm not getting the cooperation from my doctor..and I was told that generally because PID is so hard to diagnose, that they usually give you the regimen of antibiotics just in case...but my doctor won't do it! On top of that, I've been abnormally bleeding for 2 months now(sometimes spotting, sometimes light bleeding) even when I'm not on my period and it just makes me even more scared it is PID...she said that once I took all of the antibiotics for the Trich that the bleeding would go away but it hasn't. So any advice you have would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
