need help from a doctor if possible!!! :(

I am currently on cd 124. I cannot go to the doctor for another week to two weeks due to a problem with my insurance. I called to see if I need to make an appointment or not (as I have irregular cycles regularly lasting up to 4 months). I was told that I could have a cyst and that the doctor will want to do ultrasounds as well as blood work. I want to be prepared for anything, so I started looking into the symptoms of cysts, and found that I do not have most of the typical symptoms short of irregular cycles and a hormone imbalance. I have been charting on fertility friend, here is my chart... http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/21807d

The symptoms that I have had since ovulation (or when fertility friend says I ovulated) have been...

nausea in the first 2 weeks after ovulation (which is a typical pms symptom for me however, it has returned several times since)

frequent urination (which seems to happen more frequently with time)

tender nipples (until about a week ago when it started to diminish)

adversion to certain foods (due to becoming nausous from the smell)

headaches (mostly in the last week)

emotional (more so than usual)

feeling bloated (since about a week or so after ovulation)

Weight gain (6 lbs)

decreased appetite (first few weeks after ovulation)

increased appetite (last 3 or so weeks)

spotting (lightly only after wiping on several occasions usually after intercourse (which was not rough) sorry tmi)

I took 4 hpt's a week apart from each other in July and all were negative. I have not taken one since then.

I was on birthcontrol until December 2007 when I married my husband. I know that there is a possibility that I could be having a late period due to my body still trying to regulate after coming off the medication.

I am really worried, but as I said, I cannot go see a doctor for about 2 weeks or so, so I am trying to reasearch on the internet. I am keeping an open mind about what could be going on, however, I would like it if someone would be able to point me in the right direction to do my reasearch.

I have not been diagnosed with pcos, and have never been diagnosed with a cyst. I had an abnormal pap in may and need to do a repeat, I have a slightly increased testerone level, as well as a lower than normal estrogen level, but no obvious symptoms, and the only pain I get is breast pain occasionally, as well as slightly larger that normal breasts lately, and a slight pelvic discomfort (not pain) on occasion.

I greatly apprieciate any help that can be given, I hate worrying about what is going on.

Possibility of a second LH surge?

Hi,

I am just wondering if there is any chance that I could have a second LH surge within my cycle. I had a surge that lasted for about 4 days but was not enough to register a positive on a OPK. Dr. Eva thinks there may be a small possibility that I have PCOS, so I am going to check with my doc about this. In the mean time I am wondering if there is any point in continuing to test for an LH surge. I am on CD23 today and the last of my surge was about 4-5 days ago.

breast leakage

I have breast leakage often, and am wondering what may be causing it. My Dr. doesn't seem to think anything of it. He says some people just have that. So, my questions are:

-Is it normal? (I have PCOS)

-Does it hurt my chances of pregnancy?

- Should I find a different doctor?

Lupron depot than clomid.... Please advise

I'm a woman who doesn't ovulate normally due to PCOS and endometriosis. Currently I am doing three months of lupron depot than once I start my period my doctor is giving me 100 mg of clomid days 2-6. My question is since I didn't ovulate for several months before and during the lupron, could the clomid cause more eggs to develop than normal? My doctor told me I must be very careful that I could have twins or more. BUT... as I would love twins, I think it would be hard on my body and hard on me after delivery and that is not the outcome I want. But since I have severe endometriosis, my doctor says 100mg is the right dose for me starting out. Is my doctor right, am I really at risk? Or should I not worry about it?

Prolactin question for one of the docs...

I've known I've had elevated prolactin levels for 3 years now (misdiagnosed as PCOS about 5 years ago. Anywho.

Before conceiving my daughter, I was on bromocriptine and levels were well managed and regular menses returned (prior to this, I had 3-4 periods/year). I breastfed my daughter for 7 1/2 months... had and oversupply and therefore had enough milk stored thru 14 months.

After BF, bromocriptine dose tripled from before Mia and still no return of menses and horrible side effects set in. I was switched to cabergoline (dose landed at 2 pills, twice per week), which brought results... levels regularly under 8 and menses returned, and ovulation was detectable thru OPK's. But not pregnancy. I thought that since we conceived within 3 cycles after being put on bromo.

Here's my question: Why do I still leak? I have milk in both breasts and haven't pumped/BF in at least 17 months and do not do any nipple stimulation. Prolactin level is normal, periods are regular. It's definitely milk, not colostrum. I do have large breasts (G cup), if that makes any difference.

Your thoughts please? Should I be pursuing this issue further with my pitutary endo? I'm doing fertility treatment with my OB/GYN since RE appointments are nearly 2 months out at this point.

Anovulation

Hi,

I am wondering what could be causing me to have anovulatory cycles. I have been using OPK's for the last two months and in both those months have not managed to get a positive. The tests will start to show a surge and never actually register positive before going back to showing nothing again. I always have EWCM around the time of the mini surge and last month I was also using a fertility microscope that showed ferning about two days after the darkest test. My cycles are irregular and can last anywhere from 30 - 45 days. Oh and I have also been on 50mg of clomid for the last two months. When I have done the progesterone test they always want to take them on CD21 and I don't usually show signs of ovulation until CD20-22. However they tell me the progesterone tests show positive for ovulation. How can this be? Sorry, this is so long... I look forward to hearing your reply.

HEAVY Period, THICK LINING

dh and I have been ttc for over a year now. I was diagnosed w/PCOS last December. Sice then have been prescribed Prometrium and glucophage. The last 90 days I had been on my period for 75 of those days. Saw my DR. again, she prescribed a month of birthcontrol. My period was finally starting to lighten up, then I beg week three of the pills and the it seemed as if the bottom fell out. I have been having a horrificly heavy period, sorry for being so graphic, however I am wearing a pad and super tampon and must change them out every hour and a half or two (if I'm lucky). This has been going on for a solid week. Also, I am passing HUGE amounts (aprrox. inch and a half long by 3/4 to 1 inch wide) of lining EACH time I switch out my products. Spoke w/DR. said to finish taking pills, minus sugar pills, go one full week w/no meds then start on 200mg of prometrium for 12 days. I'm scheduled to see her on Sept. 4 (I will have only been on the prometrium for 3 days at that point). She told me not to worry and didn't seem too concerned w/ them amount of what I was passing but this just seems ridiculous to me. Could this be because I had not had regular periods for the past 7 years (I would usually have one once every 3 or four months). Please give me your honest opinion! I just need some guidance. Thanks for your time.

spotting

I have been spotting for over 3 months now, and it is REALLY annoying! After the first month, the Dr. put me on Yaz, but it has not helped at all. I also now have cramping to go with the spots! I talked to the nurse, and she says that it is perfectly normal for me, because I have PCOS. Is it normal just because of PCOS? Will the bleeding ever stop? What can I do to make it go away? I also have cysts. What can I do to make them go away, or at least deal with the pain caused by them. I can't get in to see the dr. until Oct.! I am worried about anemia. My mother had bleeding for almost 4 months, and had to have a hysterectomy because of anemia!

PCOS

I was just diagnosed with PCOS. The doctor said that my testosterone's levels should be no higher than a 30 and I am at a 33. She put me on birth control. My concern is when I am ready to conceive how hard will it be and is there something I can do now that will better my chances? She also stated that this might come about due to my weight gain.

Starting journey for number 2!

I was diagnosed with PCOS early in 2002. After my engagement in early fall of the same year, we discussed trying for children since we knew it would be more difficult. I rarely get my period on my own, so I was put on a Progestin and Clomid. By month 4 of trying with these medications, my dose of Clomid was increased. By month 5, we had pretty much decided to take a break. I started getting some cramping and horrible pain in my left ovary. I was use to the cysts, but this was worse. I went in to the doctor where she discovered I had ruptured a cyst, but also, that I was pregnant. I had to go back 2 days later for another blood test to make sure everything was good. I had a successful pregnancy of a beautiful baby boy in 2003. For the last year, we have discussed at length trying for another child. After not getting my period since October of 2007 and changes with insurance, I was finally able to get back in with my old OB/GYN. Yesterday I started my first dose of Medroxyprogesterone to hopefully induce a menstrual cycle after which I will go two months on birth control pills. After those two months, I am to try immediately to conceive. If within the 2 months following the BC I don't conceive and/or don't menstrate, I will be put back on Clomid. I am hoping to start of next year with a baby on board!
