I am not ten weeks pregnant and was taking 20mg of paxil but I have cut it down to 10mg starting today. I really don't think that I can be off of it. I have tried before and cannot sustain the anxiety. Is my baby going to be okay or will it have problems??? I have been taking Zoloft (50mg) for the past 5-6 years. I told my specialist about this when I first started seeing him back in August. He said taking zoloft is fine but once we concieve I would need to go off of it. Well I tried cutting my dose down to 25 mg and somedays are ok and then other are awful. Today for example I feel dizzy and my eyes feel all weird and I have had bad headaches (this is the same way I feel if I by accident I skip a dose one day). I took the other half (25mg) a little while ago and already feel better. Is this common? I feel this is a hard drug to come off of. What do you suggest I do? I'm going to my doctor for my first ultrasound on Friday but I am wondering does this drug hurt the development of my baby?
