Difficulty getting pregnant

Hello. I miscarried my first pregancy in June 2008. It is now November and for the past 4 months I have been testing mid cycle with ovulation predictor kits. I have not received a positive test. I am having regular periods every 26 - 28 days. What could be the reason for not ovulating and is there anything I can do/or take to get things back on track? Thanks Yvette

question about ovulating and EWCM

I have found some differing opinions about this. I hope my question makes sense.

Ok, so I know that you don't HAVE to have EWCM to ovulate. I know that some people don't get the EWCM and they still ovulate.

BUT my question is, if you have EWCM, does that mean that you definitely ovulated? Like can you have EWCM and NOT ovulate??

I have cm typically starting around cd12 and then around cd 14-16 I have ewcm. Does that mean that I am ovulating?? Or can I have ewcm like that and NOT be ovulating???

Just curious.

Trying to conceive number 2....

So I guess I will finally get around to posting my journey. My husband and I have a beautiful, healthy 10 month old little girl, Abigail Noelle. She is such a miracle to me because I have 45-50 day cycles and do not always ovulate. We knew it would be tricky to have babies so we got started...lo and behold there she was...the FIRST month we tried!!! She is such an amazing little person and we feel so blessed to have her!

We wanted to try for our 2nd one so we could have them close together and also because we knew we were truly blessed with how quickly we were able to conceive Abigail. We began trying for another little blessing around April or May. I was still nursing so this proved to be a little tricky. I quit nursing in July and had one period. 55 days later still no period... I went to my OB and he started me on progesterone. My body is having a hard time regulating since having my little girl and given my history it is taking even longer than most women. I have had one period on progesterone and am currently taking my second round. I take 10 mg for 10 days. When I get this period my doctor will start me on Clomid. He first wanted me to have 2 full periods. Ironically, I was set to start Clomid the month after I found out I was pregnant with Abigail and never had to use it =). I am a little nervous but have been doing my homework and it seems safe! I can't wait for these 7 more days of provera to be up so Aunt Flo can pay me a visit and we can start ovulating again =) Hee hee...I never thought I would be so anxious to get my period!

Could I be Ovulating??

Hi Dr.Q and Ladies,

I have a question for all of you. Jake is 3 weeks old today! And all day yesterday and this morning I have been having a aching sensation on my right ovary. I'm wondering if I could be ovulating? Or if it could be a cyst? I have pcos so I rarely ovulate on my own. I'm wondering if it could be a cyst? Are cysts common to get after delivery? Also my boobs have been achy also. This started yesterday too. What do you girls think? Is it common to ovulate this soon after delivery or do you think it could possibly be a cyst? Thanks Dr.Q and ladies!

CONFUSED about progesteron results! HELP please :(

Ok,so I went into my ob on cd15 and had a follicle screen, I had only 1 follicle on the right side that was 1 1/2 cm. My dr. wasn't impressed, but others have said that was an ok number. Later that day I got a positive OPK, VERY DARK, and the next morning as well. So I assumed I o'd within the next 24 hours or so. So I went for a progesterone blood test on Friday afternoon. I was cd21, 7days since I got a positive OPK. I got the results today and the nurse said it DIDN"T look like i ovulated!!! Now im completely confused!!!! Is it possible to get a positive opk, and then not ovulate? Or is it possible that I ovulated and it didn't show on teh progesterone test? is there ANY hope for this cycle? or is all hope gone now?

Another piece of information.. I have been to the ER twice since friday due to SEVERE pain in my abdomen. I free moving fluid in my abdomen, they think that the cyst I had on my right ovary ruptured, causing the fluid. So I am supposed to go for another ultrasound later this week, thursday or friday to see if it cleared up on its own. I have PCOS, and have been on metformin for 2 months, and used provera to start af this cycle, followed by 50 mg of clomid days 3 - 7.

If you can give me any info, I would soooo appreciate it! Just wondering if all hope is lost for this cycle! :(

can ANYONE Dr or not, answer this??

Attention any Dr. or anyone with experience with follicles/ ovulation...

Can you answer a question for me, to the best of your ability. I haven't had this question answered yet and I'm very curious.

I was put on clomid for the first time this month. CD3-7 @ 50 mg by my OBGYN in order to make me ovulate since I've been ttc for 3 years.

I've had BW u/s and other tests done, everything come back OK the reason I can't conceive is thought to be non ovulation due to my irregular cycles (mostly long, around 30-34 days sometimes short though around 16 days, overall very irregular)

I went in for my CD12 u/s and I had follicles in each ovary however my Dr said they were small for CD12 (all ranging under 1 cm) He said given the sizes of my follicles I most likely will not ovulate this cycle.

My question is: Is it possible that I will still Ovulate this cycle given the fact that clomid makes some womens cycles longer and makes them ovulate later than ususal? Normally my cycles average at 31 days without clomid. Is it possible that I am just a late ovulater and my follicles were so small on cd 12 b/c I may not ovulate until around cd 20? I guess what Im asking is, even though my follicles were less than 1 cm on cd 12 is it possible they could still keep maturing and I could just ovulate later due to that?

Im sure my Dr expected me to ovulate around cd 14 or 15, and if thats the case then of course my follicles werent big enough yet.

I need to know if you know any information on how fast follicles can grow or mature and if you think in 7-9 days then can grow another cm to reach 2 cm and allow me ovulate?

I appreciate ANY comment or information reguarding this, its a big concern of mine as I really hope this month on clomid was not a waste.

Thank you.

TTC#1 maybe TMI.....

Hi everyone! I am new to this so I guess I will introduce myself. I am 22 and TTC #1 with my husband who is 38. He already has 3 kids so I am guessing it is my fault we haven't conceived yet, we've been trying since January.

For the past few days I have been very wet. Yesterday when I stood up I felt something run down my leg so I ran to the bathroom and there was a creamy like white discharge, kinda lotiony. Could this be a sign that I am ovulating? I don't think so b/c by my calculations I should have already ovulated this month and my period should be here on the 25. I had been having cramps so bad that they kept me up a couple of nights. The pain was in both sides but moreso in the right side. I am still cramping but they feel more like little pinches. Do you think this is a sign of ovulation or my dreaded af?

Thanks for any advice!

Also do I have to wait a year before I go to the MD to check my fertility?

Is there a doctor in the house #2

How can I tell my only problem from P.C.O.S is not ovulating:: I've been having unprotected sex laying still after sex for up to 45 mintues I've used a pilloew under me:: I had an ultra sound it came back negative:: I was fine:: Then I had blood work done and they diagnosed me with P.C.O.S:: I'm finding a new OBGYN but when I go into the office I want to be able to tell if she is just pushing me around or really helping me.Because of my last 3 doctors have done nothing for me. My last period was only 2 days long it was 9/11/08-9/12/08 It ended basically the night of 9/12/08. That means I have an irregular period right? I remember I use to have periods for at least 4-5 days not only 2. Yeah so I was wondering if my problem is irregular period and not ovulating. I've tryed BBT to and nothing has showed for 5 months. So it seems im not ovulating I feel like I have to be my own doctor. I can't go to an RE because Pennsylvania insurance is not recommened to cover infertility, the lowest price I have found is $300.00 And from what I can tell Im gonna need to go often so I def. don't have the money for that. & if im correct about what is wrong then what would you suggest so that I have some type of idea about what to ask for. So anyone who can answer me I greatly appreciate it Thank-You Alyssa Mae

Hi, i am ovulating normally, but there is another reason why i would like to take Clomid: i would like to have twins, as i found this Soo cute..

Can anyone tell me some suggestions how to explain this to a doctor , as they are sometimes very- too serious- on the matter. "Clomid is only for people that doesn't ovulate.. etc"

Normal Period and Pregnancy?

I had a miscarriage and I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks. My period was little cramping and 2 days of normal bleeding with one day of nothing with 2 days of normal bleeding with one day of nothing followed by 1 day of period ending spotting. I think I might be pregnant but I'm not sure. I usually use a green or super pad and never use anything more or less until this week when I had to use a yellow or regular pad. My breast were a bit sore and tingly which never happens. I had it 2 days before I ovulated which was 2 weeks ago. I just really feel that I am. I am due for hsg in 4 days and I know that I can't be pregnant to take it. Please Help.

Signed: Hoping Badly
