I was scheduled to do an IUI this month was my follicles have matured. My husband is no longer comfortable with the process and my IUI will be canceled. Do I continue with the ovidrel and progesterone or now do we just do everything "naturally"?

When to BD after taking ovridel injection?

I had a day 12 scan today which showed a follicle at 19mm.I was given the ovridel injection and told to BD tomorrow.The only thing is we got told to BD every other day from cd 10,so cd 10,12,14 etc.So we should be BD'ing tonight really.So what do you all think?To bd tonight and tomorrow or just tomorrow?please help im confused and dont want to miss the egg!!

Hello, I just have 1 question. I have kept the ovidrel shot for about 3 months in the refrigerator. I was supose to use it last month but didn't go well last cycle. I was wondering if the ovidrel would still be effective after 3 months in the refridgerator? Or if I would need to get a new one.

Ok Dr.Q so I know that when I go on the 7th to my appt and after other appts my due date is subject to change. I took trigger on the 12th of Oct and my period was due(maybe the 29th of Oct, it's irregular so not certain),so would my due date be July 7th then? Ovulation after Ovidrel is like 36hrs later right? I know this is a silly question, but I'm just curious Doctor Q!

OPKs and Ovidrel?

I did the trigger shot Ovidrel last night. I was just curious about using OPKs during this time. I did one last night and this morning and there isn't even a faint line. When taking ovidrel will I get a +OPK or does the shot interfere with the OPK readings? I'm just worried that maybe the trigger didn't work well. THANKS

I did blood work yesterday, When my BETA came back she said its positive and that my #s was good and high. It was 1195. My last visit from A/F on 09/26/08. Started taking Clomiphene Citarte 50 2xs a day from 9/27-10/01/08. I had my ovidrel shot @ 9pm 10/07/08. I had my IUI on 10/09/08. According to the ladies here doc I'm only 4 weeks and a few days. I prayed for twins. My question(s) is/are my #s to high to be so early? or were my prayers answered

OMG, the bloating (Clomid+Ovidrel)

Man, it's BAD this month. It's my 4th month on Clomid, but the first month at 100mg. I took my Ovidrel trigger last night and I swear, I feel like my ovaries have weights tied to them... Standing up more than a couple minutes really becomes uncomfortable.

I'll be quite happy to ovulate in teh next 12 hours. This is the most uncomfortable I've been!

I have my IUI tomorrow morning. I've got some good eggs brewin', I just hope hubby has some good swimmers!!! (we have male factor infertility)

My friend got a faint BFP this morning at 12DPO. She took her Ovidril shot 13-14 days ago..cant remember which one. SHe is flipping out b/c she thinks this is left over from teh Ovidrel shot. Can it be from the shot or is this is for her? This was her first cycle on meds and IUI, she has been TTC for 1 year.

Dr Q I want to know if I took on the 12th at 2am ovidrel, when is the soonest I'll get a "REAL" positive pregnancy test?! The Ovidrel left my body 10days post trigger(ovidrel shot)that's when I got a negative pregnancy test showing that my Ovidrel shot has left my body. Can you tell me when I can test the earilest? I'm expecting af on the 29th (if this cycle is not irregualr).

Ok Let me say this in advance...lol...

I was not taking an HPT for an answer to if I was preggo. I took one at 3dpiui to see a BFP, as a visulization tool! (yea I am a lil nutty lol)

It was NEGATIVE! I would have thought it was still in my system? I gave the shot in my thigh...did I do something wrong? Could I have metabloized it this fast? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Hello,

First let me explain my situation. I had an HSG June 30, 2008. When the finding came back, it showed I had some kind of blockage. However my tubes were open and clear. To confirm my doctor preformed a watersono on Tuesday, September 9,2008. I was then scheduled for surgery Friday, September 19, 2008. He removed what was causing the blockage. On Friday, September 26,2008 A/F came to visit. On Saturday, September 27, 2008 I was giving a prescription for Clomiphene Citrate 50 to be taken 2xs a day for a week. I reported back to the doctor on Saturday, October 4th, 2008 and was told I had 4 eggs. A follow up appointment on Tuesday October 7th 2008 showed I had 2-3 more eggs on the left. I received a prescription for Ovidrel Prefilled Syringe and Progesterone Suppositories. I was to inject myself at about 9pm that night. My IUI was scheduled for Thursday, October 9th 2008 @6:30am. I was also to start the progesterone suppositories that night. On Friday, October 10, 2008 I took a home pregnancy test (just because), it came back with 2 lines. One was lighter then the other. On Sunday, October 12, 2008 I took another home pregnancy test, and that also had 2 lines. I took another home pregnancy test on Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 and it came back negative. I'm now 7 days past my IUI now.I'm schedule to see my doctor on Saturday, October 25, 2008 to do a blood test to see if I’m actually pregnant.

I did 2 HPT's on 10/20/08 BFP's. Thought I was crazy and did 2 more on 10/21/08 BFP's. Still figuring I'm seeing things took another 1 10/22/08..BFP....WOOHOO!!!!

I'm currently 13DPIUI.

P.S. I have all the symptoms: cramping, gas, ect. and now the runs...uuugg

Ok so on the 12th at 2am I took 3 of theses:(Ovidrel)and I took it so early in the morning because my dh wasn't going to be away for awhile during my cycle and we didn't want to miss the egg. Ok and today the 21st 9 days after I took my Ovidrel shot I took a test that looks like this: (this hpt measures 10-15 hcg supposibly)so my question is...is this a fasle postive hpt or the real deal? I'm going to keep testing soon, but I want to know how long does it take for the trigger to be out of my system? I've heard diffrent amounts of time and what to know what you all think. Thank you ahead of time!!!!

Natural IUI

I wanted to know if anyone has had an natural IUI? Also did it work? If you ovulated did you still need the ovidrel shot? I was going to have one done but I couldnt get the shot of ovidrel in time. If we have the money we will be doing the natural IUI next month or in a few months.

We found ourselves in a pinch this month. We have been spending thousands on trying to conceive since June 2008.

On top of the every day expenses of us living and then we also take care of my parents house, car etc because my dad is bedridden and in complete kidney failure and my mom is disabled. They live only off of my dad's Police Retirement.

Anyway, I am currently on Cycle Day 5 with my 3rd round of Clomid and I have a doctors appt on Thursday (Oct 23rd) where they will decided when I need to do the Ovidrel shot to make me ovulate and then do the IUI.

This is the last cycle they are letting me do and it would figure that we dont have the cash this week for the ovidrel and without it this cycle will fail.

I know it is a big request but if anyone has an ovidrel they can send me before Thursday (oct 23rd) I would be forever grateful...

I'm 7 days past IUI. I did it on 10-9-08. I took a HPT and it came back with a BFN(-). Since it came back with a BFN(-) I'm assuming that the OVIDREL is out my system. Is it still to early to test? From what I've googled they say implantation can occur at 8DPO/IUI. Did it not take? I really want/need to know.

early ovulation & IUI

I use the OVACUE to predict my ovualtion. It measures saliva & vaginal secretions. It has a setting for clomid too....

It says my highest fertilty day is the 13th cd. My RE says I will not Ovulate until AFTER he sees me on the 14th. Then I will give myself the Ovidrel shot & perform the IUI in 36 hours. For the last 3 months, I have ovulated on the 12th CD. Re does not think it is possible for me to Ovulate on the 13th.

So...If I get there on CD14 & I have actaully ovulated on CD13, what will they do? Will I miss this cycle? CD14 is a sunday, & I do not think there will be anyone there to wash my husband's sperm. I dont want to be too pushy, but I am afraid I am going to miss this cycle & my goal is to be pregnnant before I am 40!

Hello Everyone :.) I have had my 1st IUI. I was on Clomiphene for 5 days starting from September 18th - the 22nd 2008. My Dr. saw 2 mature eggs sept, 29th Monday, @ 10:30 that night my hubby gave me the trigger ovidrel shot & Wednesday October 1st 2008 10am sperm washing & 11am I did the IUI.

I'm now on my 2ww & I think I'm about to go crazy ! He has me taking vaginal progerterone, which may delay my period so The wait is a little stressful. I'm scheduled to see my Dr. October 17th for my blood Test. This would be the beginning of my Journey, my first IUI and I hope this one works!
