Lowered Ovarian Reserve and IVF

I'm 32 and was recently diagnosed with lowered or poor ovarian reserve. I am going to do IVF next month but I understand that the success rate for someone with my diagnosis is lower than others in my age group. If anyone has a positive experience with a similar situation please share. I would love to read about them.

Lowered Ovarian Reserve and IVF Success Rate

I'm 32 and have been seeing an RE since July. Last month I had an FSH level of 20 on CD 3 and was diagnosed with lowered ovarian reserve. At that time my RE said he would repeat BW next cycle to determine if we would do IVF. Today CD3 BW came back with an FSH of 15 so I will be starting IVF in December. What are the success rates for someone with my diagnosis? If I get eggs is my success rate any different from others in my age group? Does it bode well for me that my progesterone levels from last month showed that I ovulated without stimulation (altough I did not get pregnant).

Dr. or ladies, is this pain normal in pregnancy?

Hello, I am a little over 9 weeks pregnant. I have endometriosis and used to get an ache type pain in my thighs and groin during my periods. I hadn't had that pain since the pregnancy however, I have it today (It is not near a missed period date). At my u/s at 6 weeks 5 days they noted an ovarian cyst and fibroids and said they didn't think they were a concern but would keep an eye on them. Is this pain normal? Is it something I should worry about or contact my doctor about? Thanks!

Possible Ovarian Cyst

Hubby and I have been TTC since my last cycle 10/19, which only lasted 3-4 days and we BDing since then minus a couple days here and there. 11/10 i woke up feeling like i already had my AF but i didnt. tues. same thing..Wed..cramps turned into aches..lower abd. and back. Upper stomache felt like i was punched, sort of a indigestion feeling..Thurs..i got Nausea 9pm and Fri.(last night) a lil after 9pm more nausea..and this morning 'still' nausea..i went to docs thinking of bladder infection cause since Thurs. i also been peeing alot more but no other signs of infection..my docs say my urine came out normal..a preg. test came out Neg. but she says its possible its too early to be detected...she also said if im not pregnant it could be a Ruptured Ovarian cyst...not sure exactly when i ovulated..my first cycle was 35 days post Ectopic pregnancy a lil over 3 months ago..so i cant really rely on CD 14 to ovulate. What do you think?

ovarian cysts

I am 19 years old, I have been dealing with ovarian cysts since I was 16 years old. I have had numerous ultrasounds and sonograms and they all continuously confirm one thing- that i have ovarian cysts. I have been on every type of birth control with horrible effects from each one. For two months now, I have been dealing with 8/10 pain in my lower abdomen and I have been bleeding for 9 straight days now. I am on tri-cyclen and my period is not suppose to even begin until two days from now. I am constantly taking pain killers, I can't be active or i'll rupture them. Got any idea what I should do?

Elevated FSH Level

CD 3 BW just revealed an FSH level of 20 and a low to normal estrogen level. I'm 32 and seeing an RE. Past 3 cycles revealed elevated estrogen levels and normal FSH levels. No cysts founf though, including today's utrasound. Clomid has not worked and this cycle's injectables and IUI Have been cancelled based on my BW results. What could this mean?

TTC after Laparoscopy...

Well I had my Lap, D&C & Hysterscopy done a couple days ago. I'm just at home recovering. The gas in my shoulders is aweful & it's difficult for me to breathe. The procedure took 1.5 hours.

So I decided to do the Lap because I had previous pelvic surgeries & thought there may be scar tissue & adhesions preventing me from getting pregnant even though all other tests showed healthy. Well I was right...there was a mess of adhesions & scar tissue. My doctor just kept saying there is a lot of "pathology" which I took as "damage". There was no way that the anatomical position of my female organs could have aided a pregnancy. He said my ovaries were stuck to the back of my uterus & I had a couple small cysts that were removed as well. He also drilled a couple holes in my ovaries to encourage ovulation.

He did the dye test to see if my tubes are open & the dye went through my right tube but he is not convinced that my left tube is open for sure. He basically said my option at this point is IVF since these adhesions will reoccur in 2-3 months.

I have a follow up appointment with him in 2 weeks. He will show me pictures of my surgery & we will discuss my options. Since it will probably take a month or two to get in for IVF, I will maybe try clomid & BD or IUI.

I am saddened at the prognosis, but at least I am no longer in the "unexplained" category. I can move on to IVF but a part of me is still holding out for a natural conception.

I will post more afer my follow up appt.

Conceiving naturally w/left ovarian cyst

Good day,

I'm a 24 y/o active healthy woman who keeps getting large ovarian cysts on my left ovary.

In 2005 I had an ultrasound which showed a large 4.0 x 3.2 cm complex, heterogeneously hypoechoic left ovarian cyst. Normal-appearing right ovary containing several small follicular cysts.

Due to my age at the time, my doctor put me on birthcontrol to stop ovulating. Then of April of this year, I went off birthcontrol and another large cyst appeared AGAIN on my left ovary....the next month, the blasted cyst was STILL THERE.

I work at a diagnostic center, so thankfully I have a lot of help as far as ultrasounds/technicians/rads.

Right before my cyst "explodes" I feel incredible amounts of pain and almost instantly when it releases itself, I feel better.

Some of the technicians said it may be hard to conceive naturally b/c of the cyst.

I thought a woman is suppose to ovualate every other ovary, but why does it feel/seem like my left ovary is doing all the work. Every month I feel pain on my left side--and sure enough, there is a cyst there.

I'm newly married and my husband and I would eventually like to have a baby, but I want to make sure things in that "dept" are in good shape before we try.

So my question is--Is it possible to conceive easily with a large, cyst, that keeps appearing on my left side?

**another tech told me that I may only be able to conceive every other month, when I'm ovulating from my R ovary--however I feel like that ovary doesn't do anything b/c I my left one is taking over.**

Thank you

Ovarian Cysts with Paragard IUD

I got my Paragard IUD May of this year and since September I have started getting Ovarian cysts. Currently I have 3 and 1 that has already ruptured. All the doctors do is give me pain meds and tell me that I have to wait them out? What should I do? Could my IUD be the cause? Should I have it removed? Thank you in advance.

Endometriosis and TTC

Hi

I am 30 years old female. I have been trying to conceive with my husband for 3 years. I had a submucous fibroid which was removed by laparoscopic myomectomy about 6 months ago. 3 months ago, I had a chemical pregnancy. I went to do u/s to follow up ovulation, but my doctor wrote in his report this:

"There is a 50 mm left adenexal unilocular cystic mass, distended with homogeneous low ecogenicity turbid fluid, almost keeping with being endometriotic"

I was devastated after reading this report, for I was just begining to hoping I will be able to conceive after the myomectomy. My question is:

1. Is this report sufficient to diagnose me as having endometriosis? Or is there a chance that it could be functional hemorrhagic ovarian cyst?

2. If I have endometriosis, is there any chance I can get pregant?
