is ok if i wasted a lil of my novarel (hcg)?

my nurse called me today and said to give myself my hcg injection. so i got it all prepared and after i stuck myself i realized that i didnt let all the air out of the syringe so i hurried and pulled it out of my skin and the medicine started squirting out and i wasted some...

is it ok that i didnt get my full dose? will i still ovulate in time?

my iui is scheduled for in the morning.

my follicles were 16, 15, and 14 today cd10. i take my hcg shot tomorrow night at 8:30pm. will my follicles continue to grow after the shot? im afraid they will not be mature enough for my iui friday...please help!

Hi Dr. Q and Ladies!!

I will be doing IVF and received all my meds. I have a few questions. I was out of town and my meds were all sent in a cooler to a family member's house. They placed everything in the fridge for me. I just took everything home and I am looking over everything. I know two meds: follistim and Lupron must be kept in the fridge but I also have progesterone oil and the novarel powder to mix with the solution. Since everything has been in the fridge should I keep it there or should I leave the progesterone oil and the novarel out of the fridge until it is mixed?

Need your opinion on this too please ....after meeting with the IVF nurse and given two choices of how to now use follistim for this new cycle, I decided that I would continue using the follistim pen as I did with my IUIs and NOT have the follistim in vials and mix with the menopur. Thought it would be easier than mixing and the follistim pen is so easy to use. When I received my meds I have a ton of small 75IU vials of follistim instead of the cartridge for the pen as we discussed. I will be taking 150IU of follistim and 150 menopur each night. Should I just deal with it and try to change it out?

Dr. Q: Another Novarel Trigger Shot Question

Is the trigger off my system? I had my trigger shot 10,000 units on 06/01, Retrieval on 06/03 and transfer on 06/08. Because I have been experiencing symptons of mild ohss from 6 days past transfer, which were increasingly getting worse, I decided to HPT today @ 10 days past 5 day transfer and got a strong HPT reading. Is it safe to say that I am pg? My beta will be on 6/23. Afer drinking a lot of Gatorade yesterday, my recent pains are decreasing! Also can I still continue taking the Estradiol 2 mg tabs until my beta? Thank you

A: You can, but you should wait 7-14 days after your last injection before the shot is out of your system. If you test too soon, you might get a false positive. Wait 14 days after a 10,000 IU injection, 10 days after a 5,000 IU injection, or 7 days after a 2,500 IU injection.

I triggered with 5,000 iu's of Novarel on the May 19th. How long should it take for it to leave my sytem? Should it already be gone?

I took my trigger shot at 8:30 tonight. I mixed 2cc of water with all the hcg powder. I then injected 1cc of hcg subcanteously. Will I ovulate before the retrieval on Wednesday at 8am? or Will the Lupron Depot keep me from ovulating? Will the hcg shot continue to mature my follicles?

Because of my estradiol and progesterone level being so low at 7dpo my doctor has put me on 2000units of Novarel at 3,5,7 and 9 days past my peak day. Does this signify that I am not ovulating on my own even though I get positive OPKs? And why so long after peak?
