How to interpret OPK results?

Hello there,

I started using an ovulation predictor (the one you urinate on) in order to track down my cycles. I stopped the pill in October and had my first normal cycle in Nov 14 and ended the 19th. I started testing with the ovulation slides on the 27 and got a negative result. I also got a negative on the 28. When I tested the 29 I got a positive slide but then the days that followed ( 30st, 1st, 2nd today) I got a negative.

I read the package and researched online but I'm not quite sure how to interpret the result. Are you supposed to get only one slide positive and that's your ovulation day? what does the negative slides indicate after you get one positive?

I have all the symptoms for ovulation, but the again, I stopped the pill in October. How long does it last? Is it only one day that you ovulate, or can you get pregnnat a few days after, if you try?

I would love to get pregnant. What are your expert suggestions?

question about control line on the opk

hello i am a little confuse i been taking opk on cd 13,14,15 i had two lines but not same color as the control line on cd16 i think i had a + both lines where the same color i took the test like 5 hours later to show dh it came out - you can't really see the line why is that? thank for taking the time out to read my question

Endometriosis, bicornuate uterus, and pregnancy??

How likely are you to get pregnant with all these??

I've got endometriosis and a true bicornuate uterus...

My cycles are usually between 30-35 days.

This month I'm currently on day 41.

I took a OPT on day 12 and it said I ovulated on day 14.

I've taken to pregnancy tests with the same result as always... negative.

I have no symptoms of starting my period yet? My chest usually starts hurting for a week before I start my period.... and this month nothing.

I'm suppose to go in on Day 3 of my period to do a bunch of hormone tests, but still nothing.

I'm so frustrated...

i have been on metformin for 3 months now i started aug 22 2008 i got my periods on set 19. oct 20 but so far this month i dont have nothing i ovulated right around the time my doc said i would but the only sign i have is lower backpain i am ttc an i am lost

Hi,

My last normal period stated on 1st August, I got married and stated having unprotected sex on August 16th.

My next period was due on Sep 1st but neve came until Sep 7th but it was very painful (so much so I could barely sleep at nght), bright red and tiny clots as opposed to the normal dark red and big clots and lasted a full week - For 2 weeks prior to this date, I had been having serious pregnancy symptoms - nausea, tender breasts etc .

My next period didn't come until 14th October and was dark brown and lasted 1 1/2 days.

It is now 20th November and I ahven't had any sign of a period but I have had slight back pain.

I have taken several HPTs over the last few months all of which have been negative...

My period is ususally normal and regular and this is concerning me as I have never had an irregular period since they first started!!

I am 17 dpo and have no signs of AF. I still have high temps, but I keep getting negative HPTs. I charted and used a fertility monitor so I know for sure when I ovulated. I am waiting the results from my blood test. If the blood test is negative could I still be pregnant? How often does that happen? And if I'm not pregnant why am I not getting AF?

i dont know whether am pregnant or not?the HCG kits r negative.i have minor cramps.PL REPLY SOON?

my last period date was 30 sep.i have minor cramps for the last few days.i feel like i am going to get period but not.lots of watery white discharge.sometimes thick.tested with HCG kit in mrg.but results r negative.but i feel i cud see a faint line in T.not fr sure or my hallucination.my breasts r soft and full.i have lite dizziness whenever i bend down.especially in the mrg.am i preg?or there any other ways to check.ppl say to see a doc.but they too test with this kit only?r can u find by any other means.for the past one yr i have not missed the periods.i have ir-regularly regular periods.i.e every 35 days i get my periods.PLS REPLY ASAP.I AM REALLY STRESSED.DRIVING ME CRAZY.(MY last sex date is 30 oct'08,3 times)I WANT TO BE PREG.....ANY ADVICES.....PLSSSSSSSSSSSS

My last cycle started on september 29. Iam two-three weeks late. i have had 2 faint positives, and 6 neg Hpts. I believe i had implantation about oct 23-24ish. (spotting both days. not a lot. just a little) Could i still be pregnant even though im getting mixed test results? what should i do?

So my last period was on Oct 2 and i had sex on my ovulation period i think so aleast that is what a calender said. So anyways i have had all the symtoms that a pregnancy can have a have a little boy so i do know that much. So i took a test a day after missed period neg. so i took another one on 6th and still is neg and i have also done a blood test on the 6th and it was also negative. i really hope i'm pregnant so what are my chances still and also has anyone ever had this many negatives and end of pregnant? Please help. and i'm not under much stress so please

CAN SOMEONE GET BFN FROM A BLOOD TEST AND IF AF DOESNT SHOW LIKE AFTER 10 DAYS TEST AGAIN AND GET BFP???

i have multiple cysts as well in both ovaries they r simple measuring less then 1.2cm.i been ttc from 3-4months

Hi. My name is Ashley and I am new to this site. I am 23 years old, married, and the mother of a 1.5yo girl. My husband and I aren't really TTC, but we're also not NOT trying. Anyway, I am confused right now because I had my last period on September 5th, and haven't had any spotting or bleeding or anything since that cycle. I have taken six tests since October 3rd, the most recent one today. They all were urine tests and all were negative. The one today was at the health clinic on my college campus and the nurse practitioner told me that since I weigh 266lbs and have mild unwanted facial hair and haven't had a period in two months that I must have PCOS. She didn't run any tests to prove this, but she told me that I should take progesterone for ten days to force a cycle. I wanted a blood test and/or an ultrasound to rule out any other possibilities, but they couldn't do those tests at the clinic so I told her I would consult with my husband and figure out what to do. My maternal and paternal grandmothers, a paternal aunt and a maternal aunt, my mother, my sister, and two cousins all have endometriosis, but the NP didn't think I could have that. I have had Trichimonis and Bacterial Vaginosis as a teenager but they were both treated right away. I know it is rare for a woman to test negative this late in pregnancy, but I do know of it happening. I have resigned myself to the idea that I am most likely not pregnant, but I am worried about what to do now. I don't want to take random medication to treat an issue if that is not what is really wrong with me. I guess I just need to know what the next step should be.

My period is two weeks late. I took a HPT and it said negative. Waited a week and took another, still neg. Since then my breast have become tender, I feel very nauseated, I am always urinating, I get headaches, and am tired all the time. Could I still be pregnant and just getting a false negative?

Hi there. My dh and I have been trying to have our second one and it's been almost four years. Now I just got done doing ivf. I willing be going in on Sunday to find out if it's negative or positive. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo scared that it would be negative. I am starting to feel back pain and cramps. I don't if that means that I am not pregnant. Has anyone have these symptoms before.

I called a nurse line through our hospital to get an opinion on what to do and after various questions she asked if I have chest pains. I told her yes my boobs have hurt and sometimes it lasts like 5 minutes, she says cal 911, um if they just hurt and aren't true pains whats the need?! I'm more confused than ever now!

I am about 13 days late on my period and I have only had cramps one day for about 10 minutes. Today I noticed blood when I wiped just a light pink and then a half hour later I went to check again and nothing at all, no blood was present either time I urinated but the first time when I wiped it was there. I don't know if it's a start to my period or what but this has never happened to me and I'm confused again. I did take two pregnancy tests, I took one within 3 days before my missed period, and I took another when I was about a week late and both were negative. And yes my periods are always regular.

On September 17,2008 my period came down it was normal & went back up on its normal 5th day.

On October 2,2008 my period came back down.So I went to the Dr, cause i didn't know what the problem was for me bleedin again.So he prescribed me Provera 10mg for 10 days so the bleeding could stop so on my third day of taking it the bleeding stop and i stop taking them on the third day i didn't finish them.& 31,2008.Im having symptoms like {dizziness,backache,sharp pains in my lower abdominal,headache}but i know those symptoms could me something else.I am tryin to conceive im not stressing.I have taken home pregnancy test but the results came back negative but the last test i did was on October 27,2008.It's now Nov.3,2008 & my period still haven't come?
