Did I "O" on cycle day 7??

Please look at the Pics and tell me

Today is Cycle Day 8 for me...

I have been having Light OPKs since Day 2 and I was waiting for the super Dark one to appear. Apparently the brand (CVS Brand) I bought must be equivalent to the Online Cheapies. Because when I did the OPK this morning the line was lighter not darker than Day 7 so I am guessing my O happened yesterday...

Here are the OPK pics from cycle Day 6-8:

Good thing we BD'd on :

Cycle Day 5 8AM

Cycle Day 6 1030pm (Used EW)

Cycle Day 8 740am (Used EW)

So I am hoping if I did O between Day 6-8 we are covered since we went Au Natural this cycle except for the Metformin, B6, B12, Baby ASA, Prenatal Vits, Tao of Wellness, fertilaid Tea & the Egg whites.

I guess I should add that this is my first cycle without meds since July. I had a canceled cycles of Injectables then 3 cycles of Clomid/IUI that all failed so we are taking a break this cycle and see the RE to discuss options the day we get back from Hawaii (Dec 8th).

I dont know if I should go out and spend $20 on another OPK and keep testing or not what do you think??

Natural labor vs. medicated labor??

Ok, so my #1 baby was a little shocker, coming at 35 wks...and I totally didn't want an epidural, neither do I now. But after 50 hrs of laboring with him, I opted for 'something little' and I got Nubane. So that made me extrememly sleepy, could hardly keep my eyes open.

My question is...is there anything lower level than Nubane that won't make me sleepy? I'm hoping all natural but you see how that went last time :)

Thanks!

Too soon for IUI?

Dr. Q-

my husband and and I have been trying for a year-I"ve been on 50 of Clomid for 3 months. We did a Semen analysis and motility was slightly slow but GYN said nothing too worry about. She wants to start IUI.

Shouldn't she exam me first to rule out anything going on with me? Example maybe tubes blockes etc? or is it normal to start IUI soon after clomid- the thing is I don't know if I'm ovulating or not because she says OPKS are a waste of time. I did use them in one cycle and one line was dark and the othe was faint so maybe I need to try 100 clomid before doing IUI? I just thought it was too soon to do IUI and she should do more tests but I'm not sure what other tests are out there that she can do on me. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Rachel

Natural IVF Pros and Cons

Dear doctor:

What's your opinion of Natural-IVF? I've spoken with two doctors: One encourages it for a specific group of women, and one discourages it because it has "extremely low success rates."

Many thanks.

Christine

Increase Hormones Naturally?

i have extremely low progestrone levels, like 1.1... Which means of course, I don't have periods or ovulate.. I was told by a friend to start taking Wild yam or Dioscorea.. that it would increase and balance my levels.. Which would help my mood swings, help me to have periods and ovulate again.. Well, I'm starting a diet Monday. I was wondering if the Wild Yam really works and also, if i diet will it increase my chances to start ovualting and having periods again.. To help me concieve.. Thank you so much for your time.. I really appreciate it a whole lot!!

natural progesterone cream

I'm currently TTC. I've been tracking my cycles for over 5 months, and typically my cycles are approximately 25-26 days, with my luteal phase being 11-12 days. Last cycle my luteal phase was only 10 days longs, which made me wonder if I might have a luteal phase defect?

To be honest... I'm not a huge fan of western medicine. This cycle I've started taking vitamin B-6 and red raspberry to attempt to lengthen my luteal phase in a natural way.

So... finally... my question... I've been reading a lot about natural progesterone cream and contemplating trying it. I know there is a lot of mixed feelings as to whether it really helps. With that said would it be a bad idea to try it without having my progesterone levels checked first? Is there a chance I could end up with too much progesterone in my system (or is there such a thing?) What's worse case scenario on this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I wanted to know if anyone has had an natural IUI? Also did it work? If you ovulated did you still need the ovidrel shot? I was going to have one done but I couldnt get the shot of ovidrel in time. If we have the money we will be doing the natural IUI next month or in a few months.

should I get and iui after on and off clomid for 15 mo?

My OB said I wasn't ovulating so I started on 50mg of clomid and now at 100mg the last 3mo. I've been on and off it for 15mo with no success. He said I could try an IUI this mo. (in about 1 week or so I'll ovulate). My tubes are clear, my ovaries look good as well as my husbands sperm count. And I'm ovulating. My husband leaves overseas in Dec so we only have this month and the next to try. Should I be taking additional fertility shot to better my chances with the IUI? My OB disagrees because of the risks and complications that may occur. Please help!!

Natural Progesterone Cream

If I decide to use over the counter Natural Progesterone Cream without first having my hormones checked could it be harmful? I have signs of low progesterone like a short luteal phase and spotting. I just ovulated and I want to start using it tonight, but I keep researching and I find conflicting information. Some people say it can't hurt but it could help me get and stay pregnant. But others don't recomend using it. Should I just try it and see what happens?

Question about natural progesterone cream.

Hello,

I recently submitted a question inquiring about my short luteal phase. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since September 2007. I became pregnant in February 2008, but miscarried in March at 6 weeks. Since that time I have been charting and have noticed that I have a short luteal phase. Out of the four complete cycles since the miscarriage, I have had luteal phases of 11, 9, 14 and 10 days. I am worried that I have a luteal phase defect and that it is keeping me from conceiving.

That brings me to my question. I am currently 4 days past ovulation and I am wondering if it would be safe to start using a natural progesterone cream. My husband and I tried extra hard to get pregnant this month, and I am worried that I will not be able to get pregnant if I have a luteal phase defect. From what I have read, you should start using the cream immediately after ovulation. I am basically wondering if starting the cream 5 days past ovulation (b/c I would start tomorrow) would still be helpful. And if so, are there any over-the-counter brands that you can recommmend?

I have an appointment to see my OBGYN on 9/19/08, but I was wondering if there was something I could do now to help my chances of getting pregnant between now and then.

Thanks so much for any guidance that you can provide!!

Best,

Christina

The Natural Cycle IVF and Minimal Stimulation IVF

I was reading about the The Natural Cycle IVF and Minimal Stimulation IVF. They seem to be less drug involved treatments. I'm not sure whether they are commonly practiced. Doctors, ladies do you have any inside?
