Okay I know I have 5 kids, but none of them were ever as hard to put in their own bed as little Miss Ava!She is now 18 mos old and has co-slept with me all of her life (all of my kids did until this age ) but I cannot break her of it! She sreams, starts coughing, almost throws up! I have tried waiting it out and she wont go to sleep. I have tried getting her to sleep first and then putting her to bed and she ALWAYS wakes up.. if not right away within an hour. Any advice??? I mean look at her...
Ladies, question on video monitors.

Okay, Cameron will only sleep on his tummy, he hates laying on his back. He still has the startle reflex too. So for the last month I've let him sleep on his tummy. His doc is very against this and I completely understand, I am worried every single night about SIDS. Cameron started rolling over from his belly to his back and now at night he'll do this while sleeping a few times and then wake up so I have to go in and put him back on his belly. What do you all think about the day/night vision baby monitors? Are they worth the money? Will I be able to see Cameron breathe at night on the monitor? I'm looking at one by Summer Infant, it's a 7inch screen and cost $229, I have a 10% off coupon. I hate wasting money. What should I do? Any advice or experience with these monitors? Thanks!

For all us "old" moms with NON BPA bottles....

I received a tip from a friend that I could return/exchange old non-BPA free bottles at Babies R US so....

I gathered up all my old Avent bottles from Jacob and brought them to Babies R Us, I had $75.00 worth!

The manager said I could not get store credit, but could pick out any bottles or gift sets and the brands of my choice.. so I got $75.00 worth of the Playtex Nurser with BPA free drop ins.. now we just need a baby to go with them LOL!

Thought I would pass this along :)

Anyone else dealing with/dealt with this?

Okay, so, my Mom passed away when I was 16. I miss her, obviously.. but its one of those things I'm pretty much okay with now.. if that makes sense.. doesn't normally bother me really. The last time I felt really upset about her being gone was when I got married...

I was feeling fine about things, like her not being around for the birth of the baby, it is what it is, ya know? But, then, yesterday, when we were explaining that dh wouldn't get time off to my doctor, she started asking about famiy and asked if my Mom would be around to help with the baby and I lost it.. I cried in her office until I'd used up 1/2 her box of tissues...

I didn't realize it was kind of bothering me until now.. just wondering if anyone else has experienced the birth of their first baby without their mom around.. or if any of you pregnant ladies are in the same situation?
