help with toilet training for 6 year old

Ok so this is a question on behalf of my mum.

She has had my foster brother Isaiah for 6 and half yrs now (since he was 6months old). We (mum and I when i lived at home) have been there for all his firsts eg. walking, talking, teething etc We even toliet trained him.

But over the past 2yrs he has became "lazy" with going to the toliet. This all started when his parents started saying they wanted to take him back home to there place (we know that they like "playing" with his bum eg putting things up it, which off course we have reported) thru the wk and mum have him jst on wkends.

Anyway he started pooing his pants. Mum took him to the dr and it turns out he has this condition that basicly means he doesnt know when he needs to do a poo hence pooing his pants. The dr gave him meds and this improved it some what but we have noticed that he is now just simply refusing to sit on the toliet to do poo's. He will go into the bathroom but then comes out and tells us he needs to be changed. We have also caught him hiding while doing a poo and then saying its an accident. We know sometimes are accidents but other times its not and when we try to get him to sit on the toliet he will get pretty upset and cry.

Mum has tried all the things she did to "toliet train" him but none are wrking she went out and brought one of those cusshion toliet seats etc and all thinking maybe he was scared of the seat coz he did sit on one and it pinched his "willy" but the different seat hasnt made a difference.

So Im after any suggestions/advice you may have to help my mum get him to sit on the toliet seat and to start using it whn needing to do poo's. He has no problem using the toliet to do wee's

Also has any one heard of this "lazy bowel syndrom' he has and have any suggestions to help him to know when he needs to do poo's as the dr whats him to have a break from using them (was suppositry's [spelt wrong]). Mum has added extra fibre to his diet and limited his dairy as his dr said this may help.

He is an awesome kid and I love him like my own. This yr he is in 1st class and I dont want him to have to suffer being bullied this yr like he was last yr because of this "bowel" issue.

When do you let babies burp? when do you stop boiling the water? when do you stop heating bottles?

Hi everyone

1. I wanted to know when do you let babies burp on their own at what age?

2. when can you stop bolling the water. For Jaela we use the Similac sensitive ready to feed but we use powder for Alana. I was told at three months but i needed confirmation. Also i use Nursery water for her and it is not sterile so i still have to boil that

3. when do you stop heating bottles. i wanted to keep heating them until they begin on regular milk but was just wondering.

am i spoiling my baby?

hi ladies. i have a question about spoiling babies. when olivia cries, i run to get her. she's a really good baby and only cries when she's hungry or getting her diaper changed (she HATES it).

anyway, i also hold her during the day when she's napping, could i be setting myself up for a very needy baby who always want to be held?

More Mommy Sharing Time!!!! (4th edition) :)

Alright.. I gotta start a new sharing post.. the other one takes sooooo long to load!

Christian's newest trick: he figured out how to get the toys in his mouth!

He's also become gigantic...
Someone pretend to be excited with me?

Christian ate sweet potatoes.. his first taste of solid food!! He loved them! He ate about five bites.. treated that spoon like he'd done it a million times... swallowed every bite.. no spitting them out. He's only 2 1/2 months, but his pediatrician told me to give them to him a couple times a day b/c he's had a massive appetite lately! I'm so excited.. no one else seems to give a damn.. and I know people here will at least feign some excitement for my sake! :)

Love you all!

To all the mommies (of baby girls)....

I was told when my daughter was born that she would have some white vaginal discharge for about 2 weeks and that it was normal and not to worry. Well, she did have that for a little bit but it went away. She is now 3 weeks and I have noticed that she is having morevaginal discharge. It is different from before. It is slightly yellowish/greenish (very light in color) and sometimes I can see it inher diaper when I change her. Other times I only see it on her. Anyway, I dont know if this is normal. Any thoughts?

Hey Moms :)

At what age will you stop swaddling your babies and stop using a baby sleep positioner? Also, do your babies still have the startle reflex?

average age to get AF?

My daughter will be turning 12 in a few weeks and i could have sworn she was gonna have AF a few months ago.

She has tons of hair "down there", has to shave her arm pits and legs, has been wearing a bra for the last year cuz its needed (they are far from huge but little buds and nipple) and moody as ever! One second she is a cute little angel and the next min she is moody, and being difficult. She is a good kid so even her "bad" times are easier than other kids good times. But she gets very difficult, nothing is good enough and cries at the drop of a hat during those time. soooo......

how old we you all or your daughters when they got AF for the 1st time. I was old, i was in 8th grade, later in the year, i was in Disney with my mom and new step dad.... what a freekin treat i musta been! LOL!

Is there a limit on how long you should let a 2 month old sleep?

Now that Christian's bed is in his own room, he's been sleeping for nine hours.. he's now been asleep for ten!!!!!

Is that too long? I mean, I'm enjoying the sleep.. but I don't want him to be missing out on the nutrition he needs from more frequent feedings!

Anyone know anything about this?

Sharing Time, Mommies!!!

How are all the new mommies doing? Good here.. Christian went on a pooping strike for 48 hours.. despite me giving him apple-prune juice, doing infant massage on his tummy, bending his legs up to his tummy, and giving him glycerin suppositories!!! He finally overfilled 2 diapers..and nearly filled another one.. haha...

I weighed him tonight, and he is up to 12 lbs according to my scale!!! Wow! Already!!

Anything new with any other babies? And post some recent pictures/videos here.. I want to see them! Here are some new ones of Christian.. I've become slightly less camera-crazy lately

As always... asleep with daddy:

His Ole! pose.. haha:

We decided he looks like a snowman here, with his arms straight out:

I thought this was precious, Christians feet next to Aaron's foot:

He grabbed a hold of his panda for the first time today, and started eating it!

This is his tummy time a few days ago, I think he was attempting to "talk"
