Methotrexate shot

I was wondering once your levels reach 0 how long afterwards should your period return and you can start ttc again? I recieved the shot September 19th. My numbers as of last friday were at 1.1 I had another blood test done today and didn't get the results back yet. I was just wondering when to expect my period to show as well as when it would be safe to start TTC again. We were planning on end of december/January. thanks

methotrexate shot

Hi I was giving a methotrexate shot September 19th. My BETA numbers weren't doubling the way they should, I had a ultrasound done & they couldn't determine it was a ectopic preg. or that it wasn't they didn't see anything in the uterous but saw nothing outside the uterous that would indicate a ectopic. They thought I may of still had left over "active" tissue in my uterous that hadn't disperced when I had bled previously. Anyhow they had me to a methotrexate shot to be on the safe side. My numbers as of October 17th had reached 4.4 I had them done again yesterday but didn't get the results back but my OB said under 5 is a negative but said to do one more to be on the safe side. I was wondering how long after your levels reach 0 can you expect to start your periods again? My OB wants us to wait until December to start TTC again, but I am just wondering when to expect my period to show. Thanks!

Ectopic Pregnancy

I had an ectopic pregnancy, but my doctor caught it early enough that I didn't have to have surgery. Instead they gave me Methotrexate to prevent it from growing and end it. Can I try to get pregnant again right away or do I have to wait?

TTC & Methotrexate

Hello, my husband and I have been trying for baby number 2 for over 2 years now. We concieved last time after 3.5 years on clomid.

Our problem now seems to be that he has been prescribed methotrexate for a muscular problem he has, he has been on this since August last year. His doctor seems to think this is not a problem to our ttc mission, but all the information I have read seems to differ from this?

Any advice would be greatly apprieciated.

Tubal Pregnancy

Hello,

My dh and I welcomed our first child together in Oct and the Friday after Thanksgiving I started to hurt and spot and went to the doctor and was told I had a tubal pregnancy. They gave me 2x's of Methrodox(spelling) and it terminated my pregnancy. Weekly the doctor check my hormone level until it gets to neg. right now it is like 80. What do you think I need to do next time to prevent this from happening before ttc again???

Ectopic questions

Hi,

I am 24 and this has been my first pregnancy, although I have been diagnosed with an ectopic and the doctor is treating it with Methotrexate. It is necessary to wait more than 3 months to TTC if I have been given 2 doses of Methotrexate? Also, would it be wise to have an HSG done to see if there are any blockages/problems with my tubes?

Thank you for any information.

Wan tto conceive but partner is on Methotrxate and Leflunomide for RA, help!!!!

My boyfriend is currently taking 2.5 mg Methotrexate/4 times week, and 20mg Leflunomide (Arava) each day for Rheumatory Arthritis. He says he has tried many of the biology-based meds for RA and they don't work for him. If he gets off of his current meds, he will be unable to function in everyday life. What can we do if we wish to conceive? What combination of RA meds might treat his condition without decreasing sperm count/mobility or risking harm to a fetus? Please help, I am almost 31 and want to have a child before I reach advanced maternal age.... I am really worried about the chances of us ever being able to conceive!
