update on BobbiJ 10-30-08

So, I went in for my follow up today, I got some of my staples out, but found out that I have stitches on the inside of the incisions and they will stay in for 3 months which is a good thing, and I dont have to worry about them coming loose at all!they sent my gallbladder out to a lab to check for any cancer cells or abnormalities, because it was twice the size it should have been and did not look good at all. In really worried about the results they might get, as I alreay went through cervical cancer in 2005 and don't want to deal with it again, but am trying to stay positive.

My dr. wants me to start on metformin again, i have been off of it for 1 week, and worried I might get all the side effects again? but hoping not. Anyone else stop metformin and then go back on it again? Did you have side effects again?

So things good for now, im still really sore, but everyday it is a little better!

my hubby is really worried about me, and isn't sure he wants me to take all the medications again, he said he doesn't want to see me hurting anymore! I understand that, but I don't want to give up. Granted, I was really down at first, and I still am at times, but I have to try to stay positive or I will drive myself crazy. I know my hubby will support me in any choice that I make, I think he is just as scared as I am, as to what the future holds. I told him that God is just making us stronger, and I hope thats true!

thank you ladies for all the prayers, thoughts, hugs, kind words and long talks:) You are the best and I couldn't do this without you!

Regular periods with Pcos

If I have pcos with regular periods does that increase my chances of getting pregnant esp once my RE prescribes me meds? If I get normals periods this means I ovulate right? Ah. confussed. So if my eggs are no good it has to do with my pcos or my tubes being blocked??

So what is IUI exactly? How does it play into clomid or other fertility medications? I'm very curious. I know its not in-vitro... but what does it do? Is it the next step after clomid??

Herbal Fertility Help, really works...

Even if you have insurance, it's worth giving a try. I'm talking about Soy Isolate. You can get it at walmart in powder and tablet form. I went through 10 years of fertility treatments with my first husband without a bfp. The first cycle I used soy I got a bfp and have a beautiful soon to be 4 year old. I've have gotten pregnant 2 more times with the use of soy. It's similar to clomid without the side effects. I thought I would pass on the info. Here is a link to find out more http://www.soulcysters.net/thinking-clomid-give-soy-try-cd-5-9-a-7981/

Good luck to everyone!

I'm going to start taking Provera and Clomid shortly. I was just wondering if it is ok to take fluid pills while taking clomid and provera. Will it interfer with the medications and or will it hurt me? Thanks so much!

re ;clomid and other fertility drugs

hi dr.v! i wanted to know if there is any other fertility drug that can be prescribed for me besides clomid? see i have a medical history of stroke due to a cranianatomy 8 yrs ago and even though my doc had this information he still prescribed clomid. in may when i started my first dose of it it was one tablet a day on days 3-7 of cycle which was fine had no side effects or anything ,now that he has increased it to 2 tablets a day i have be getting bothersome headaches and they are uncomfortable i called my dr. and one of his partners said to stop taking it and go be evaualted by my primary care dr. in which i am going to my neurologist the 15th of this month. so is there any other fertility drugs that don'tcause these side effects or minimal side effects for my case? if so can you please let me know otherwise what would be you advice on me being able to become pregnant with no side effects from the drugs?

thank you so much, jenn

I might be at the end of my rope w/ fertiliy meds/treatments. I will continue to take the Metformin, But my question is what medicine is out there to take so I continue to get my period every month?
