Could it be possible my Progesterone levels are to low?

Hello, my last cycle I got a BFP at 12dpo, only to find out my HCG levels weren't doubling and I miscarried at 5wks. I was wondering if my progesterone levels could be low and that would be part of my problem. Last month was my first cycle on Femara I had used Clomid 3 months prior, with no success. I have a 1 year old son I concieved naturally the first try, and when I found out I was preg. with him I was immediatly put on Progesterone suppliment because they said my levels were a little low. I have been charting BBT and this is what my chart looked like this past cycle.

CD1-97.2

cd2- 96.5

cd3-96.5 (start femara)

cd4-96.8

cd5-96.55

cd6-96.55

cd7-96.5 (end femara)

cd8-96.5

cd9-96.5 (low fertility montior reading

cd10- 96.5 (FM low reading)

cd11- 96.7 (fm low reading)

cd12- 96.6 (fm low reading)

cd13-96.46 (fm low reading)

cd14-96.5 (fm low reading)

cd15-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd16-97.0 (fm high reading)

cd17-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd18- 96.5 (fm high reading)

cd19-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd20-97.0 (fm peak reading)

cd21-97.5 (fm peak reading, 1dpo)

cd22-97.5 (fm high reading 2dpo)

cd23-97.47 (fm low reading 3dpo)

cd24-97.6 4dpo

cd25-97.4 5dpo

cd26- 97.72 6dpo

cd27- 97.75 7dpo

cd28-97.7 8dpo

cd29- 97.33 9dpo

cd30- 97.77 10dpo

cd31- 97.77 11dpo

cd32- 97.57 12dpo (positive hpt)

cd33-n/a

cd34-97.93 14dpo (started a progesterone suppliment the night before because blood test showed progesterone level of 10)

cd35- 97.92 15dpo

cd36-n/a 16dpo

cd37-n/a got next blood results back hcg only went up to 31.5 from 23 believe I will miscarry

cd38-spotting (miscarriage)

I have a apt. with my OB on the 19th, and I am going to show her my chart as well, but I read if your temps. don't go significantly higher than your coverline after ovulation you could have a problem with low progesterone. What do you think? Fertility friend stated my coverline was at 97.32

Could you help me with this -

Pre wash ( I had and iui today) :

Volume 2.9

Motility 50

concentration 0.75

If time's it - I get 108.75. Is that good?

Post wash:

Volume 0.4

motility 89

concentration 0.35

Now I get 12.46.

Why are the pre and post so different and are the final numbers low?
Husbands Sperm Count

My hubby had a vasectomy reversal back in December 2007.Everymonth we have had a SA done to see if his sperm is returning and every month it has gotten better and better.Last month we did our first IUI and his sperm count was at 92million with great morph/motility.This month when we went for our second IUI his sperm count was only 9 million with poor morph/motility.We did not abstain last month or this month but have had more intercourse this month then last before the count was done.I am worried about blockage, do you think it could be blockage or just too much sex before the count was done??Thank you so much!

Pregnant after first IUI

Me and DH are both 24. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. Summer of 2007 I stopped taking B/C and nothing happened for a year. Cycle stopped coming about November of 2007. Went to FCI (Fertility Centers of Illinois) after a co-worker got pregnant from them. Our first appointment was the end of May 2008. One cycle with just Provera to start, and then one cycle of Provera, Clomid, and an IUI.

7.28.2008 - First IUI

8.11.2008 - Positive Blood Test

8.21.2008 - First U/S (4 weeks since IUI)

8.28.2008 - Go in for 2nd U/S to hopefully see HB

I am glad to have found a place online to get insight on our situation, and am hoping to pass the time until we see our little Cupcakes heartbeat!

Low Progesterone in Early Pregnancy

I am pregnant (about 4 weeks from my IUI). My progesterone is low and I am using Endometrin 3 x a day. My levels yesterday were 11.4 tested from the middle of the day, and last time they were at 16 tested from morning. Are these levels enough to sustain my pregnancy?

Docs: IUI for Low Motility. How many days old for sample?

We're in our 2nd month of clomid+IUI. Our issue is motility.

Hubby has ED so he's not usually interested in BD unless it's "prime time" as he puts it. I've grown used to BD just once or twice a month, so I'm not concerned there. He hates taking a viagra cuz of the side effects.

Here are my questions.

If we only BD once a month (in addition to IUI), is that, in itself possibly affecting his motility?

Should we make sure he has a "fresh" sample for the IUI procedure? Last month, his sample was like 36 hours from his last ejaculation. The other option was for it to have been at least a week since his last ejaculation. (I had read 2-5 days somewhere).

What do you think?

semen analysis

Hi me and my DH have a3yo. We also got pregnant early this year which ended in a miscarriage. Due to the info i have learnt from this site(thank-you), we saw a fertility specialist. In our consult he said he cannot give us a diagnosis of ifertility yet and to come back in 3 months. We asked for some test to be done and my DH semen analysis result was not very good. With these results IVF and ICSI would be our only chance. Have not seen doctor again but would cause this. Sorry for all the extra info I have given.

The journey has begun

My fiance and I have been ttc for 15 mos now. We finally had his semen analysis done and things are not looking good. He has less than 5 million motile sperm and 0 morphology. He has started on 1000 mg of Vitamin C and he is taking One A Day mens health over 50(because its supposed to help the prostate). He has not made an appt to see the urologist yet as I think he thinks it will correct itself with the vitamins. I don't want added pressure so I am just waiting....I have a 10 yr old from a previous marriage. I am starting think it will never happen.

My journey so far

Hi all,

34 and have been trying ttc for almost 1 yr. Have recently been to doctors for intial tests and everything has come back normal. Going for ultrasound in 2 weeks so hoping everything will be ok. Partner (35) is also going for sperm analysis next week so fingers crossed.

Never did i imagine i would want a baby so much until the possiblity of infertility raised its ugly head. Still early days yet in our journey of ttc but have not been able to think of anything else for the last 3 months, feels like im in some kind of limbo state!

I think my age is causing me concern as i hear so often about how difficult it can become for women over 30 to conceive.

Anyhoos thats my journey so far..not much to report but i will keep you updated.

Thanks and shed loads of baby dust to all ttc!!!

Update 14-8-08

Well dh sa didnt go as well as hoped. Everything seemed within normal range apart from morphology which is 6%. He needs to re-test again in few weeks and if the results are the same then we will be refered to a specialist.

I also had a vaginal ultrasound this week and again not everything came back 'normal'. They found 2 fibroids 9 and 10 mm in size, doc doesnt think they big enough to be of any real concern. Theres also the possiblity that i have pcos, as 'multiple follicles' were found on both ovaries. They wont know for sure if its pcos until they run biochemical tests, but i would be surprised if it were as i have regular periods and no other symptons. All will be revealed in time i suppose.

Have felt very down about all these 'abnormalities' :(

just wanted to hear that everything was 'normal' and when you dont its like a kick in the stomach, but its making me stronger and im determined to stay positive:)

Good luck to you all :) with Lots and lots of babydust!!!

Recommendation of Only IVF and Freezing Eggs

I am 34 years old and am confused! My husband and I have been TTC casually for 2 years. About 1.5 years ago, I had an FSH that was just called, 'normal' (don't know the number). My husbands S/A was normal although he has been diagnosed with Vericocele. About 3 months ago, we got serious about trying and went to see a new doctor who handles male & female. He ordered an HSG which was normal. A blood test which revealed my FSH is now, what they consider, borderline at an 8.0. And, last week, he did a sonogram to make sure that I am clear for Clomid. He told me that I had small ovaries and only 3 follicles. He said the only time that he has seen ovaries like mine in someone my age is in someone who has smoked 2 packs a day for years or had multiple surgeries...neither apply to me. His advice was to go directly to IVF and quickly. He is also recommending that I freeze my eggs for future. With all of this, our chances are still only 33%. This was very sudden to me and doesn't seem to 'jive' with other things I've been told. My monthly's are very regular. I ovulate every month and have ovulation pain every month...usually on my right side where he said he had trouble finding my ovary. And, in my last annual apt., my doc was able to tell that I ovulate on my right side just by feeling my ovary without the sonogram. Now, I'm reading responses here and it looks like 3 follicles isn't a bad thing (don't know size, though). Could he be mistaken? Or, I hate to even say this, trying to 'make a sale?' I have an appointment with a 2nd doctor recommended by my GYN next week, but am feeling crushed and want as much information as I can get.

Thank you so much for any insight. This is a wonderful site with wonderful people.

If my wife and I are not able to conceive due to low sperm motility, what artificial means exist that would not remove my wife's eggs from her body? We are opposed to conception in a petri dish.
