Still No Af Following Loss

Dr. Q and Ladies,

I have been ttc for nearly 2 yrs following a tr in April 07'. We got pregnant on our own in February with a heartbreaking loss on 3/6, as the little one was in the tube.

I still have not had af.

I did get a +opk on 4/1. I have had very sore boobs, which seems to have gotten better today, and very tired and having alot of cramping.

RE is sending me for a beta tomorrow.

I keep feeling like af is coming?? Since my boobs aren't as sore I'm guessing, progesterone has already peaked and af will arrive in the next couple of days?

Has anyone had this experience following a loss?

We are waiting for af as we are preparing to do our first round of IVF in May.

Love & Blessings!

Clomid and long periods

I took 6 rounds of clomid and decided that in feb I was going to take a break from Clomid. My period normally lasts for 7 days including spotting. Last month it lasted for about 10 days and this month I am still spotting and Im on day 9. Does Clomid make you have longer periods or spot? I took an ovulation test today and it was negative.

thanks!

1st cycle clomid, cd9 and still af?

I have been ttc for 18 months now and just last month had bw done. They said everything looked good on bloodwork, except my thyroid level was a little low, so they adjusted my thyroid med's that i have been taking for quite some time. My last cycle was very irregular, almost a month long. My dr seems to think that i'm not ovulating regularly, so she prescribed provera to kick start my next cycle right away, and 50mg clomid on cd5-9. It's cd9 now, and I'm still having af! It's not heavy bleeding or anything, more like dark brown spotting. I haven't had any major side effects from the clomid, I actually feel pretty good besides still being on af. I was directed to start opk on cd11. Can I O if I'm still af? Is that normal to have such a long af on clomid?

Flying long-haul at 8-10 weeks pregnancy

I would like to find out whether there is any threat to the fetus with long-haul flights? I will be 8 weeks pregnant & flying for 16 hrs with a stopover at 8 hrs, returning again when I am 10 weeks pregnant, with the 16 hrs flight and again stopover at 8 hrs.

I have read something about radiation on flights being dangerous in the first 8-10 weeks of pregnancy. I have not had any complications with my pregnancy thusfar.

Please advise.

What is probability of clomid still being in my system?

I have been taking clomid since January of last year, and I have not taken it this month at all. Last month I o late in my cycle so I was taken off of it, but I just started to get symptoms of oing two days ago cd17 which is when I did while on the clomid. Is it possible that my body is still reacting to the clomid even tho I did not take it this cycle?

Now after a 48 day cycle, I had a very light bleed TMI ALERT:(like 3 tampons in two days), the third day was spotting for half a day, then nothing on the fourth day and the fifth day one occurance of a good bleed when going to the washroom and then that's it. Strangeist thing I have ever incountered. Apparently ovulated on cd33, but started to bleed on 15 dpo. No bfp's yet and then had a blood test yesterday but they did not call me which would tell me that it was negative (they never call when it is neg.). What to think, why the light period, is it because I am/maybe anaovulatory?

******* My updated Journey ********

Well what a ride it has been! LOL

We have been TTC for 8 month since my dh's vasectomy reversal. He had a s/a done in June that showed a sperm count of 18 million per ml and volume was 2.6

The motility was 50% and 95% normal,5% immature,with a 4=sperm moving forward at a high speed.

We got pregnant 3 x's that all ended in m/c. That was month 4,5,and 6 of this journey. My dh went back about a week ago (in December) for another s/a and it showed a sperm count of 2.9 million per ml with a volume of 2.0,40% motility,60%normal,35%abnormal,and 5% immature. The doc thinks this is the reason for my m/c's and that my body was just doing it's job. Most likely he is just scarring shut from the scar tissue from the surgeries(which the doc warned us could/would happen) So we have come to a point where we had to make a decision what to do next??

a) reverse it again

b)sperm donar

c)give up

We decided to try one month with the help of clomid in hopes that it would "give him more targets" while also taking baby asprin, vitamin B6 and using progesterone after O

If that doesn't work we will do all of the above and also an at home insemination. If that doesn't work we are doing one more s/a and if the results are bad we are moving on to the use of donar sperm.

So that is where we are in our journey.

I sure hope to get my baby soon :)

It has been one long hard journey thus far, but I will appriciate my baby that much more :) Thank you for all of the support you have given to me along the way... ((( hugs to all )))

Shanna's Journey

Hi everyone! I have been lurking for quite some time here at FT. This site seems to be a great support network for women in very tough situations.

Here is my story so far...

6/14/1997 - Married to the one I love!!! (The true start to this whole story)

Dec 2005 - purchsed Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor

May 2006 - 1st peak cycle!!!

June 2006 - BFP!!! We were so excited about a baby on the way!!!

6/14/2006 - Miscarriage #1 - Total devastation.

Long break until spring of 2007

July 2007 - BFP #2 followed very quickly by a miscarriage at 5 weeks. Anger and frustration...

Decided to go on birth control for a while...de-stress and enjoy life.

May 2008 - no more birth control!!!

8/3/08 - BFP#3!

8/14/08 - miscarriage #3 @ 7 weeks. Ugh...again? Heartbroken...losing faith...will we ever have a family?

Taking action...1st follow-up appointment with Dr to see why this is happening and how we can fix it is 9/15.

All blood work so far is normal. Got the go ahead to continue trying and use progesterone suppositories through 12th week.

I have a long somewhat irregular cycle...35-38 days

O very late - days 25-28 is where it falls most of the time.

12/27...I am on day 24 of current cycle with no +OPK yet...

This is my third attempt since our most recent miscarriage

Hoping for a BFP very soon!!! :)

♥~Shanna

Long and very heavy periods

DOCTOR PLEASE I NEED SOME FEEDBACK!!!

I have been bleeding since Thanksgiving, very heavy and big clots! I have been to the ER and all tests came back normal. I bleed heavy like this for a month or so and then nothing for about 3 months then another month it starts again. It affects my daily life when I bleed like this. I have to shower 2-3 times a day, my husband and I can't have relations and I'm ruining my clothes! Would I benefit from getting on birth control pills to regulate my periods?? I don't know what else to do!

How long is too long for a period? I have a 25 days long period

I am 25 and have just finished a cycle on gonal-f shots. We did NOT do the trigger shots because of to many eggs. I got overstimulated and have now been on a very very heavy period for 25days should I be concerned?
