How long does Round Ligament pain last?

Is this supposed to last for weeks?

I know that sitting at a desk for a long period of time can aggravate it im sure, but I have to get my work done. As soon as I get my work done im usually downstairs on the couch for the rest of the day resting.

This has been lasting for 2 weeks now, not straight, but if I do laundry it starts, if I start cleaning it starts, if im just sitting at the computer for a few hours it starts, if I go grocery shopping and just the walking around it starts in about 20 minutes, went shopping the other day and surprisingly it didnt hurt that bad, but the next day it hurt.

Is this totally normal?

Its the same spot everytime, but now its starting to happen on my right side of the belly, it was before and again its the same spots.

It feels like tearing at times.

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow @ 11:30, I have talked to them twice and both times said round ligament pain and when it starts up that I need to lay down, which basically it starts by doing nothing, so now im not allowed to do much anymore.

Has anyone ever experienced this for this long?

Thanks!

pressure in pelvis at 15 weeks

Dr. and ladies. I have been feeling this pressure in the area right above my hair line. It is not painful but feels like I worked those muscles or a dull pressure. I thought it could ligament pain but it is constant and not a stabbing pain...not is it on the sides. One of my papers from the dr said abdmoinal pain could be a sign or pre-term labor. Does this sound like ligament pressure or should I call my dr.???

Dr. Q other Docs, Ladies..Round Ligament pain?

Ok so here it is as short as I can explain this.

1. This started on Thursday August 28th around 6pm. I called the doctor around midnight because it was hurting so bad, they said it was probably stretching and to get home and lay down, so I did.

2. Friday we relaxed some of the morning and I worked some of the morning, then went and ate lunch and then tried to shop and 20 minutes into it I was bending over because of the pain and because I was having contractions where it was taking my breath away.

3. The pain feels like something is trying to rip out of my skin on the left side of my belly button going up and down, its probably oh 3-4 inches long by 1-2inches wide.

4. I called yesterday as I was doing LAUNDRY and it started up again, and had been hurting the day before as well. They said its round ligament pain and anytime it happens to lay down.

5. Went grocery shopping yesterday evening didnt push the buggy or anything and 20-30minutes after being there it started up again, I was basically bending over in pain. No contractions really anymore just stomach is really tight, but im sure im having Braxton Hicks thats I really cant feel to much.

Does this seem like normal Round ligament pain? It hurts so badly, and literally its when im doing something for 20 minutes or longer it starts up and usually hurts to lay down on my left side and stuff.

Also my discharge level has dropped as all the way up until this started its been A TON. Also this morning woke up with some mild cramping and lower backpain but thats gone now.

I dont want to call again as I dont want to hear the same thing, I just want to know is this normal.

Thanks and im 28weeks4days pregnant.

I am having some light cramping, only when I move from a sitting or lying position. It is short lived and goes away after a minute or two. I am hoping this is normal. THere is NO bleeding and other than that I feel fine.

Thanks :-)

Worried about lower left side back cramping- Dr Q input please

Hi everyone,

I am getting really worried-yesterday I started having this cramping on the left side of my lower back- it's not bad- it's just uncomfortable. It's not constant- it comes and goes. I have this same cramping again today. I'm really getting worried that it's something bad. Last summer when I had a missed miscarriage I felt a very similar cramping sensation. I have NO bleeding/unusual discharge- unlike last time I had brown bleeding for a week prior to the cramping. I am between 4 and 5 weeks pregnant. I am hoping this is normal aches and pains- but I am really worried because of what I went through last summer. Could this be round ligament pain? Is it possible to have another missed miscarriage without any blood or discharge at all?

When do you start feeling the baby move?

Hi Dr.Q and Ladies,

I'm currently 16w4d pregnant and I am just wondering when can I expect to start feeling that fluttering/bubbling sensation of the baby moving. Sometimes I think I might feel something but then other times I think it might just be gas or something. What do you all think? Is it still too early?

Also, I have been having alot of round ligament pain which includes alot of stretching and pulling, is this normal? Thanks in advance!

Am I having Round Ligament Pain?

Hi Girls!

Just wondering if you all could help me. I'm currently 13w2d pregnant and all morning I have been feeling some aching on the right side of my pelvic area. The baby is also on that side too. But this is an aching on my right side of my pelvis, my right hip and lower back. It kind of feeling like it's an aching or shooting pain. Should I be concerned or is this normal? Thanks so much for all your help! I greatly appreciate it!

What does round ligament pain feel like?

I keep getting these weird sensations deep down in the vaginal area, kind of near my cervix. I just wondered what round ligament pain feels like as anytime i tell anyone i have weird sensations they tell me it's round ligament pain. Also, has anyone felt more tenderness on one side of their abdomen than the other during their pregnancy?

Round ligament pain 7-9 dpo???

Dr Q...I'm now at 10 dpo. At 7 dpo I had what felt a lot like the round ligament pain I had while pregnant with Asher. It was very intense and it actually took my breathe away it was so sharp. For the next 2 days I had some af cramping as well. Well last night (9 dpo) I was in bed and I rolled over (which I frequently do) and I had it again. This time on the other side and it was so severe I actually cried out in pain. It took several minutes to completely subside. I've not ever had this except with my pregnancy. Could it possibly be linked to implantation?

Dr Q could you explain round ligament pain

Dr. Q I saw that you wrote to Leann that progesterone can cause ligament pain. I actually was just asking a couple of people about this I believe. I am almost 7 weeks and my stomach and sides are very achy. I have not had any cramps or anything. They just feel like after your workout really hard. Would this fall under that

Occasional sharp pain in the cervix?

Dr. Q.. I've had an occasional sharp pain in what feels like the cervix area for the past couple weeks.. and it seems to be happening slightly more frequently the past few days.. especially if I cough hard (i've had a bad cold and lots of crap in my throat.)

I'm just wondering if it is normal.. if it goes along with the cramping from the uterus expanding or if I should be at all concerned.. no bleeding or anything like that... so.. any ideas?
