IVF Cycle: E2 Level prior to Trigger for Egg retrieval

I am just curious about your estrogen levels prior to trigger shot for egg retrieval. I am not sure what the level is at today yet but yesterday mine was at 2480 and today is Stim day 13. I have a feeling that my level will be in the 3000s today...is that too high or is that still safe?

Elevated Estrogen Level

Dr. Q, Last month CD 3 BW revealed an FSH level of 20 and a normal estrogen level. When I spoke with my RE about this he told me (as you said he would) that I have lowered or diminished ovarian reserve but not premature (I'm 32) ovarian failure because I still get a period. Based on my test results though, my IUI cycle was cancelled and I was told to come back for more BW next cycle. If at that point my FSH was still elevated we would do IVF. If levels were normal then we would proceed with IUI.

Today CD 3 BW came back with an FSH level of 6.4 and an estrogen level of 151 (These results are more in line with my past cycles in which no cysts were found). Now my treatment options are once again up in the air pending an US tomorrow. I have faith in my RE and his staff but all the waiting to undergo treatment is getting to me. Do you have any insight about what treatment options I'll be given this month?

Low estrogen level during IVF cycle

Hello, Doctors and the wonderful ladies of FT!

So I am in the middle of an IVF cycle. I am on Day 6 of stim. At the baseline bloodwork, my estrogen level was 24 and on Day 4 of stim, my level was at 94. Then today at Day 6 of stim, my level came down to 74. Nurse called and told me to increase my follistim to 100units (from 25units) and continue with 75units of menopur and 20 units of Lupron.

Do you think that with the increase in follistim, my estrogen level will increase? I am thinking that this may delay the egg retrieval....which is currently set for 11/17 (tentatively of course)

your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

High HCG levels

I took 2 cycles of Clomid (doses were 50 and then 100). Now I'm pregnant, which I'm very excited about.

The first day of my last period was 4 wks & 1 day ago. My blood test this week reported an HCG level of 125,000. I have an ultrasound appointment next week, but in the meantime, I'm very nervous about the cause for the elevated level. What is the chance that I am pregnant with twins? Triplets? More?

Thanks!

Progesterone question (level 583 ng/dl on CD 23 - 2-3dpo)

Last cycle I had a Prog. level done at CD 22, I didn't see the results but were told it was '160' and that it was good.

So this cycle I had my level checked on CD 23 (I think I ovulated on CD 20 or 21). I got the printed result from the lab. It was 583 ng/dl. I think most labs give this result in ng/ml right? So that would mean my result converted would only be 5.83ng/ml which is low. My question is, am I correct in interpreting my levels. If I was only 2-3 dpo at the time of the test, could it still rise to be high enough by 7 dpo and it was just checked to early? I am now wondering if my result last cycle was wrong and it was also in ng/dl which would have made it only 1.6 converted? Any opinions appreciated.

Low e2 level after 5 days of stimulation

I had an US today at cd7. I started gonal F 112.5iu on cd 2. Today my RE counted 5 follicles in each ovary. There are 4 follicles like 14,12,11,13mm and the others are smaller than this. The least is 4mm. He said he is satisfied with the response and after my e2 testing he said he will most likely increase my dosage to 150iu. What do you think about my response to gonal F. Does it seem to be OK? waiting to hear your response.Dr Q got my e2 level-it is only 103pg after 5 days of stimulation with gonal F. Is it bad? From today I will be taking 150IU of gonal F till sunday and go for US on monday morning. Do you think my level will rise?

progesterone test

Hello. My RE had me take a progesterone test the day after my iui to see when I ovulated. I've only heard of testing progesterone 7dpo. The results came came back and my progesterone level was at 4.9 (It was in the morning after a light breakfast.) I am worried that I ovulated before my iui. Is it possible to have a 4.9 progesterone level 1dpo? It seems a little high for only 1 day. I took 150mg of clomid and HCG trigger 36 hrs before iui.

Thanks for your help!

Progesterone level and pregnancy

I had my progesterone level checked at 7DPO and it was an 8.7....Is that good enough to sustain a pregnancy? There is a slight possibility that I ovulated a day or 2 later than I thought. I wasn't temping, I was only using a fertility monitor and I am on Clomid and hear that it can give false readings on the monitor. My doc does not want to put me on supplements after ovulation b/c I do not have a luteal phase defect but he said if I do get preggo this time, I am to call him immediately to be put on supplements and will take them until I am 12 weeks.

Progesterone/HCG Levels about 4 weeks pregnant

I just found out few days ago that I'm pregnant. I had blood test two days ago which showed 90hcg level and 17.1 progesterone. They had me go in yesterday (after two days) for blood work again. Yesterday, hcg was 158 and progesterone 13. I'm not sure exactly when I ovulated but it was about two weeks ago. So yesterday I was either 3 weeks 6 days pregnant...or exactly 4 weeks. I found out I was pregnant with an early pregnancy test that tells you 5 days before missed period.

I am going back for blood work tomorrowd again. Now I know hcg doubles every other day, according to what my doc said. Should I be worrying about progesterone level since level is above 10 anyway? Has this ever happened to anyone and what was the outcome? I am already having a panic attach and I'm trying my best to stay calm. They have me on progesterone cream as of last night just incase. Doc did say that progesterone level can fluctuate during pregnancy. Has that happened to anyone? Could this possibly be an ectopic pregnancy? (God forbid) because of the low rising hcg and the drop in progesterone? I'm so scared!

Thank you so much in advance!

Is my progesterone level too low?

What is a "normal" progesterone level at a CD 21 blood test? I have heard anything over 10 is good, but I also have heard of ladies that had it in the 70's without being pregnant...mine was 12.8 at CD 22, doctor said that was good...so why such a big difference? Is mine on the low side? Is it enough to sustain a pregnancy?

Progesterone before Ovulation, will I still ovulate?

Hello, I took 50mg of clomid cd 5-8. I did not take it on cd9 because I had a quantitative of 65 hcg and the dr. thought I might be pregnant.

He told me to stop the clomid and start taking progesterone 100mg 3x a day.

I only took one, not three yesterday because I am about 6 weeks past my last ovulation and I feel confident (because i had a period) that I miscarried very early last cycle and it is just left over in my system..

so my question is, even though I only took clomid for 4 days (I do O on my own) and I took one progesterone pill at cd9 do you think I will still ovulate this cycle?

High FSH/LH Levels

I'm really scared and feel pretty ridiculous. I got my lab work back today and my FSH level is 110.2 and my LH level is 55. Apparently that puts me at the "post menopausal" level. I haven't had a period in 4 months and I'm only 27. My husband and I would really like a baby. Is there any chance and, if so, what do they usually do with patients like me? I have been referred to an infertility specialist by my PCP, but it will be awhile before I can get it. Thanks.

Hi Dr's

I am doing follitism and started out at 200IU, for 3 nights then went it for blood work Monday and was told to reduce to 150 IU . went in for more blood work and ultra sound

today I have 3 follies ont he right measuring 11mm and 10 measuring < than 10 AND on the left 10 measuring < 10. The nurse called and told me to reduce the Follitism again to 100IU, she said my E2 was very high.. what does this mean, what could it mean for my IVF cycle ?

thanks

IVF and E2 level

Hi Dr. Q

I went in for E2 and U/S today after 9 nights of stimulation. Things seem to be going well: around 17 follies (there may be more that are really small which they didn't measure) varying in sizes from 16mm down. Was taking 150 Menopur, 150 Follistim with 5 Lupron. Then Follistim was cut in 1/2 for two nights. Today my E2 went from 953 on Thursday to 2193 and Follistim was cut out completely. Is there a point where the E2 can get too high or as long as it is consistently going up it's ok? How are things sounding to you? I am starting to drink some Gatorade, any other suggestions? THANKS!!!
