is it normal to have 2 days of period. My first day was heavy but after that it is light on the 2nd day. would that has anything to do with not getting pregnant? I do have a normal cycle of 28/29 days just a short AF. I had two childeren in the past but wanting to have more. I have my blood work and everything is normal and i am ovulating. Just curious with having short period has anything to do with pregnancy...

I ovulated on cycle day 10 this month and had the IUI on cycle day 11. Does it mean I had a long Luteal phase. Is that good or is that bad? My body is like clock works, i always have a 28 day cycle. Sometimes i might have 27 days or 29 days but mostly its 28 days.

Hello, my name is Samantha. I have been trying to concieve for 1 year now (off and on). Last month (7/20) I started taking Clomid. I took 50mg cycle days 5-9. It gave me horrible mood swings so, I decided not to take it again this month. But, I am now on cycle day 37 and I have not started my period! My cycles normally last anywhere from 28 to 31 days. 37 days is NOT normal for me. As soon as I start my period I am going to use the clear blue easy fertility monitor. Anyway, I was wandering if my cycle is this long because of the Clomid?? I also wanted to know if my cycles will go back to normal, and how long it takes for the clomid to get out of my sytem? I hope I didn't mess anything up (in my body) by taking clomid :( Thank you for your time. Have a great day!

Hi Dr Q - is it hormones that effect the length of a period? Mine used to last 5 days and now past couple of years last anything up to 9 - 10 days. The last 5 days are very light (pantie liner more that sufficient). What causes it to last so long? Can this effect fertility? I seem to ovulate around the 14 day mark (cm with blood tinge). I am wondering of this longer period is a hormone imbalance and if so does this effect fertility. (I know there is not a serious problem with uterus etc as had smears and u/s done all ok). My gynie had no explanation of the period length and it was not an issue to me at the time as was not ttc.Thanks!!

Dr. Q, Sorry to have so many questions. On birth control pills my periods were of course 28 days. When not on pills my periods were very regular at 31-32 days. After just stopping the pill do I expect ovulation on the 28 day pill schedule or my normal 31/32 day schedule?

Ok here's how my cycles are and how they "flow". On average my cycles are 36 days. I usually have a period between 33-36 days. I only had 1 cycle in which it was 41 days.I have NEVER had a period 28 days. My blood flow has never been abnormally light or abnormally heavy. Always within the normal flow range. Sometimes i will get cramps and sometimes i won't. I have NEVER had spotting between periods and have NEVER gone over 41 days in length.

Do u think in a nutshell that i am ovulating regulary given my history? I have also had 2 pregnancies and 2 healthykids. Oh, im also almost 27.

My average cycles length based on my 3 months of cycles was 36 days. Is that not normal? I have never gotten a period more than 41 days. If the normal range is only to 35 then is something wrong w/ me??

hi, been trying to concieve since jan, this is when my periods started to regulate after coming off the depo injection last august,last month i had a 31 day cycle but generally a 28, today is day 29 and i have done a pregnancy test but its negative, been a little crmapy yeaterday and had sore and sensitive breasts for 5 days, i just need some advice please

Hi Doctor,

Usually i have my periods in 26 days after it starts the previous time... But today is 33 days past i had my previous periods..

And there are no signs for that such as stomach ache or my vagina becoming re etc..

I have a boyfriend n we actually havent had sex.. He never penetrates inside me only to avoid me getting pregnant.. Also whenever he touches the penis its outside my vagina and with his condom on.

1)Is there any chance that his cum touching my vagina outside can make me pregnant?

2)Also i have masturbated quiet frequently this month.. Does this result in delaying of periods?

3)Should i take a pill to prepone my periods? If Yes, which one? And do we require a prescription for that.

4)The problem is that we are very serious about our relationship and even our families know about us. But, we cant consult with our families about this problem. Both of us are quiet tensed about what has happened and dont have concrete knowledge about this

My last periods started on 28th May. We enjoyed ourselves as i told you earlier on 20th May and 16th June.

We are absolutely sure about 16th June that we didnt do anything wrong.. Can a thing done more thAn a month earlier stop my periods..

When not on the birth control pill my cycles were very regular say from the 13th to the 13th of the nest month. Is this too long to be ovulatory orto have good quality eggs?

Im on my first round of clomid 100 mg...and forgot to take it on day 5, so took it day 6-10. I was very hopeful this month, but I just tested on cd 29 and got a bfn. Can clomid lengthen the cycle??? I have NEVER missed a period and only once in my life can I recall my cycle being 31 days (2 months ago). I am pretty darn regular. My next question is this....at what cycle day do I get worried? I have one more hpt test. Im thinking I will wait until cd 32 and test again if no AF. But what if it comes up bfn, and then I still dont get my AF? Then what? I am not being monitored close by my ob/gyn....at what point should I go back?

I always have a 5 to 7 day AF. Well this month it was only 3 days and it was not heavy at all and it was brown blood. Im not on any BC or anything like that.

AF also came early even if I went by the 1st + OPK.

Could someone explain or have any ideas on this to help me out?
