I was on CD 15, but AF just started! What the heck?!?! I'm really getting sick of this! I have 7-9 day periods on average, but I'm only off for about a week before AF comes again!

What's going on? What causes this?

Anovulation

Hi,

I am wondering what could be causing me to have anovulatory cycles. I have been using OPK's for the last two months and in both those months have not managed to get a positive. The tests will start to show a surge and never actually register positive before going back to showing nothing again. I always have EWCM around the time of the mini surge and last month I was also using a fertility microscope that showed ferning about two days after the darkest test. My cycles are irregular and can last anywhere from 30 - 45 days. Oh and I have also been on 50mg of clomid for the last two months. When I have done the progesterone test they always want to take them on CD21 and I don't usually show signs of ovulation until CD20-22. However they tell me the progesterone tests show positive for ovulation. How can this be? Sorry, this is so long... I look forward to hearing your reply.

i usualy have 40 day cycles. my lst cycle began on july 11 and since then i have not had a period- negative tests but some symptoms- fuller breasts, lots of headaches, some metal taste in my mouth, sore muscles ,food and smell aversions, just had a baby 6 months ago but i am not breastfeeding. what do you think?

Irregular periods

I have irregular periods. It comes when it wants, but the average is every 39 days. Sometimes I'll get it 15 days after my last. Anyways I only get a normal, red, 5-7 day, bleeding flow every other month. The other months it's just light, 3-5 day, brown spotting. Could something be wrong with one of my ovaries? Or is this normal? I don't know if I ovulate every month but I know there are months I do.

**We've been ttc for the past 11 months with no luck. We go for fertility testing on Sept 2nd.

Good Morning Doctors, I have very Irregular periods (36-45 days), diagnose PCOS. Five years agos i had tweens but Im searching for the third baby. I have been on metformin(3 months)and Clomid (one cycle) my last perios was July 18 and drink clomid for 5 days. Next Period august 22. I have some pain in my right ovary, backage, headache and feeling that is my period but it hasnt show up. Also breast tenderness. I wantto know if this are goos symptoms of pregnancy and when should i take a home test ( i took one last week but is was Neg), also if the pain in my ovary is something wrong?

Dear Doctor, my husband and i has been trying for the past 6-8 moths to make babiess but still no signs of any pregnacy. am 34 year and my husbad is 42 . my husband already has one child. our docter says there is othing wrong with us. and am really worried. i don't want to be 35 before i get pregnant.

is not easy to track my fertility days because my Menstrual dates keep changeing. my last Menstrual date was July 31. and i need help as of what to do next

hi my periods started late this month that is unlike my regular 30 day cycle it started 6 days late.i have been trying from the past 5 months .it is not possible out here to get a opk so could you pls help if ther is any way how to know wen im ovulating and the right dates to have intercourse. my last period date was 08.08.08.and last month it was 03.07.08.pls suggest me the days i should try .

Four the last 5 months i have been taking provera to start my period. I have not been ovulating on my own. Last cycle I tried 80mg of soy a day for 5 days but it was very late in my cycle. I got a positive opk.However I have failed to start my period. 19DPO with neg hpt. If I got a positive opk then why no af. I am definetly not preg..Anything I can do

I'm 23 years old. I was on birth control pills for 1 year and went off of them when me and my husband wanted to get pregnant. I didn't have a period for 7 months then when it did come I got an ovarian cyst. It has been a year and a half and I was just pregnant a month ago with Triples but lost the. My doctor has diagnosed me with low progesterone and I want to know is there somewhere natural through foods that I could get progesterone, and what would help my ovaries to wake up so I don't have to use clomid again???

Hi everyone. I just saw my doctor this morning because I have been off birth control since March and have only had one period (which was induced using Provera). My cycles were irregular before birth control. Recently, I have been TTC but have also lost about 15 pounds (I was trying to shape up and eat healthier...it worked!). I am now 120 lbs at my lightest, down from my heaviest which was 134 lbs.

Is this weight loss significant enough to mess up my ovulation? My doctor said it could be a factor.

So my next question is, if I start increasing my calories and eating not "as" healthy, will that help? And how quickly? In other words, will my cycles be messed up for a few months now?

My dr gave me provera again and is doing 2 blood tests this month. We will go from there...I'll see her again in 6 weeks.

Is it likely I'll ovulate this month at this point...or will I need the clomid (she said we'd try that depending on blood test outcome).

Sorry for all the questions, I'm starting to get so nervous!

Birth Control and Clomid?

Hi. I have PCOS. I have been taking Matformin and Progesterone. I talked to a RE and he told me that after 3 months on Metformin, we may need to try Cloimd. But, he said, before starting the Clomid, that they'd put me on birth control for 1 cycle to regulate it.

Why would they do this? It doesn't make sense to me.

Dear Dr and ladies

My last three cycles have been 29 days, 21 days and 30 days. This cycle 4 is again 21 days. Is there any reason that I should have a 21 day cycle every second or third month? Can anybody offer some advise? I don't know if I ovulated or not. This last cycle I had a + OPK on cd 12 which means I should of only got af 14 days after that but af showed on cycle day 21.

last month, and this month again I keep having a light bleed after sex. It is always just before my period starts. Last month I had bleeding after sex for three days then brown spotting for a day or two then had period for two days. My cycle used to be brown spotting for two days then period for about 4 to 5 days.

I have started bleeding after sex again this month. It doesn't feel like period has started cos usually get bad cramps.

Is this normal?

The only other thing I have noticed that is different about these two months is that I have been getting cramps and pains in the middle of my cycle.

Can anyone shed some light on my odd cycle?

Hello,

I have a question regarding my luteal phase. My cycles generally last anywhere from 25-33 days. My husband and I started trying to conceive last September 2007, and we found out we were pregnant at the beginning of March 2008. Unfortunately, I miscarried two weeks later. Since that time, I have started charting my basal body temperature. I am currently in my fifth month of charting and have noticed that my luteal phase is extremely inconsistent. Below is the pattern for the past four months:

Cycle 1

Length: 27 days

Ovulation: CD 16

Luteal Phase: 11 days

Cycle 2

Length: 25 days

Ovulation: CD 16

Luteal Phase: 9 days

Cycle 3 (I started taking 100mg of B6 at the beginning of this cycle)

Length: 33 days

Ovulation: CD 19

Luteal Phase: 14 days

Cycle 4 (continued taking 100mg of B6)

Length: 26 days

Ovulation: CD 16

Luteal Phase: 10 days

From everything I have read, it is the ovulation day that fluctuates while the luteal phase length stays fairly consistent. Is it possible that I have a luteal phase defect? My husband and I desperately want to get pregnant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi...Im new to the site. I just turned 32 in June and having been trying on and of for several years to conceive unsuccessfully. I decided a couple of months ago to get a little more serious about it. I've been using the clear blue easy fertility monitor for 2 months and have yet to receive a "ovulation" reading..tho I believe I have ovulated. I have breast tenderness..back aches..the whole nine yards. My periods have been irregular as of a few months. Once 28 to 30 day cycles...they have run into 40 + days the last couple which kinda scares me as this is not normal. Saw the doctor back in March for bad back aches and had an ultrasound done which revealed my problem to just be painful ovulation. Anyway..I've noticed the spotting between my periods over the years...usually after sex and I was wondering if this was normal?? I just spotted last night...August 3rd...July 29th as well I believe and a week or before that. It just has me worried so I thought I'd ask if this is normal. Thanks for any help...and baby dust to all.

Hi......i have been having irregualar periods from past 4 years. I consukted a gynaeo when this problem started, she advised me to take a Primoult N Tablet for 3 days 3 times a day, so 6 days after taking the tab, I used to get my periods.I have continuued this process from 4 years. Now I am married and I want to concieve, I am trying from past 7 months, but there is no sign of pregnancy.I am scared my irrgular periods is a concern and the tables which I am taking from several years maybe affecting. I have got certain scans done, results are normal. Please suggest how do I concieve and how to get my periods regular.I am really really worried.

Clomid and Irregular Cycles??

Hello everyone,

Has anyone on here taken clomid and had different length cycles?

On my first round of 50mg I did not ovulate and did not start my period on my own so they put me on provera. The second round at 100mg I ovulated nd started my period on CD29...with only 2-3 days of bleeding. I am now on my third round of clomid at 100mg, and I am on CD30 with no signs of AF. I also had a progesterone level of 14 this round compared to last time of 46. But they think i still ovulated this time.

Any answers would be helpful!
