They say these 8 things will increase fertility

8 steps to increase fertility

1. Maintain a healthy weight (and lose weight, if you’re overweight).

2. Avoid trans fat. Trans fat is typically found in stick margarine, fried foods and hydrogenated oil.

3. Stop eating excessive sugar and refined carbohydrates.

4. Consume more protein from vegetables rather than from animals. Good sources of vegetable protein include beans (all types) and lentils.

5. Eat fiber-rich foods. Best sources of fiber include vegetables, fruit and whole grains.

6. Consider taking a standard multivitamin.

7. Exercise every day for at least 30 minutes.

8. Consume one daily serving of full-fat dairy (i.e., 1 cup whole milk, full-fat yogurt, or 1-2 ounces cheese). That’s because a recent report showed full-fat dairy may help increase fertility in women more so than low-fat/nonfat dairy. That said, full-fat dairy is loaded with calories and saturated fat, thus I recommend you make only ONE of your daily servings full fat.

I had been doing so much already but was not doing any of the things above. I guess I will have to add that to the Tao of Wellness, Naet Treatments, B12, B6, Follic Acid, Baby Aspirin, Fish Oil, Prenat Vits, Probiotic, Metformin, Clomid etc...

Let me know what kinds of things you are doing or trying--especially if they worked for you...

Dose a Higher Dose Clomid=Worse Side Effects?

I've experienced quite a few side effects on Clomid. including: fatigue, weight gain, iritability (sorry DH), sore boobs, hot flashes and night sweats.

I feel bad, cuz hubby just doesn't understand the correllation between hormones and moodiness.

In the 3 months I've been on Clomid & Ovidrel, I've gained back about 10 lbs of the 20 I lost last winter. I asked about Femara to my new RE, and he said it's weaker than Clomid and not as effective. So, since he wants me on stronger drugs (he was gonna do ALL follistim till I told him we were cash poor), I asked about upping Clomid and he said we could do that and add Follistim to that. But, for this month, I want to just do 100mg Clomid+IUI with my OB till hub's semen issues are worked out.

Anywho, I'm worried that as my Clomid dose increases, so will my side effects.

If you've had a Clomid dose upped, can you tell me if your side effects increased?

Does IUI increase the risk for multiples more than just Clomid?

I am starting my 4th round of Clomid this month, and my doc is giving me 2 more rounds after this, and if it doesn't work, it's onto IUI. I know with the Clomid our chances of twins alone is 1/20 as opposed to the normal 1/100. Does the IUI itself pose a higher risk for multiples more than 2? Or is it just when it is associated with other fertility meds, i.e. hcg shots, etc.

BBT and O?

Hi Dr. Q and Girls,

I have started charting again this month because if we aren't preggo byu next month we will be going back to the dr. and I want to be able to give him all the info I can. I am learning knowledge is power! Anywho..

I got my +opk on Thursday, cd 13. Yesterday am my temp dropped to 96.9, and I expected it to rise this am, since yesterday would have been O day? But this am, it was still 96.9?? Is this normal? Am I wrong in thinking there should have been an increase this am? I am still feeling some O symptoms, which is normal for me..bloating, cramping, pain on my side, etc.

Thank to all and have a marvelous Easter!

Increase in CM after ovulation could be a sign of pregs...

Hello Dr.Q and everyone,

well i am on my cd22 today and i believe i ovulated on cd15. For the past 5 days or so, i've been feeling really tired, mood swings and breasts tender. I know those could be signs of pregnancy and as well as pre-menstruation, but since yesterday i've been notice something different, my Cm got really, i mean really thick and white, it was the first time ever that i saw this kind of CM on me. I read that when the progesterone are high due to the pregnancy, CM thicks as barreir to sperm as well to bacteria. Today i've also been having some cramps, could be implantation. Someone could have implantation without spoting?

bye,

and BABY DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
