Trying to get preggo w Fertility Monitor!!!

Has anyone successfully used a fertility monitor with PCOS and a normal LH level. I have normal LH and a 28-32 day cycle. Just found out I have small cyst on my ovaries. The hubby and I got married last year and really want to get preggo. We have not officially started because my Doctor suggest that I lose 15-20 lbs. Well I have lost 8lbs so far and want to help my chances. Just bought a clear blue fertility monitor off ebay. Just trying to see if anyone has had any look with them?

ttc#1

Dx w/PCOS 2/2010

trying to lose 12 more lbs

so i have not started my period yet after 2 months

i have no idea when my last period was in November . I do know I have not had one since december 8th and pretty sure it was not the last week of november. As of today it has been 33 days and and i have been regular since august. on friday 1/8 i wiped and there was light pink today the same thing.I have had cramps off an on and a weird feeling in my low abdomen i am tiered all the time. I took a test and it was negative its been about 1 1/2wk I have been trying to get pregnate for a very long time. In august i took femera for the 3 months prior with no results and it made me a bit moody.the doctor also said i has a 3cm (about) cyst on oneof my ovarys that he said i should not worry about.but its driving me nuts. could i be pregnate? Or is spotting one day with 3 days between, my period?. should i retest? wait?

what can I do to stop miscarrying?

This is my 2nd miscarriage. I don't understand what I can do to make things better? We are currently seeing an RE because my dh has very low morpholgy (1%). All of my tests indicate that I'm ok- and this is the 2nd time we've conceived on our own- but I keep miscarrying. Is there anything that I can ask my RE to check or look for to help me conceive and carry? I'll be 38 this year and feel hopeless. What can I ask or do???

Thanks

Emotional and wanting to give up

I feel like I took fertility head on and have done everything my Dr. and the books are telling me to do.I don't know why I can't ovulate anymore and now it seems more real to me that I am just out of luck this time. Many other people before me have said they've never got a diagnosis and continued to be infertile there whole lives. I must be one of them.Is all this heart ache really worth it? is it more pain then reward? There has to be other means I can try.

What have you done to take control of your fertility? when did you give up? I am looking for help, advice,a listening ear,a buddy in my lonely world. do you stand alone in this great big universe as well?

Trying to conceive with PCOS

I am a 30 yr old female.

I started having my cycle when I was 13 for two months then it stopped. I never was pregnant.

I never had a period again until I under went gastric bypass surgery in June 2008 which I was bleeding down there for over a month an a half. I had to go thru kidney dialysis from JUNE until Mid. Aug. When my kidney's again worked on their own. No issues since.

I also didn't have any normal setting cycle or any cycle at all until June 2009 in which I had a normal cycle lasting 6 days which shocked me.

I finally went in to see a gyno. and was test for PCOS and it was negitive. She put me on birthcontrol to help keep me regular. However, me and my fiance' want a baby in the wrose way so she said well after a few months go off the pill and try for a year... and if nothing she could put me on something to help us concive.

However, I went off my birthcontrol on the 20th of last month and I should have had my cycle around the 20th of this month but nothing. Hospital did a preg. test and it was negitive.

I need to know what might be going on that I am so messed up? I still am over weight I am 230 pounds, but I have many friends who weight more then me and have 3 kids. What could my problem be and is there anything that can be done so I can conceive?

what to expect after an ovectomy

I am not sure if i spelled it right, but I am told I have to have an ovectomy. My right ovary has a mass in it, and my dr. wants to remove it. Because the mass is the same size as the ovary, the easiest/best thing to do, is remove the whole ovary.

I want to know what comes next..... I only have 1 tube, due to having had an ectopic. My dr. is uncertain if the left ovary is still functioning, because when the tube exploded, and the dr did surgery to "clean it up", it looks like there is scar tissue on that ovary.

The hope is that the ovary is still functioning enough so that I do not go straight into menopause...... Is that possible? Can having the "good" ovary removed cause me to go into menopause? How does that work!!???

I never thought to ask my new dr all of these questions, because I was still in shock over the whole fact the pain is not caused by yet another "simple" cyst, but rather a "mass" ( also referred to as "tumor")

And yes, if you have not guessed it already, I AM FREAKING OUT ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING!!!!!!!!

Has anyone else been through this? I feel all alone in this. I am only 30, and being faced with menopause!

How do I know when to test for pregnancy if I don't know when I ovulate?

I don't know the exact day my last period was except I know it was around the middle of October. I don't know how long my cycles are nor do I know when I ovulate.
Waiting for Doctors approval for Tubal Reversal

Im 27 , a mother of 3 healthy living boys. Ages 10, 8 & 6 (from previous marriage). Engaged to my soul mate. Had my tubes tied since 2003. My fiance and I are wanting to have a baby (or 3) of our own . I found a Doctor that I trust that will do a great job on my TR. Dr. Rogers in Jackson TN. Anyone know her? Well I have already faxed her my Post Operative report and letter if introduction. Waiting for her to tell me whether or not I am a canidate for the TR opperation. Waiting on a letter in the mail is killing me. I was going to go with Dr. Levin in KY but he has a packed schedule and we just cant wait that long. We have been talking about a baby of our own for 4 yrs. Ok... So my questions are::: When you had your TR, how long did it take to get you schedule? What doctor did you use? , how much pain is envolved, What meds are prescribed for pain, was you TR successful? I have already had pre-opp test done which included: PAP and full pelvic exam, CBC (complete blood count) and STD tests. Got all of my results back yesterday except for the PAP results. All blood work came back good. No STD's and blood count is perfect. PAP results take 2 weeks so I should have them on the 11th of Nov. So how long will I have to wait for the approval from the Dr.? Do you think I will be approved ? Im 27 yrs old. I weigh 141 lbs, im 5 ft 6. Filshie clips is the method used for my Tubal Ligation procedure. Its been 6 yrs having the clips on my tubes.... Thanks in advance for your help & support.

In Need of Some Support!!!

I am 25 and my hubby is 30, we started trying to conceive last July, it has almost been one year.. About 6 months ago the Dr. told me that I do not ovulate naturally and that I need to take a Steroid, and Clomid to assist with that.. I took Clomid for one trial, and developed a larger cyst.. I now have been off Clomid for two months, and this month the Dr has me taking Birth Control pills to help reduce the size of the cyst.. I am so frustrated with all the different drugs and besides that, I have been bleeding for the first two weeks of being on the pill.. Can some one shed some light on my situation.. I feel like we are never going to be blessed with a baby!!

Clomid Questions

I have been trying to conceive with my fiance of two years for almost 18 months now! I have unknown infertility problems. I just finished up my first time use of Clomid! I have not had any side effects from it and I am now ovulating. Today is cd 14 and I am ovulating...this is normal for me. I get my period every 28 days and most time ovulate on day 13 or 14, usually 14.

Is there anything that you can recommend for me to do while ovulating?

The doctor is thinking of increasing my dose of Clomid from 100mgs to 150mgs if this cycle is not sucessful...does the higher the dose produce more eggs?

Also I read somewhere that the higher the dose of Clomid you are on the higher your chances are for twins or multiples.

I was told that since I do not have a family or personal history of twins that my chance is around 10%...but will that 10% increase if my dosage of Clomid increases.

I don't care if I have triplets (as long as all the babies and myself stay healthy), I just want to prepare myself for that chance. Also, I have two other children

to previous partners, ages three years old and seven years old.

My partner has two kids to previous partners and they are ages 12 and 8, we just can NOT seem to even get pregnant to one another.

I heard that prior births could cause twins to occur whie using Clomid. Is that true?

Sorry for the million questions, today is Sunday, so my doctor is NOT open or I would call. My doctor is NOT monitoring me except for me to come in on cd 22 for and altrosound to see if I am pregnant. Thanks for ANY answers you can give me.
