Babies Heartrate

At your first sonogram appointment don't they tell you what your babies heart rate is? My first ultrasound will be this Monday at 7 wks and 2 days. Will they tell my my babies heart rate?

Question Dr.Q and Ladies

Hi Dr.Q,

I was wondering if you could help me with something. I am 13w6d pregnant and my husband and I rented that fetal doppler last week. I was wondering if there should be a limit on how much I use it? I have been using it once or twice a day is that bad for my unborn child. Also It has the digital read out on it and it has always been between 150-160 and this morning it was in the 140's is that bad that the heartrate went down? Maybe it was still sleeping this morning or something? I dont know but I'm a little worried. I love using it because I love hearing the baby but I dont think it was a good thing for me to rent because I always tend to worry about pretty much everything. What do you think? Please help! Thanks so much in advance :)

Fetal Doppler Question... Can someone help!

My doppler came in the mail today and I dont know what the heck I'm doing. It took me a while to find the heartbeat and I think it was because I was moving the probe around too fast but I ended up finding it... I think!

I got the monitor with the bpm readout and it was all over the place! It was between 150-160 and then it shot up to 180 then went down to like 80 and then shot up again to 150 then went up to 210 then went down to 65? Whats going on? Is my monitor broken? Did I even hear the baby's heartbeat or was it my own? Should I call my doctor? I mean I did have a fast heartrate around 150-160 but then it was gone, so was that the baby's? Can someone help? Thanks so much in advance! Ohh I'm 13w1d pregnant, thanks!
