Hi, my name is lorrie. And i am 43 years old. I am new to this whole thing. And i am afraid, it might be to late for me to conceive. I have all the will, and hope in the world though. I have a fiance. we have been together for seven years, and engaged for three years.We both want a baby more than anything in the world. Our hearts ache, even though we try not to show it. We both end up in eachothers arms. each month my cycle comes. He nor i have ever had children. He is younger than i am. Not that it matters, his age i mean. But i was told that the age difference might help us to conceive. We have been trying for a year this past july with no results. I cant afford it, but i cant afford not to. But to see a fertility dr.(@ 290.00 for the first visit.) In march, and even than. i am nervous that hes going to tell me, my door has closed. The only test i have right now is blood work from my g.y.n. a hormone level of some kind. They ran it last july. They told me that my levels or points did not indicate that i was perimenopause. So i thank God for that. But than the dr. also said that they really couldnt tell much from that kind of panel. So been ttc 20 months in, on the old ovulation scale. and in home ovulation test's. So i am really concerned and nervous. My heart goes out to anyone who wants a baby more than anything. So i cant wait for march to come till my endro. appointment, and thats about where i am right now in this journey. And who ever might read this "Good Luck" and dont give up your dreams.

Have Irregular periods, want to conceive

Am 27yrs old and its been 1yr since am married.Now we are planning to have a baby,however,I have irregular periods and so do not know when I ovulate. Also for the past few days am getting a dark brown thick mucus like discharge.Does this mean am about to get my periods?

Hello doctor,

can you pls help me!!!

I have a problem related to my periods. They rarely came without medicine...when i was 16 yrs old my doctor recommended ultra sound. Report is----

Age: 16 yrs

Uterus: there is antiverted, normal echotexture uterus measures 5.1 X 3.1 X 2.4 cms. (mild smaller).No distinct fibroid/mass seen.

NoPOC/Gestational sac seen. Endomatrial cavity is 5mm in thickness and central and continous.

Right ovary 3.3 X 2.6 X 3.0 cms. (13.4 cc).

Left ovary 3.3 X 2.4 X 3.6 cms. (14.9cc).

No free fluid seen in POD.

Bilateral ovaries are seen seprately, and are prominent shows multiple follicles of similar size.

No adnexal mass / collection seen.

Opinion : Bilateral Bulky Ovaries PCOS.

Mild Smaller uterus.

Then she recommend me M2Tone only 2 tab thrice a day.... after 2 years i stopped taking medicines.... Again last year i go for ultra sound and report is-----

Age 22yrs

Uterus : Smaller in size 5.5 X 2.8 X 2.8cms with normal echotecure antiverted

Uterine outline is smooth

There is no uterine mass/fibroid seen in relation to uterine myo/endomatrium

Endomatrial cavity is 06mm in thickness with regular midline position.

Both ovaries are seen with increased size, shape & volume

Right ovary measures 23 X27 X28mm (9cc)

Left ovary measures 28 X20X28mm(09cc)

No free fluid seen in recto uterine pouch.

Now i hv lost my patience and just wanna knw that Is it possible to cure my problem....

BD-ing after trigger

My RE called to tell me the results of my u/s today. I had 2 follicles on my right ovary--one 16 and the other 14. He told me to take my follistim tonight and trigger tomorrow night.

I have 2 questions...

-Are those follies going to be big enough to ovulate?

-When should I begin BD after the trigger? He told me to BD the evening after I trigger, but I have read that most of you BD the same night as the trigger.

Any advice?

I have irregular periods ever since on gotten off depo provera in Jan. 07. Sometimes they are average of 28 or sometimes 32. Within the last couple of months I’ve missed my period for 2 months. The first time is was cd58 still no period. They had placed me on prometrium and within 7 days of being on it I finally bleed. Now again this month I have the same problem and today I’m on cd36. I’ve notice today my cm has been really weird and I’ve been having to use a panty liner just to keep dry. My breast have been tender and they were for last 3 weeks but then stop for couple days and know again there tender. I’m just wondering is it possible to still ovulate if you miss a period? What do you think is going on? I’m I ovulating or having a cycle (just without bleeding) or is that even possible?

Hello ladies!

As I said on my previous post "Placenta previa", I haven't forgotten about you all. I don't have as much time to get on here and respond to posts, but I still get on when I have a chance to stay updated with everyone. You're still in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm now 25 weeks pregnant today :) Gosh, I can't believe I'm that far along already and approaching the 3rd trimester. I'm getting a little scared and nervous, but I guess that's normal for 1st time moms. We have decided to name our little guy Jacob.

Cervical Mucus and ovulation

I've been having lots of fertile cervical mucus for the past 3 days. Today is the 15th day of my cycle and the OPTK is still hasn't detected LH surge. Could it be that I've not ovulated or the OPTK is not working. Please help.

I recently visited my doctor to inform her that I had 5 missed periods. But I was trying to get pregnant and hadn't succeded. I had a pelvic exam done to make sure that i did not have any fibroids...etc. Nothing was found so my doctor determined that the reason i had not gotten pregnant yet was because i was just not ovulating.She prescribed me Provera 5mg...for ten days.Monday of this week September 24th was the 10th day. And today September 26th i started my period. I'm pretty sure my period will last 7-8 days for this is how long they would usually last because I have always had Irregular periods. I would like to know what is the best way for me to find out what day's i will be ovulating?
